I came here to talk about trading my car in. They took my keys and the "manager" kept me in his office and tried to convince me my car was too unsafe to leave their property. He verbatim told me "I have 3 daughters, if one of my girls came in with a vehicle in this shape I'd be very concerned." My car was perfectly fine to drive and had less than 70,000 miles. They tried to scare me because I was a young woman going in there alone. I would NEVER recommend this place. They talked me through how their process worked before the oil change, and then after had a printed packet of information about the results and recommendations for more work, including specific pricing which can be hard to get from mechanics! This review is long overdue and I am not sure that I am posting this in the right place as I attended to Yelp Elite event for a complimentary oil change. I could not find a link for the event to write a review so here it goes. A. FANTASTIC event and a great way to experience a new business. I would gladly make the trip from Cottonwood to Flag to have my CR-V looked after by these guys. The communication was a little off both when I called to make the appointment and again when I checked in, as the guys with whom I spoke were not clear about the event. But end of the day, no problem, the Yelp event was honoured, and giving that we're in a pandemic, stuff like this is bound to happen. A little smile and some patience, no worries. B. The service is fast, friendly and efficient. I am reluctant to service my car at a dealership because of the reputation for overpricing and recommending services that aren't needed. I was made aware of some maintenance issues that will be needed, but there was no pressure to take any of them. What I really appreciated is that Findlay Honda provided me with a comprehensive print out of upcoming services that I will need and their cost. So less than an hour in, I drive out with fresh oil. I thought a dealership in a smaller town would be different. Boy was I wrong. I called and discussed with the rep that I needed my dealer-installed after-market alarm disabled because it was too sensitive and driving my new neighbors in Flagstaff nuts. I dropped off the car and we again spoke about the after-market alarm. When I called later to get an update, I was quoted $250+ to have the alarm removed--which I declined. I went to pick it up and they tried to charge me a $170 diagnosis fee--for a problem I already told them about! $420+ to remove the alarm, no thanks. They did not even offer to disable it. Why would I have ever agreed to pay $170 to diagnose a problem that I already knew? The guys in reception were great until I disputed their ridiculous fee, and then downright rude after their manager agreed to waive the phantom fee. Bottom line: They tried to charge me $170 to diagnose a problem I was well aware of and explained to them over the phone & in person and were rude and unprofessional when I successfully disputed the fee with their manager. read more

30 miles south of Flagstaff last weekend, the warning light came on that my transmission was too hot. This was just two weeks after having the transmission serviced as my Honda Dealership in Phoenix. After pulling over and contacting them, they recommended taking the car to a Honda dealership in Flagstaff. This was 5:00 on Friday. I called Findlay and spoke to Toby. He was fantastic, got me in at 8:00 the next morning. Toby tried working w/ the dealership in Phoenix to cover the costs of the services (was unsuccessful but not his fault) but provided some great discounts and had my car back to me w/in a few hours. I greatly appreciate his trying to work w/ the other dealership and getting my car in on a Saturday morning at the last minute and getting it back to me so quickly. read more

After my 2006 honda CRV's transmission went out, my significant other and I were in a predicament. We were 7+ hours away from home, not even in our home state, and had to make a decision quickly about how to get back due to time constraints. Luckily Ian helped us. Half hour for an oil change and rotation, absolutely stellar. Requiring masks and distancing, non existent. Chairs are no more than 30 to 36 apart. With that in mind, they don't require anyone to wear masks indoors as the two photos show. One has mask on wrist and the other about 4 feet away just had it over his ear. He knew he was in the wrong as everytime an employee walked by, he would hold it up close to his mouth. After the third Findlay employee walked by and looked at him w/o saying anything he stopped bothering. I really expect more from businesses I have spent 10s of 1000s of dollars with and their previously good reputation. If Findlay doesn't care about each customer's health during this upswing in Covid their choice. But it is my choice to go somewhere else to have my Accord serviced. read more

Got an oil change/checkup here, a few months later I am under my car to do an oil change and have broken a wrench trying to losen the extremely over torqued oil drain plug. The techs must have less knowledge on cars than a toddler who just watched Cars, the Pixar movie. We took it to another place in town (R & A) and they said it had too much oil in the car, they burned it off and the car is fine!! We are driving it with no problems! How does this happen Honda? Well, they've done it again! The guys at Findlay Honda Flagstaff have exceeded every expectation! First of all, I went in for an oil change and ended up with a new car that cost me less than the one I was already driving! I know that means they're good at sales, but they really did do what served me better- something I've never doubted in the almost decade we've been going to them for our cars. Dylan is one of a kind, genuinely a good guy and even though he is in finance now, he started as "our" sales person and we couldn't imagine using anyone else. He started off the whole process this time and introduced us to Bryson, another sales person. Bryson was great!! He handled paperwork seamlessly and he even DROVE to VEGAS to get the van in the color my wife wanted- she wasn't interested in any other color option and they didn'thave it here! He got the car and delivered it to us the very next day! And I can't forget to mention Travis who honestly did everything he could to take care of us. He made the Vegas pick up happen, covered the "extras" the Vegas dealership didn't put on the car and got us a lower payment than we expected! Honestly, I know car salesmen can get a bad reputation but these guys are one of a kind. Honest and actually really fun to work with! I absolutely hate the entire car buying process, but actually enjoyed my experience with Findlay Honda. My wife and I we're discussing what type of car to buy in the next few months and settled on the Honda Pilot; so, we stopped in to see what they looked like in person. We were met out front by Bryson and explained that we lived 200 miles away and weren't buying until January. He was still happy to show us around and let us test drive a Pilot without the slightest hint of pressure. If he had, we would have been long gone. At the end he gave us a card because I asked for it. After discussing the pleasant experience we had with Bryson we concluded that it may be best to buy when we can easily walk away. We came back that afternoon knowing what we'd settle for and quickly came to an agreement. Shortly there after we were driving away in a new Honda Pilot and have not experienced one moment of buyer's remorse. Everyone at Findlay Honda was a pleasure to deal with and the more I drive the Pilot the more I love it. If you live in the Phoenix Metro area and you're looking for a new Honda then do yourself a favor; book a weekend getaway in the pines and visit Bryson and the folks at Findlay Honda. I was completely blindsided by how incompetent the associates are at this establishment. I went in needing tires + work done. I explained to santos (supervisor) that I was unable to pay up front + needed financing. He proceeded to have me sign papers on a tablet + not give me any copies. Then told me I ONLY need to pay $274.88 that day and I'd just make monthly payments for the rest . I then got charged again for $268 when I had been approved for financing of $670 now because of this my bank account is seriously overdrawn with extra fees.if I knew I was going to be double charged I would have NEVER have done any work on my car. I've tried to call to resolve the issue but they keep telling me they will have someone call me and never do. read more

Do not. I repeat DO NOT even get near this dealership. I was driving through in 2020 and needed a new car so I decided to buy one here and drive it back to CA where I currently live (about 400 miles from flagstaff or so) at first I was excited and checked the car as much as I thought possible. The dew on the front hood made it hard to notice it was EXTREMELY scratched, I didn't notice until they "detailed it" and brought it back to the pick up bay did I notice, after signing the paperwork. They didn't not care at all and brushed me off with no discount or help. When I arrived in CA my 2017 HONDA ACCORD EXL has a BLOWN head gasket. The second I get home it started to overheat and drive weird, so I parked it and dealt with other life issues until I had time about a week later to fix, not knowing the severity of the issue. so I take it to the nearest dealer here to me in LA and they replaced or re worked the full engine head unit. A month later I'm driving into the mountains and my transmission completely stopped shifting and I got stuck in the middle of a wildfire in northern CA. Anyone care? No. a 3 year old Honda. So they replace the transmission after I fought with both dealers back and forth everyday for a car that hasn't even been registered yet. and not a single person here was helpful not once since I bought the car they said F you see ya later. I am just passing through Flagstaff for I am from Glendale and this is my first time bringing my 2018 Honda Accord to this Honda dealership. For starters, I give this place 2 stars because of Viktor's excellent customer service. He was the gentleman who set up my car appointment and made sure I was taken care of before and after I dropped my car off. Really great customer service from him on the phone and in person, greatly appreciated. Now, as many of you know most dealerships do a complimentary wash after getting work done on your vehicle. That being said for Findlay Honda in Flagstaff, I don't know if they just run it though the machine or spray it down with water and call it a day but the car was not clean at ALL when I came to pick it up. In fact, my car was cleaner before I brought it in for the appointment and then drove off with a filthy car. Water spots everywhere. On the hood of the car, the doors, side mirrors, windows, and rims. In addition there were smears on the doors and windows as if someone just dragged their hand across the car. VERY very unappealing.. to top it off when I went to take a seat in my car after it was brought to the bay it smelt like someone who hasn't showered in weeks was sitting in there. The smell lingered for a good 5 minutes after I left. Disgusting... I understand that these aren't your personally owned vehicles and you could "careless", but after all the money we as customers put towards your business this is what we receive in return? It's sad and disappointing...at the least. read more
