Inconsistent quality. Most of the times they keep stale food. Fresh pastries are pretty good though.

The second location in New York is 27-51 Jackson Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101. My first NaiSnow experience was at the Long Island City location. I walked in and ordered the Matcha Latte Boba, Caramel Egg Tart, Matcha Tiramisu Tart, Coffee Tiramisu Tart at the counter. It didn't take long for the order to be ready and it was all packed in an insulated bag. Inside, there are a few tables and countertop seats. The caramel egg tart is filled with custard core and a caramel aroma, the coffee tiramisu tart has a sponge cake soaked in coffee and layered with cream on a crisp and buttery tart, and the matcha tiramisu tart is made with premium Jingshan matcha powder fully infused into the cake base and layered with smooth cream cheese filling. The tarts are golden and have crispy layers. It just melts in your mouth. They are also a good size. The matcha latte boba was also very good. NaiSnow is definitely worth checking out!

This is exactly what I got on my first visit. It didn't disappoint. The custard was so rich and creamy - the best egg tart I've ever had. And the crust was flaky and buttery. I'm sure I'll try other baking items or drinks if I come back to this area.

There's usually a line of some length during peak hours and especially around the holidays. You can tell by the sheer volume of baked goods and cakes available in their window displays that they sell a lot daily. This location is on the main drag of the little downtown section of Forest Hills, the baked goods in the front window display connect to a tall and long glass counter along the left side of the store that extends almost to the back. At the back middle and along the right side of the wall there's seating for about two dozen people at small cafe tables. They carry an assortment of traditional cakes (full and sliced), pies, cookies, pastries, cheesecakes, cupcakes, ice cream and coffee/tea drinks. A wide variety of flavors in each, so you're bound to find something sweet to satisfy most here. They are a classic bakery so from what I can tell, they don't carry items that are gluten, dairy or nut free. I've purchased their apple pie, fruit tart, berry napoleon, red velvet and chocolate fudge cakes from this or other locations in the past and they're all solid choices for desserts to share with a larger group, though I find a lot of their cake options to be on the richer side. My most recent encounter with their cakes came in the form of a slice of their seven layer cake $9.95 which is thin layers of yellow cake alternating with chocolate cream mmm pretty tasty, and their caramel cake $9.95 which had a layer of chocolate cake in the middle, sandwiched by caramel cream and white cake on either side. The latter had a pronounced caramel flavor that was enjoyable though a bit too much cream for me. My preference would be for their chocolate cakes over other cake flavors here. Their apple pie is one of my favorite apple pies anywhere tho!

It's absolutely amazing, and the filling is very generous--it feels like heaven in every bite. Another favorite of mine is the chocolate layer cake: rich, velvety smooth chocolate that isn't overly sweet. The only thing I don't agree with is that they do not clearly tell customers that dining in adds an extra $1 charge to each item. Yes, check your receipt. I'm expected to tip my waitstaff and also pay an extra dollar per item just because I chose to dine in. For example, the cupcake is usually $4.75 to go, but they charged me an extra $1 for dining in. Their cake slices are usually $9.50 to go, but I was charged $10.50. I also tipped 20%, so the added charge felt frustrating, especially since there was no clear notice. When I asked the waitstaff about the $1 charge, she said it was entered that way because I dined in. When I later called about it, the manager simply said, "Next time, just order to go if you don't want to be charged extra." That response was disappointing, especially since there was no visible sign explaining this policy, and their dine-in menu does not show separate pricing. I really think management should fix this to avoid misleading customers. Transparency matters. Don't get me wrong--I would still come back because their cakes are amazing, but from now on, I'll always order everything to go.

I ordered the strawberry tart, lemon tart and pistachio Mille fille. I really appreciated the packaging and the takeout bag, which made it seem very high end. It was slightly disorganized but I think it was mostly due to the amount of customers they had that day.

It's relaxed and easy-going, ideal for grabbing a coffee while you're out and about. Food: Their baked goods are the real star here--freshly baked onsite with a professional touch. The flavors are unique, making it a fun stop for something different. While the selection is on the smaller side, each item seems thoughtfully crafted. A few more savory options would be a welcome addition, though! Service: The service is quick and efficient. There's usually just one person behind the counter, but they handle things smoothly and get your order ready in no time. No long waits, which is great for a quick bite. Suggestions: A couple of high chairs would be a nice touch for families with little ones! Also, a few more savory items on the menu would be fantastic to round out the offerings. Overall: Overall, Somedays is a solid go-to for a quick coffee and pastry. It's a pleasant, no-fuss spot with delicious treats, and I'm excited to see what they add next. This corner store in Astoria is one I have been passing by regularly over the last few months, and it has good service and some nice outdoor seating. So far, my favorite item has been the Pistachio Lattice, which is super crunchy on the surface while the nutty sweetness shines through on each bite. Another one I really enjoy is the Blueberry Cardamom Escargo, which has absolutely delicious cream cheese frosting mixed with wild blueberry jam and that nice hint of cardamom. Very moist. The Chocolate Chunk Cookie is pretty good too. Plenty of chocolate chunks with a hit of salt. However, their popular Pain Au Chocolate is not the best I have had. There is just not enough chocolate in each bite. Prices are not cheap, but the pastries are mostly very large in size, so you somewhat do get what you pay for. I don't eat baked goods too often, so it's not that bad in my mind. Service has been solid too.

I could've gone with a little less frosting and more cake, but it made for a very aesthetically pleasing topping with the vibrant colors, sprinkles, and glitter.
