The food was just not very good, we were a table of 8 and it took almost one hour to get served. Service was spastic with sides coming out too soon and main dishes took forever. The queso was cold and congealed. The waiter was truly confused on how to handle it and apologized for serving it cold but said he couldn't just replace it with warm, and they had no way of warming it. We had our small dog with us and immediately got a table on the patio. Service was very attentive without being annoying. We order the cheesesteak, BLAT, truffle tots and Cobb salad. Everything was delicious. The cheesesteak was tender (not greasy) with just the right amount of cheese and carmelized onions. The tots were crunchy and flavorful. The salad was huge with a ton of chicken, bacon and a whole avocado. My son got the BLAT and it looked very good. I highly recommend the Pub at the Creamery for your next meal. read more

We went to The Pub for their Mother's Day specials. The menu had about eight items. Our incomplete order arrived 90 minutes after we ordered. The "Belgian" waffles were thin, overcooked and then cold. Three tiny spots of whipped cream decorated the four separated waffle pieces. They had the appearance of Eggo toaster waffles. We had to ask for syrup. The Eggs Benedict was served on a dry muffin, thin ham and no Hollandaise sauce. After the second request for sauce we were told they had run out. We also had to make several requests for items that we ordered. The only bright spot was good potatoes. Needless to say, we will not return. read more

I had a terrible experience today, the server sucked. While ordering i get interupted while ordering by the manager saying "hey you have a plate thats about to get cold", 10 minutes later she comes back and i order my drink which they cant make they bring my bfs drink. The sandwiches were soggy and fries so dry and hard they were completely inedible-- and we were so hungry since we missed lunch and could've devoured even most mediocre food with happy gusto. Instead I ate slowly and forced myself to finish because we had an early start with no time for breakfast tomorrow. I met my friend at the pub for an afternoon cocktail. They have a full bar, but only a few cocktails are listed and none of the good ones. I do remember a long cocktail menu that had all kinds of delicious options. So I was a little disappointed. I had the sidecar which ended up being quite delicious. You can have it blended or on the rocks. Our waitress was really kind and friendly and fun. She took good care of us. It was Sunday afternoon and our intention was to visit for a while. We ordered two cocktails each and one of the flatbreads to share. It was the end of our waitress's shift and she was hovering around. Apparently she had to close out her tab for the day before she could leave. So she was hustling us for the check and to pay, even though we were not done. This puts this waitress in an awful position and could have ruined her tip. I asked specifically who is the manager and why can't you get your tip after you leave? She said it had something to do with the system and she wouldn't get a tip at all if she left without wrapping us up first. Whatever the system is, it needs to change. It is plain rude to ask somebody for their payment when they are still enjoying their cocktail and appetizer. We were sitting outside at a small table, not taking up much space, and it had been less than two hours. It was not as if we had been there all day. The cocktails that I purchased was $16 for each. My friend ordered a similar priced cocktail. We spent close to $100. And were easy patrons. Yet we were treated as if they couldn't wait for us to go. Because they wanted us to pay. What if we had wanted to have another drink? After she closed out our tab no one came to our table to see if we wanted another drink. It was as if we were being ignored and they wanted us to go. This is unacceptable. This is not customer service. The place was empty and not very busy. Music blasting on the inside. I am disappointed in the pub, and will likely not choose to go there anymore. The bar staff was great while we waited for our table. Great green tea shots and again really attentive friendly bartenders. We had a large group so we expected a wait but there was some discombobulation with seating is. The table sat empty for 15 minutes. Anyways. It was pretty good food. Took a little longer than we would like to get the food out since we had children with us, but the food was good overall I tried something different, which I normally don't do and had the broccoli and beef rice bowl and it was pretty tasty The waiter was really nice and he did his best to take care of us One thing I would recommend is to not have a jukebox right by the door that doesn't sound great. It's just one big speaker blaring, I feel bad for the people sitting next to it. My wife did love the burger. I would say that was the highlight. The food tastes good, but GI distress afterwards is a given. I'm not sure why. It doesn't seem like a food poisoning type of thing. It also doesn't seem to matter what you order, and it seems to be somewhat universal among the friends and family that have eaten here. Nice place to hang out with friends and family for beer and hamburgers along with chicken wings battered in Korean BBQ sauce or muerte, buffalo, Sriracha, lemon pepper or garlic Parmesan sauce for cool $16 but $2 extra for boneless. They have the most amazing pizzas fired in the proper wood burning pizza oven and usual Salads. I love the variety of forty tap beer for all kinds of flavors and the reasonable price of less than $6. All the locals hang out here! There is a large area with a pool table and seats, huge bar that can seat fifteen people, several booths that are comfortable for four to six people and tables for four. The service staffs are fast and observant. The beer served quickly in chilled glass and excellent tasting. The two dishes were made quickly. Check the specials. They're awesome choices. Really good service and great ambiance. A bit loud, perhaps due to the very high open ceiling, but acoustics aside, it's a great look. Philly cheesesteak was tasty and not overly huge. Does not come with fries or anything so you might consider adding a salad or fries. Cesar salad is a very generous portion - came tossed with an over abundance of red onion, but easy to eat around. Fried garbanzo beans replaced the traditional croutons which was an okay thing, but I personally prefer a great herb crouton. Lots of cocktails, wines and beers. Would like to see a couple signature desserts added to the menu. Pricing is on the higher end. read more

The staff was very helpful and friendly, the beer, cider and drink menu quite expansive. There were even some fun mocktails! The food was pretty tasty... I had the green salad with lemon vinaigrette and the lemon pepper bone in chicken wings. The wings were nicely cooked, hot and fresh and the salad ingredients as well. My son ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. We had to order fries on the side.... The fries were super good! Very crispy and hot. The sandwich was good, but the portion of chicken a bit small. Be prepared if you are considering this place... It is loud AF in here with the Juke box competing with the kitchen music. Be ready to yell. The service is spotty, and tonight, just plain rude. I really do give the benefit of the doubt, and have gotten lucky with service here, but tonight the night ended with the server saying "I don't want to work here anymore" as he threw a menu at the table in front of us very aggressively. All this maybe because we pointed out that we were overcharged for drinks? Maybe because they got my friends order wrong so we sent it back? Check your bill if you come here, our dinner companions shared they have pointed out before that the bill shows a higher charges than the menu for the drinks on the back page. I have tried this place many times and have consistently walked away thinking the same, the music is too loud. Overwhelmingly so. Tonight's rudeness outburst was just too much. Went over the weekend was highly unimpressed. The building and restaurant was clean and looked good. The staff very very underwhelming and lack of quality service. To be honest they were quite rude. Love us some Pub at the Creamery. It's a regular spot for our weekly date night. We each get a pizza, share the house salad and get a couple of their creative cocktails. My favorite vegetarian pizza is the Greek. The husband likes the classic pizza. My favorite thing about the house salad are the roasted garbanzo beans. Their cocktails are delicious and their ice is huge and clear just like we like em! You can also get the food to go which we did last night. Only for my burger to arrive with no special sauce. Totally dry. The other bartender argued with me about "needing to request sauce" despite the menu listing it as coming with "special sauce". When he went to go get the sauce, but then said the kitchen didn't know if they should add it because it wasn't vegan. I ordered cheese on my burger. I told him it's fine and he had to go back for the sauce but he returned with another sauce I didn't ask for. By the time he got back the burger is cold and was so bad the sauce couldn't save it. I'm from LA, I was just cruising through Arcata to visit a buddy. He brought me the The Pub to sample brews I've never had before. I was really just hungry and would be driving not long after, so I didn't try the brew sampler platters they got (which looked awesome), but I gave their standard burger a shot. And I was interested in the "Watermelon" beer they had, which happened to be clear hard seltzer. It was very good, and went great with my meal. What a damn good burger. The beef was exquisite and juicy. The bread made from scratch was delightful. The Swiss cheese was mouthwatering. The flavor of the red onions lingered in my mouth for hours, and complimented the fresh tomato very well. I enjoyed the fries, and I thought their ranch was exceptional. I asked about their ranch, but the staff wasn't sure if the ranch was special in any way, so I concluded it was the fries that just went really well with their ranch dressing. My buddy ordered the fried Buffalo chicken pizza, and I tried a slice. WHOOAAA SOOO GOOD. OMG. I'm sorry I didn't take photos of the food, or my Watermelon (Clarity) beer, but I was too busy eating it all without a pause. I could have savored my bites a little better, but I think I'll just come back and try again. And the service was FIVE STARS. Really friendly, hardworking professionals. All of them. I have been 4 times now on different days of the week and it was always slow but today (Friday) was incredibly slow- we waited a whopping 2 hours for our full order to come out (1 item at a time spread over a 90 minute period after ordering), my son's order never came at all and we took my order to go because it came right at the 2-hour mark when we couldn't take it anymore... my son cried on the way home because he was so frustrated and hangry despite my wife sharing her food with him. We went here when first arriving at arcata and really liked the vibe. Lots of great beers on tap and went extra step when I ordered a "hoppy ipa" to bring over 2 tasters first so I could pick. Food was good, I would go back, but not great. We loved the spinich dip w focaccia . They were out of the flatbread we wanted so we got cheese which was ok a bit too oily. The food was quite good, though they were very busy and it took a long time for it to come. My main issue was with the really muddy sounding jukebox that is the primary sound source for the whole restaurant. They sat our party right next to it, and it was so loud so that we had to spend the whole meal yelling in order to hear each other. Not a good esthetic choice. A sound system with speakers spread around the room, and music at a low volume would really help. read more

Since this week is BURGER WEEK, a friend and I decided that the PUB would be first on our list of competitors. Their special creation for the contest was a GYOZA BURGER. This was a soy sauce marinated ground pork, carrot and ginger patty topped with garlic aioli, sambal and sesame slaw on a housemade bun. Game over...we have a winner! Each year, I try to sample as many restaurants as possible during this burger contest. In all my sampling, no burger has ever come close to this. Mind blowing!
