    Dozen wings, medium heat.

The search for authentic buffalo wings in Florida is over! They are here! So from word of mouth from a few people I heard that this place had the best wings. Stopped by for lunch with my sister. Had no prior knowledge other than the good wings so things you should know. It's a bar. Also a time warp. Outside the door it was 2025 inside it was 1985, complete with a cigarette dispensing machine. Oh and they allow smoking inside. It was like walking into my childhood. We grabbed a table and the bartender came over with menus and took our drink order. I got a dozen wings, medium buffalo sauce and a side of fries. My sister got a BLT and fries. She said the sandwich was great; bacon was crispy and bread thick and squishy. My wings were cooked to perfection and they were so saucy! Fries were crinkle fries, my favorite!! If you can't handle the time warp and the cigarette smoke they do takeout!

Babe's Blue Room is one of those, don't judge a book by its cover type spots. The plaza and storefront are not aesthetically pleasing but don't let that fool you. They do allow smoking in here so please be mindful with this. I found it to be a bit overwhelming because of the smaller space but once you get past that Babe's hit the spot. Aside from the smoking, the service was top notch and the food knocked it out of the park. Brittany was our waitress and she was the sweetest and gave us great recs; she even took the time to get to know us which I thought was very hospitable. The chicken wings were easily one of the best in Volusia County. Less is more. Just a dozen medium garlic, and viola. It was outrageous! Not too saucy, cooked to perfection and 10/10 on flavor. Also, my husband ordered the burger and this exceeded our expectations. From sight it didn't look that good but the flavor was excellent. 10/10 on the food. Id absolutely come back here and if you want the best wings in the area along with a kick ass burger, check them out! They're a hidden gem of Ormond!

Mom and pop little dive bar was told that the wings were good and they were big and meaty. Not very big inside but nice lots of pictures and signs to read. Love that they serve PBR beer. The bar tender that served me was very very nice. She said that the tenderloin was best looking forward to trying this out. Only thing I was not a fan of was it's a smoking bar but hey food is great and will return again.

Stopped in while my laundry dried. Was not prepared for a burger this large from a bar, HAPPILY IMPRESSED!!!! It was perfectly cooked to order. The bartender kept my coke full. Watched a plate of wings walked past and they looked amazing. Very limited indoor seating. A dozen or so spots at the bar. A couple 2 tops with high chairs, a 4 top and when I walked in a 6 top and a 2 top that were then turned to become an 8 top. Plenty of outside seating though. Few video games and a good looking pool table as well. For me personally, WOOHOO A BAR YOU CAN SMOKE IN!!!!!

The bartenders are for the most part friendly and the drinks are cold (which can be very important on a hot day in Florida). All in all, it has that Faytona area dive bar vibe and bars like this have been around forever and definitely dive bars across the country have helped create memories that I still hold close to my heart. If you are in the Ormond Beach, Florida area and are looking for a cool dive bar, Hanky Pank's Lounge is a decent enough dive bar.

With that said, I was actually really impressed with Hanky Panky's, overall! The bartender (didn't get her name) was super friendly and attentive, and the inside was nice and clean. I was expecting something dive-y, but it really wasn't like that. First time in, and I felt very welcome. Would definitely return, and probably will! The only negative (and something I knew about ahead of time), was the fact that Hanky Panky's is a smoking bar - a big turn off for me. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely prevented us from staying longer. We're it not for the cigarette smoke, I might still be there - lol! Cool hang-out spot with great service and fair prices - see you there!

Everyone just seems so happy here so you can tell that it really enjoy their jobs which makes a huge difference. We started off with the coconut shrimp and had like this coconut mayo dipping sauce was different, but it was really good, but I felt like it needed like a sweet-and-sour sauce then I had the mahi tacos with just the rice no black beans definitely still as good as the last time I tried it my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken pizza gluten-free and he ate the entire thing so that just tells you right off the bat that it was good and to finish off our dinners we ended with Keylime pie. It wasn't the best it was OK. I don't think I would have it again, though the ambience, excellent this place is adorable. It's like a diamond in the rough. No one really knows it's here but anytime ever and someone says they're going to Daytona. I always recommend this place. Go here! You will never be disappointed trust me!

I want to preface this by saying we went on a very cold day and ate indoors..the pizza was outstanding and the waiter was friendly and engaging..in other words, typical for our experiences there. Prior to this, we even brought friends who hadn't been there before and loved it...now, to our recent experience: We were seated and the waitress seemed as though she wasn't very familiar with the menu and had to check on our requests, each check took a disturbingly long time. When we brought our friends, my gal ordered a hamburger and I asked the waitress if she could have the wagyu, rather than the angus burger, she readily said yes and my gal marveled over the burger...fast forward to the last experience, the waitress said she'd have to order the wagyu as posted and it "wasn't available" as a stand alone order. So my gal settled for the angus burger and again, the wait was a bit long and as we were considering to leave, the waitress showed up, gave us our food and left. the onion rings were cold...literally...they had been out so long that they weren't even warm (our prior experiences the onion rings arrived hot and delicious). Again we waited for our waitress to return and my gal had to ask another waitress if she could get us some hot onion rings. That waitress noted the cold onion rings and brought them back to the kitchen to prove we weren't being unreasonable, which was a greatly appreciated gesture on her part. Very promptly, the "other" waitress brought our onion rings, apologizing profusely...we thanked her and when my gal started into her Caesar salad, it was inedible....soggy, nearly tasteless and resembling a hot spinach salad with soggy lettuce than a crisp Caesar salad....the upside, the second batch of onion rings were up to their usual excellent standard, the burger was good, but not the intensity of flavor their wagyu burger had. If we hadn't been semi-regulars, it is a near certainty we wouldn't go back, but we aren't going to let a single experience unravel years of good experiences.

I belong to a group of about 600 journalists across the country who participate in a blog about their experiences. Here is the recent post I sent my journalist friends about my experience at Frank's, and then Hanky Panky's, and the responses I got from fellow journalists: DANA WILKIE writes: How to Get Kicked Out of a Pool Hall So, for years I've been shooting pool recreationally. Typically, that required having a pool table in my home, which I sometimes did, or frequenting pool halls and bars to seek challengers. Recently, I began playing in tournaments at our local hall and, boy, is that learning curve steep. APA rules are different from bar rules, and so I've learned new terms like "ball in hand" and "in the kitchen." I've acquired new accoutrements, like a break stick, a shooting glove, and a pool tip shaper. These are high competitors, these pool tournament folks, and they don't suffer amateurs patiently. Compared to them, I'm a rank amateur. I was schooled about A) not chalking up the table too much; and B) not hovering too close to the table to view my opponent's shots; and C) how to improve my piss-poor, anemic breaks. So it was that I frequented another local bar here in Ormond Beach, Florida, by the name of "Frank's." There, beyond the view of these tournament sharks, I practiced on my own - perfecting angles and bank shots, learning about "walking the dog" (pool slang for rolling a ball against the rail all the way down to a corner pocket) and trying not to chalk up the table. This went well for some time, until I ran afoul of Frank's bartendress, who apparently took an instant disliking to me. Surly and rude - to several patrons, I've heard - she chided me for leaving my debit card behind, for playing music on my iPhone that "nobody wants to hear" and for - you know - chalking up the table (even though Frank's provides abundant chalk for just this purpose). So apparently, according to patrons, I further irritate said bartendress - she is inaptly named "Charity" -- by talking too much with her boyfriend and shooting against him. So, things started to get ugly. Charity's boss, the two of them friends, marches up to me one evening after I walk in, and declares that I was spotted lifting someone's purse the night before. First, the purse in question belonged to a friend and fellow shooter who asked me to move it from one chair to a chair closer to her. Second, while I'm hardly made of money, I'm not yet at the point where I need to pilfer purses. I try to object, but then realize that this owner, her name is Annette, has it out for me. So, I return to Frank's and try not to chalk up, keep my iPhone on silent, retrieve my debit card dutifully, and avoid said bartendress's sometime boyfriend. Only to be confronted one more by "Annette," who claims that there have been "too many complaints" about me and then announces she's banning me from "Frank's." Now I fully recognize that an establishment's owner has the freedom to refuse service to anyone, for any reason. I'm also aware that what went down here was about jealousy, pettiness, and retribution. Regardless, there are other local halls - including the tournament hall where shooters are tough -- but friendly and helpful. In any event, I sort of consider this a badge of honor. I've been kicked out of a pool hall! Wait 'till my future grandchildren hear about it. Meanwhile, the rumors of my apparent transgressions drifted down a few blocks to the new pool hall I began frequenting -- entitled "Hanky Panky's." Before long, the owner there, a man by the name of Mike, had it out for me. So did the woman running the tournaments there, who quickly found reason to kick me out of said tournaments after I beat her a few times. Eventually, owner Mike --a thoroughly messed up and apparently coked or methed up guy -- kicked me out as well.
