Great customer service, warm family atmosphere. We usually order take-out or delivery as we don't have kids though and the place can get hectic with many of them running amuk. Fine with that. Our favorite pizza place closed down, and we've been trying this place out. It'd get 4 stars from me if they could add more sauce to the pizza, or one with more flavor - sometimes it tastes like there is NO sauce on the pizza, it is smeared on so thin. I'm not even a big sauce person, it's just... lacking. The lack of good sauce points out that the crust, though great consistency,/combo of soft and crisp. is also lacking a bit as well in the flavor department. Waited over an hour for our pizza which I was told about in advance. We have never received a bad pizza until now. It was burnt the crust tasted like cardboard so I called in to let them know how awful it was! I was told that I would get a 3.50 credit! Unbelievable I can't believe they boxed it up and drove it here. They sure do value us as a loyal customer 3.50 is what value they placed on us and we can keep the nasty pizza! I think we are done with Babes Pizza! Thought that was bad how about an employee who Licks his fingers while putting together a salad for a take out Menu! That's right he was filling up a container with salad dressing and got it all over his fingers and proceeded to lick his fingers clean. Great pizza and calzone. We stopped here when we got to Eureka and what a treat. We had the combination calzone and pepperoni and olive pizza. The dough was stellar (and I'm not a bread person). Though off the strip in Cutten, a few miles from Eureka this pizza, pasta and salad place is actually quite unique. I highly recommend their Lasagna as it is one of the finest I have ever had ( I heard that it is a family recipe ) They also do have some very crazy pizza combinations that will leave everyone in your family with something to eat. MY ONE COMPLAINT is that there are select times that it is a KIDS PARIDISE. Though great for them, it can be quite annoying when trying to enjoy a beer or watch the game. Their prices are high, though considering the other places in town it is on average. I highly reccomend eating at Babes! Locally owned, fresh products, Big Tvs, and friendly staff. read more

We were passing through the area on our way north and craved pizza, and found Babe's via Yelp. Are we ever glad we did! The pizza we ordered was outstanding, and the service went above and beyond. We ordered one of the specials (with pesto as the sauce, chicken, onions, green peppers, and olives) but asked for no mushrooms. An average amount of time had passed while we waited (and ate our salads); we were just starting to think it was about time when the server we'd ordered from (at the counter) came over to tell us that it would be a little bit longer, because they'd accidentally put mushrooms on the pizza; the second one was already in the oven. A short while later, a different server came over to let us know it was almost ready and see if we wanted a drink refill. They and the other staff were all friendly, cheerful, and efficient - kudos. Again, the pizza was outstanding - the fresh garlic on it, and the fresh parmesan at the table, both added to an already great pizza. The salad bar was small but the choices were very good and everything looked and tasted fresh. I'm just sorry we don't live in the area and can't eat here more often! read more

This place is great! They have some of the best, most creative pizzas around! I keep meaning to try new ones, but I like the few I've tried so much that I keep going back for more of the same! They have a great happy hour. $6 pitchers from 4-6 pm. And they don't skimp! I'm talking filled-to-the-brim pitchers of some good beer (I usually get the Eel River Blonde). They have great pizza classics, like Combo, but my favorites are the cashew chicken and the stuffed mushroom. I think the taco pizza is next on my list...It's calling my name! read more

This place has been a family fav for years! I finally tried the cheeseburger pizza tonight and it was so so good! I always love their salad bar, tons of choices, and the veggies are always fresh- and a really big portion fits into the small 'to go' box. All the staff are super friendly, hard working folks who go out of their way to please. I can see why it was so busy on a late Thurs night, came for pizza at 8:30 and they were still slammed! Thought I'd switch it up from Live From New York. This was a major disappointment. Asked for half garden delight and half chicken pesto. There was no clear half of the pizza. All of the ingredients were tossed in with a completely pesto base. There was chicken on the veggie side and the veg side was missing some of the ingredients. The garden delight was not supposed to have pesto on it. The crust was doughy and undercooked. There were two whole slices that had nothing but cheese on them. I use to love this place (I have been here a 100 times). Ever since it changes hands the quality has suffered and the prices have increased substantially. I usually prefer to keep my comments to my self if I have a bad experience as I own a restaurant and believe in messaging management over social media but this has been 3 times in a row that the staff has been rude to me but the straw that broke the camels back is when I asked for a straw for my son they said "we no longer serve them do to the new law". Knowing the law I questioned their understanding of the law (you can serve straws on request- it is not a ban), they became indignant when I asked them and very rude and stated we made our mind up. That is fine but don't lie to me about the reason and change your story and get rude about it. Sadly this will be my last time here. Sad for them as well because with all the teams I coach I spend about $1000 a year read more

I love Babes, and because I am not often up in the Cutton area of Eureka, I had not been by there for about a year. Their pizza has consistantly been wonderful and it one of the friendliest places around. Babes came to mind, when several friends got together for lunch; maybe a year or two ago and on a Sunday in the early afternoon. They put a bunch of tables together so we could all eat together, they took our orders right away, brought our drinks, and our plates for the salad bar. Their salad bar was fresh, and greens crispy with a huge array of colorful choices for our pre-pizza salads. We ordered several varieties of pizzas; and all were delicious, as has always feen the case for me. This is why I had to get on here to say to the lady who posted negative things above, that my experiences have always been positive at Babes with the food and the service always friendly. Some people may be used to greesy pizza, and Babes is not at all greesy. Rrecently saw something in the paper I think, that Babes delivers for only $3. Of course I promptly lost the clipping, but tonight I remembered seeing that, and lucky for me it is true, so I ordered a small Babes Garden Delight and a salad. As always, it was amazing (delivered very hot and fragrant), and sooner that the 50 minutes estimated. Their crust is so tasty, and I love those crunchy things on top, with, slices of red onion, bell pepper, muchrooms, artichokes hearts, spinich and really good mozzerella with a hint of garlic. The crust is better than any pizza place; yes better than RT too. For meet lovers, I would suggest the Garden Vege Delight, and add pepperoni and you are in for a real treat. The lady taking my order actually asked me which toppings I would like from the salad bar, if you can believe that? My choices were crispy greens baby tomatoes, peas, develed eggs, cucumber, red onion. and I had feta at home to add. I was on a family vacation to Humboldt County. My wife, my 2 children and I had lunch at Babes. Paintings of life in Italy surrounded me as I ate, what tasted like someone's Italian Grandma/Grandpa's secret recipes. My children were quiet. Parents, you're with me, right? They sat and ate like gentlemen because the food was that good. That's like finding a cure for colic or something. Groundbreaking. I can't get over the crust! It was crisp on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. We will continue to return to Babes when ever we're back in Humboldt. read more

My little group of 4 came down to Eureka for the Trinidad to Clam Beach Run and really wanted some pizza the night before, so I Yelped the local pizza places, decided to try out Babes based on the rating off there and then used my iPhone to get there (man, I thought we were lost a time or two, but just kept going, trusting the map). Today I ordered an Extra large pizza among other items. The person that took my order mentioned that I would get a free small pepperoni pizza because my order qualified for the weekend special. When the delivery person showed up I noticed I'd been charged around $11 for the small pepperoni that I believed was free. I received a call from the restaurant and was informed that even though it was their mistake, my small pizza was not free and I could pay for it or they could pick it up. She only offered to refund the delivery charge, $3.50 which I refused. The right thing to do was refund the extra charge due to their mistake and apologize. I received neither of those. This type of customer service is the reason for my low rating and the reason we will never visit babe's again. Furthermore I will let all my co workers know how we were treated and advise they steer clear from this restaurant. A shame, because the food is delicious. read more

Babe's has a good thing going for them. Our pizza has always been cooked with care, takeout is always a breeze and their rewards program is a nice perk. We've always been greeted warmly when we arrive, love the salad bar, and the outdoor seating is nice during the warmer months. It's a great family-friendly environment, with standard arcade games, and ice cream just next door now. We always get more than what we pay for as they always go above and beyond. Sure, I may be biased because I am related to the owners, but Babe's has fantastic pizza and a really nice ambiance! I was excited to pop in on a busy Friday night before Christmas as I have been living out of the area and haven't had Babe's in over 10 years. The pizza was the tastiest I have had anywhere in the Sacramento area, the ravioli was a hit with my 1 year old, and the salad bar was a DREAM!-best ranch dressing ever. It was also really nice to enjoy a beer while watching the basketball game on TV. The customer service was great and the entire place was tidy, even with it being so busy. Great job guys! read more

After being hung up on by the girl on the phone taking our order (mid order) and having to call back to complete my order, we waited ONE HOUR for the delivery of a small pepperoni pizza. When the pizza never arrived I then called and the girl then told me that they had no delivery drivers I would need to come in and pay full price for an old pizza that should have been delivered. They did nothing to make the situation better not even an apology, nothing but a smart ass attitude and a laugh. Never again will they be getting our business. I used to love Babe's and ordered it for lunch delivery about once a week. I even wrote a great review for them that I am now updating... Since new owners took over, however, I have had three bad experiences and will not be eating here anymore. The new management has increased the minimum purchase for deliveries which means I can no longer order it for lunch unless I get more food than I need or if I am ordering for someone else as well. My last three meals from here were not made correctly either. Simple things, like when I order a hot sandwich but it gets delivered cold, or I ask for something without cucumbers and mayo but it comes with both of those items. Clearly the focus has shifted away from great food with awesome customer service. It's disappointing to see this wonderful place go downhill so quickly. read more
