I was attracted to Babe's Pizza because of it's old style pizzeria feel. Families were gathered inside and laughing. The staff looked adequately happy to be there. My father was in town and I wanted to take him to a great, local eatery. I had been once before and liked the pizza quite a bit. (I consider myself a bit of a pizza connosieur.) But this time the pizza didn't even taste like pizza. The crust had so flavor, the sauce tasted like Chef Boyardi's and the cheese was like plastic. I have been going here for years and order delivery once in awhile. Tonight it took over an hour and 15 mins to get the pizza and it was gross. I ordered a half cheese half DOUBLE pepperoni. It came 3/4 cheese and 1/4 pepperoni (not double either)The pizza was stuck to the box and there was so much sauce it drowned out the rest of the pizza. As my wife said, this is the best pizza we've had in a long time! It was so good, we had to pick up a second pie, a take-and-bake, on our way out of town! Great sauce, toppings, and flavor. Staff are quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is classic "fun local pizza joint". They have a modest side room for groups, including the numerous local youth sports teams they sponsor. Five girls behind the counter could not seem to take an order of a large combo, with no substitutions, but need some jalapeño's and ranch on the side. Charge for each side, but still rang it up wrong, Asked for paper plates for the to go order, seemed even difficult to comprehend. I don't live in Eureka and although this place may have the best pizza in town it's pretty darn average if you live anywhere else. The pizza dough is very similar to Round Table - pizza skins rolled by machine rather than hand thrown. My pizza had the cheese burned quite a bit to the point is was largely a brown pizza and I'm wondering if it's because they put parmesan on the top before putting in the oven as I've never seen mozzarella burn quite like this. read more

Ordered the roasted chicken pizza at almost 4pm on a Wednesday, when they have a special on their pizzas. Was quoted 45 min and they delivered earlier than the estimated time! Pizza tastes great. Babes has good traditional style pizza. The lunch special (2 toppings, salad, and soda) is great for those at the workplace. One thing that disappoints me is the blue cheese dressing that I got with my salad. It was super thick and no flavor. The ranch is good though. If you like subbing for white sauce it is also good. I loved my lunch. On the advice of another Yelper I tried the stuffed mushroom pizza. It was an amazing deal, $6.49 for a mini pizza, a bottomless soda and all you can eat salad bar. Holy cow! The pizza was the best pizza I have ever had, the salad bar was fresh and cut in to reasonably sized bite-sizes, and the girl working was super nice and helpful even though she was really busy. The food here is top notch. Great pizza, wings, and sandwiches. I recommend the BBQ pizza and their hot wings...good amount of wings for the price. They also have a yummy club sandwich!! Takes some time to get your order but it's always well worth the wait in the end.
