    Fly was inside my coffee
    Wanda A.

I've been to this bakery a few times, the first time I had a very pleasant lady who was super nice to me but the last threes times, including today I had the same lady serve me. She always seems to have an attitude when I'm there, never smiles or even bother to look at me when I'm ordering. I don't know if is because of the color of my skin but to me it seems like it bother's her to serve me. Today I told myself that I will never return because of that lady, as I was driving away I open my coffee to let it cool off because and I find a dead fly swimming in my coffee. A coincidence, I don't know either way it's gross and I will never go back again!

Drove a whole 12 min because I was craving donuts. I went almost closing. I brought all 7 of the plum filling donuts that was left in the shelf. I came home to eat stale donuts. Disappointed!

Bread. Not flakey babka. Come on! Not good. Lazy.

The babka here is terrible! Will post a photo for you all to see...it is just a loaf bred with a little chocolate inside. No swirls. Not flakey. Not buttery. Compare my photo to every photo on google search. I made a surprise emergency stop when I saw the name because I love babka...it should have been a sign when I asked the lady who worked there if the Babka was amazing for its namesake. She said "sure." That was an overstatement. The apple turnover wasn't great either, but I would at least give that 3 stars. The aesthetic was very cute. That's the best I've got to say. BUT THE BABKA! It is called the babka shop! Go anywhere in south Williamsburg...just don't come here.

hands down, best donut in 20 years.....still warm... incredible

Very cute spot. I couldn't find anywhere to get a latte in Maspeth but then I stumbled across this place. It has really good coffee and they bake all of their pastries on site. I will be back here for sure.

This bakery has the most delicious bread and pastries. This is one of the best bakeries I've ever been in. I really recommend this place.

It's a seasonal special so make sure you stop by before it's gone! The chantilly complements the mango compote perfectly and without overdoing the sweetness. In fact, it wasn't too sweet, which is a huge compliment. If you're looking for decadence, the leche flan ni nola is great. Personally, it was the my favorite, but only because I think this made me realize I prefer leche flan as its own dish. Regardless, the quality of the flan was amazing. Had the perfect texture and caramelized taste. The drink--their seasonal matcha guava drink (the MSG)--was delicious. You definitely have to stir it as the guava at the bottom is a bit heavier than the other parts of the drink. But quality matcha and solid drink flavor profile. Felt very summery and fresh! I can't wait to go back another time!

The cold brew was refreshing but a little sweet. The ube donut had a strong ube flavor but wasn't particularly impressive in terms of texture, flavor profile, etc. The flan donut was quite a standout for me. Obviously very heavy but split 4 ways it wasn't too bad. Unique concept, excellent execution = a fun and exciting experience. The flavors on the strawberry calamansi donut were particularly good - the sourness and sweetness of each fruit played off each other nicely. The croissant was pretty standard but I enjoyed it because I love cheese. I think it definitely could have been more cheesy and more crispy but overall no complaints. I'd skip the ube donut next tjme and would probably reorder the flan or the strawberry calamansi. I'm interested in their breakfast sandwich and other savory items. Definitely worth a trip out to Queens if you're a pastry fan like me

The Boston cream had a rich, smooth filling with the perfect chocolate glaze, and the strawberry sprinkles donut was perfectly sweet and nostalgic. What makes this place special is that it's both affordable and consistently delicious! They have all the classic flavors but also some specialty donuts if you want to try something different. The old-school ambiance gives it a real Brooklyn charm, and it feels like stepping back in time. Just remember to bring cash because it's cash only; but it's absolutely worth it.

The shop has a retro vibe reminiscent of a 1950s diner, offering a wide range of pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast options, making it a beloved local fixture for over 60 years. During a visit to Greenpoint, Brooklyn, I decided to explore the local food scene. As I researched, this donut shop kept coming up as a top favorite among locals. My daughter and I stepped inside, and it was buzzing with activity. The place had a nostalgic feel, and it's a cash-only establishment. There are so many donuts to choose from, but my daughter went with a Red Velvet, while I opted for a Sugar Raise--a classic sugar donut because it was my first time here and I wanted something simple. The donuts were decent. The Sugar Raise wasn't extraordinary, but it was fresh. I gave my daughter's Red Velvet a try, but it didn't quite hit the mark; instead of a subtle cocoa-vanilla flavor, it was pretty heavy on the chocolate. The service was friendly, and I'm glad we took the chance to visit this longstanding bakery, which has been around for more than six decades.

It's colossally big and very, very easy to chew on without needing something hot and wet like coffee or tea. But I do think it would be better with a drink. What I've also noticed is that they really prioritize the decorations on the donuts, and I think that also brings out their peak service. I was served during the Governors Ball where there were a lot of people and a lot of vendors. They handled their service very well. I couldn't tell you the exact location of the place because it was a vendor, but I assume it's probably somewhere I would conveniently go to. I definitely wanna go to the Brooklyn location.

DO NOT GET THE CUPCAKES, it taste like the supermarket cupcakes from stop and shop, walmart, or shop rite. It tastes like hint of cleaning supply, fake sweetness gritty textured icing. Try the cannoli, though the casing doesnt look like it's homemade. Apparently their filling is and they fill it per order which helps retain the crunch of the casing. We have tried a few cakes: strawberry shorcake, oreo cake, and chocolate mousse cake which is not bad for its price.
