This is one of the new locations in Elmhurst just right by the Grand Avenue New train station. I was appalled and excited about this location since I'm a regular with the matcha and whole milk loaf bread. They are really soft and fresh every time I purchase them. What really caught my eye was the ham, American cheese on a croissant bread that they carry. There was a hint of spice that got my attention. Didn't know it was spicy until I bit into it. Really tasty and loved how the cheese melted in my mouth with the ham. Going to get more of these! There are many chairs and tables in this location and bright lights so it's a good place to catch up for coffee and pastries! Bathrooms are available here. Very quiet ambience. read more

Been here numerous times. First time sign posted they were doing maintenance, so they were closed for couple of days. Second and Third time came in afternoon and most of the breads were sold out. Fourth visit came early in the morning and was able to get the Chestnut bread. Lots of chestnut chunks in the middle. They were all out of the Matcha Roll cake. Place seemed empty with not a lot people on line buying stuff but lots of people lounging on chairs and tables. Staff were not the friendliest peeps. One guy did not want to tend to the customer and just stood there looking at his counter parts. My 1st visit is so disappointing. I stopped by this evening at 7pm and was shocked at the empty shelves. They are closing for two days for "maintenance." I live in the neighborhood and waited over a year for them to open and now after opening for two weeks they have to close for maintenance. The only thing I can ready get is a drink BUT they mixed it so sweet it was undrinkable. I asked them for a new one but the manger said NO. Well, I'm no fan of your store. read more

Welcome to the Elmhurst neighborhood TOUS les JOURS! I no longer have to travel to Flushing to get my lavander latte! This is a chain and they offer the same baked breads, cakes, and other sweets as the other locations. It's only their second day of operation and happy to see that service is quick despite the long line of eager customers. Too bad I missed out on the free tumblers - the first 120 customers got it yesterday. This is a busy place so I'm not surprised it went by quick. They still have the free mugs if you spent $30 but I'm not to keen on adding another mug in our cupboard. I ordered a hot lavander latte (in this heat wave - don't judge!) and a slice of matcha cream cake. I don't remember if this cake flavor is new but it's definitely new to me LOL. It's a light, airy cake with hints of green tea flavor. I wouldn't say its a good match to my lavender latte (the flavor notes are clashing) but they both are winners in flavor (just don't eat together like I did). read more

3.5 Went at 5pm on our 2nd visit and not much to choose from again. Had the choc and vanilla doughnuts - liked the fillings, the choc more; didn't need the sugar coating. On our 3rd visit, went at 3 pm and although some shelves were empty, there was still a variety of sweet pastries left, not much savory. I will still only go there around this time of day, instead of the evening hours. Had the apricot one - with some whipped cream and jam filling, was good. Can taste the ube flavor in the ube latte - I asked for less sweet so 3 ube syrup pumps, instead of 4. They give iced water if you ask. Tables were mostly occupied, with a few people working on their laptops, but didn't wait long for seats. Service varied from friendly to serious-looking. Restroom available. read more

Came here for a last minute cake for a birthday and was so surprised with there selection at 8:00pm usually places only have like two left and it's the ones people never want but this place was fully stocked !! They have so much seating too. Prices were average of $35-50 for a whole cake which isn't too bad compared to other cake spots and the flavors were very unique and all looked delicious almost makes it so hard to decide which to grab. All the cakes look beautiful too and they even have candles and cake banners so you don't need to go anywhere else. They have a great selection of macaroons too I tried a few and all were yummy. Overall I got to try different cake slices and all were tasty light airy and did not disappoint. 10/10 read more

Came after work to grab a quick snack at around 6PM on a Monday. A short line and plenty of seating available. Not terribly expensive for a quick bite, would come again! Tried the hot dog bun and honestly it was pretty good. Throw it in an air fryer for a little to add some warmth and crisp back to it and I might have given it a five star. Since it was on the colder side, the dog didn't really feel as filling. The lukewarm bun had a light layer of sweetness and a bit soft to bite into. read more

If I was just rating their marscapone milk bread, that would be 5 stars on taste and texture. Their premade roll cakes are highly processed and honestly don't taste very good. This place is great, especially because of Kevin. He was born on a rainy fall night in Kennebunkport, Maine, and ever since then, he's wanted to be a barista. Beans, coffee, croissants, that's Kevin's passion. Kevin's life. The attention to detail on the vanilla latte - as if he went to Madagascar and harvested the vanilla beans himself and milked the cow on the way home. And don't get me started on the croissant... Today I went excited to get my matcha latte that I always get but unfortunately they gave me this! Mind you no one told me that they didn't have any matcha if that was the case and when she came with my order I asked her if she was sure this was a matcha latte and she said "yes it is". Rude and arrogant. This one girl Hispanic looking with glasses gave a horrible experience. No good customer service. As a first time customer here I described the cake I wanted and there was a line so I couldn't see well since there were people around. she says she Doesn't know the name of the cakes and can't help us. I was really excited about the new addition of a Tous Les Jours to the area but I've come in on 3-4 separate occasions only to leave disappointed. Each time I've stopped in during the afternoon on random days of the week, the shelves are empty with no pastries left, which is a bit baffling because the whole point of going to a bakery is for its baked goods. Another thing is that dad and I came in recently to purchase a birthday cake. While there were multiple staff behind the counter, no one actively came over to assist us. My dad had to peer over the counter to flag someone down. It also looked like the customer in front of us who was trying to check out a bag of bread also had to wait some time before someone to ring her up. After I chose a cake, my dad asked one of the cashiers behind the counter if they could write "Happy Birthday" on it, but she annoyedly and abruptly said that TLJ doesn't provide any writing service for cakes. This was strange to me, as other bakery chains I've been to like Paris Baguette easily provide it and at times when they couldn't write it on the cake itself, they could at least write it on the cakeboard. After checking out and getting home, we realized that they didn't provide any disposable plates, napkins, or utensils for the cake either. The whole transaction doesn't feel very thoughtful nor considerate compared to experiences I've had in the past. It seems like all the good reviews for this location were all from around the time of its grand opening event, but service seems to have fell off since then. Maybe the business still needs to get settled in, but especially for a place that's just opened, it's really disappointing that the business can't meet the customer demand and doesn't provide a welcoming nor hospitable environment. read more

Horrible service on multiple occasions. One time I ordered a latte and they gave me a caramel macchiato.. I told her I asked for a latte and she asked her coworker who took my order and she basically lied and said I told her caramel macchiato. Mind you, I didn't even know they had caramel macchiato. The girl redid my drink but it kinda rubbed me the wrong way. No apologizes, both stared at me like I was crazy. Other times it was just workers who clearly looked like they didn't want to be there. They're all extremely rude and you also have to stare at them for them to come take your order. Anyways the food is not good in this location. I've tried the one in flushing and it's way better. I don't understand how this location can ruin croissants. But multiple times their croissants are soggy and just not good. They might as well call them crescents. Their feta spinach pastry is good tho so I guess that's that.. All in all, for the price I wouldn't recommend. There are cheaper alternatives in this neighborhood. read more

This place had a grand opening not too long ago. I was shocked as I passed by this store, as it was always closed and it was TBD. But finally my friend told me that they opened up for business. I had to go to check out the new place. Everything was brand new and modern, which was nice and it was very large. There's plenty of seating indoors, which is very nice, but people shouldn't be hoarding tables if you're just hanging out. By the time I checked out the place, they ran out of a lot of items. Possibly since it was past lunchtime. Unless they restocked every so often, but that didn't seem to be the case while I was there. Overall, the bakery needs to work through their kinks, such as managing their drink orders. It just took a while, but if the staff was more orderly and not all over the place, it would be better. Let's see how it does as the year goes on as there was a lot of people since whenever there's a brand new store people all swarm and then when curiosity goes away the people do as well. read more

I didn't went on the first day, the line is too long and I heard someone said they gave out Cup for the first 150 customer if purchase more than $30.
