    Fly was inside my coffee
    Wanda A.

I've been to this bakery a few times, the first time I had a very pleasant lady who was super nice to me but the last threes times, including today I had the same lady serve me. She always seems to have an attitude when I'm there, never smiles or even bother to look at me when I'm ordering. I don't know if is because of the color of my skin but to me it seems like it bother's her to serve me. Today I told myself that I will never return because of that lady, as I was driving away I open my coffee to let it cool off because and I find a dead fly swimming in my coffee. A coincidence, I don't know either way it's gross and I will never go back again!

Drove a whole 12 min because I was craving donuts. I went almost closing. I brought all 7 of the plum filling donuts that was left in the shelf. I came home to eat stale donuts. Disappointed!

Bread. Not flakey babka. Come on! Not good. Lazy.

The babka here is terrible! Will post a photo for you all to see...it is just a loaf bred with a little chocolate inside. No swirls. Not flakey. Not buttery. Compare my photo to every photo on google search. I made a surprise emergency stop when I saw the name because I love babka...it should have been a sign when I asked the lady who worked there if the Babka was amazing for its namesake. She said "sure." That was an overstatement. The apple turnover wasn't great either, but I would at least give that 3 stars. The aesthetic was very cute. That's the best I've got to say. BUT THE BABKA! It is called the babka shop! Go anywhere in south Williamsburg...just don't come here.

hands down, best donut in 20 years.....still warm... incredible

Very cute spot. I couldn't find anywhere to get a latte in Maspeth but then I stumbled across this place. It has really good coffee and they bake all of their pastries on site. I will be back here for sure.

This bakery has the most delicious bread and pastries. This is one of the best bakeries I've ever been in. I really recommend this place.

We came by the day before Mother's Day, so they had pre decorated Mother's Day cakes. You can also place an order. Service is quick and friendly. We initially planned on getting a Strawberry Shortcake, as that seemed to be the cake to get. However, we opted for the Cheesecake, because we were able to add fresh strawberries (and whipped cream) on top! I'm not a fan of whipped cream, so I avoided that, but everyone seemed to enjoy. It had a good creamy texture and was not too sweet. The strawberries were indeed fresh. The pound cake was soft and airy. The vanilla flavor comes through. I will have to try the Marbled version next time! Note: Cash Only! A regular customer ordered the tiramisu cake; said it was the best cake ever, so will have to try that next time!

A friend recommended it to me, and I've already ordered two birthday cakes from here. The tiramisu cake was absolutely delicious, honestly one of the best I've ever had. I didn't even know you could customize a tiramisu cake since it's usually served the traditional way, but they made it exactly how I wanted. As someone who loves tiramisu, this really stood out. I also ordered a strawberry shortcake, and it was just as impressive. The buttercream was so good , light, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Everyone loved it, and there wasn't a single slice left. The owner's son (I believe) was super helpful, he really takes the time to understand what you want and brings it to life perfectly. I've also tried their croissants, which are huge and delicious, and the hero bread is excellent too. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash.I'll definitely be ordering all my cakes from here moving forward!

But turn the menu over, and you'll find that they're probably the best Indonesian restaurant in Queens right now. The food is excellent and fresh, the service is friendly, and the place is clean and relaxing--a trifecta that is not easy to find. On our last visit, we tried the Smashed/Penyetan tofu and tempeh, which were perfectly prepared and seasoned. You know a chef knows what they're doing when the deep-fried dishes aren't at all greasy or oily. We also had the Indonesian/Malay classic Char Kwe Tiau, a rice-noodle dish, and their Hainan Chicken. We've also enjoyed their Seafood Gravy Noodle, which is much better than what you can find at Tastes Good; the Batagor--fried tofu and fish dumplings served with peanut sauce; and their excellent Gado Gado salad. Their chili sauces and kecap manis appear homemade and are top-notch. This place is a gem!
