It lasted around 5 hours. They took us snorkeling(optional) after the island. Midway through the sandwiches were 10/10 maybe because of slight intoxication I guess we'll never know, but anyways overall experience was great and would recommend. You can see bigger boats but genuinely you don't get to see and talk to everyone it's a more personal connection on this boat.

As boat rides were expected, it was a rocky ride to the island. The Captain instructed us to remain seated while the boat is in motion to avoid injuries. As instructed, I was seated during the entire boat ride. Above me was a large speaker and during the boat right the speaker fell landing on my head and shoulder. Due to this incident, I no longer was able to enjoy the experience or amenities the tour provided. I no longer drank alcohol because my head continue to hurt more with drinking and overtime my shoulder began to hurt more. This accident was not a life threatening situation, which is why I didn't request to be taken back to the mainland and go to the Hospital. Due to this situation, I didn't get off the boat or continue to drink the alcoholic beverages provided. I attempted to get a full refund of my personal ticket, however; was unsuccessful. I reported the incident to the Captain and an incident report was taken. The Captain instructed me to speak to the owner and provided her number. I spoke with her over the phone and explained the incident 2 days after, in which she stated she was aware. I kindly requested a refund due to it being negligent on their end for not properly placing and fastening such a large speaker over their clients heads. The woman was very defensive and stated that "if I felt that bad, I should've went to the Hospital and requested a ferry back to the mainland". I then explained to her, not all injuries require a hospital visit and if she's questioning the accident, to ask her crew and pictures that were taken on the boat prior to me getting off. The Captain took pictures and felt the lump on my head. I then told her that I just couldn't enjoy the experience so I no longer drank the alcoholic drinks and didn't get off the boat when we arrived at the island. She stated to me "just because you didn't get off the boat doesn't mean you were feeling bad, many people don't get off boat". I then tell her the fact of the matter is the accident happened, her crew witnessed it, there are visible injuries that will leave a scar, and thank God I didn't get a concussion, all I'm requesting for is a full refund of one ticket (mine) because it was very negligent from her company. She stated that she will give me a call back. It is April 9th, 2026, and I have yet to receive a call or email from this company. Honestly, if it wasn't for this accident, I would've definitely loved and enjoyed this tour. Unfortunately, I just personally had this experience and wanted to share how incidents will be handled if you decide to book with them.

I accidentally overpaid by $200 when sending the balance (sent the deposit twice via Wise). I emailed Ellen the same day with a payment link to make the refund easy. She had been incredibly responsive leading up to the trip, but once it was over, I never heard back. I followed up multiple times over two weeks and got nothing. Would have been a 5-star review if they had just handled the refund. The tour was that good. But going silent on a customer who's owed money isn't okay.

I don't leave bad reviews but when I feel I was duped out of nearly $1200 your damn right you will hear from me! It's not even the money - I specifically asked about fishing for my son as that was the whole point! So now his day was ruined - which I may add he had been looking forward to for months! So yes, 5 days before our charter plans changed due to the other half of our party canceling their vacation. So, to stay honest with the company and try to do the right thing I informed Ellen what the situation was and that I could not pay $1700 extra on top of our $500 deposit. I told her we wanted fishing for my son which was the most important aspect of the trip. After back and forth for a bit she agreed we would have everything we originally planned but cut time to 4 hours- fishing she said could only be catch and release but for an extra $100 she would add more gas and bait for fishing! Well, that was not done- there was zero bait and zero extra gas used to go anywhere for fishing! I even called her per the captain's recommendation- funny how her story changed at that point! She said the bait would come from the captain catching fish and using that as bait... nope captain couldn't do it! I said where's the extra $100 on "gas" hmmm still waiting on that. Trust me if I wanted to take my kids to a "party island" and sit idle in the water for 3 hrs and use a dinky hook to catch baby fish I could have done that for way less than $1200! When I called her out on it I of course got the run around and blaming me for trying to hurt a small business! Lady, I love small business - I come from a family of business owners, but this is Not the way you run a business or treat customers. The best part I booked a separate fishing trip but was trying to do right by the company so they did not take a total loss- the other company gladly gave my deposit back! Again, I should have cancelled completely with island reef tours! Heed the warning- the boat was subpar, the service was not anything to gloat about and she promised many things that were not delivered! Don't worry I have texts about our conversations- she will only show the ones she claims is what she promised. What a joke!

I fully understand and respect that the vessel has a no-smoking and no-vaping policy. I complied. However, the manner in which the policy was communicated was unnecessarily rude and confrontational. Professional leadership sets the tone onboard, and unfortunately that tone created an uncomfortable atmosphere from the start. At one point, I was also threatened by a crew member, which was completely disproportionate to the situation. That escalation appeared to stem from poor leadership and communication from the captain. The most disappointing moment occurred as I was disembarking the vessel when the captain said, "Can you walk straight?" implying that I was intoxicated or unstable. This comment was especially inappropriate given that I have visible scarring on my femur from a serious injury. I worked very hard to recover from that injury, and being mocked in that manner was unprofessional and disrespectful. I have always respected crew authority and vessel policies on prior charters. Rules are understandable. Disrespect and intimidation are not. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures future guests are treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.

They gave us instructions for snorkeling, and helped everyone to securely fasten their gear. We stopped at three spots for snorkeling. The first one were very close to Icacos Island, which was deliberately in a shallow area, so first time snorkelers like me can get some practice before going into deeper waters. The other two spots we stopped were in the middle of the ocean, among the reefs and vast expanse of the Caribbean Sea. Herbert, an experienced diver that guided our tour, dove down and flipped lots of rocks and caught little star fish, urchins, shrimps, crabs and other interesting creatures for us to see. It was amazing, and something I couldn't have done if I were on my own. Snorkeling is such an easy sport, even though I've only swan in water parks before, I find it easy to swim the sea with no problem. Lunch was prepared by them, with cold cuts, cheese and sandwich bread. I'm not a fan of these type of food, but I didn't expect hand pulled noodles in the middle of the sea either. Food was not the point of this trip anyway. If you don't like these food, you can always bring snacks and just put them in the cabin downstairs. In the end, we sailed by this small piece of land and saw iguanas climbing up the trees. It was really nice. I learned about this tour rather late, so I didn't meet the book online window (at least 12 hours ahead), had to call in and make reservation. I would recommend everyone taking advantage of their online booking system, it is real-time and you get $10 off.

We arrived on time and we were warmly greeted by the captain and 2 crew. After a basic safety briefing we charted out towards Culebra in overcast weather. Instead of Culebra we settled on the uninhabited beach of Caya Luis Pena before Culebra with crystal clear waters in about 20 minutes. The waters were translucent clear turquoise and beach sand was pristine. Water temp was around 79-80F. Weather was overcast and comfortably cool. They laid out a simple light sandwich buffet for lunch with beers and tropical cocktails. Snorkeling, swimming and relaxing for a few hours, we spotted small schools of fish and a very cool bachelor Stingray circling looking for scraps. Crew was incredibly friendly and helpful and everyone enjoyed the short beach visit. The return trip was much smoother and after jumping back on the bus we were able to stop by a bbq joint for coconuts and fried stuffed empanadas.

Captain Juan and Perla provided everything we needed--drinks, snacks, lunch... and their deep knowledge of the area was unmatched. The fishing was fun for everyone and Juan used his vast knowledge of the local waters to help our teenagers catch some amazing fish (which we later ate for dinner). Juan was more than a knowledgeable host... from him we learned about the history and the culture of PR, AND got some amazing tips on where to eat throughout the rest of our stay. I recommend wearing water shoes as you'll have to walk through thigh deep water to get to the kayak. You want to plan your trip as close to a new moon as possible as you want to eliminate as much light as possible to really see the glow. Annoyingly there is a neighborhood above the lagoon with bright spotlights but facing the water way and lingering near the other side of the lagoon the bioluminescence is still very visible and a total blast. The guides even brought us a tiny jellyfish to observe and see how it glowed as it wiggled in our hands. I wouldn't even bother bringing your phone, I highly doubt you'd be able to capture the glow while holding still enough in a kayak. Navigating the mangroves was tricky because the guides blue lights were just bright enough the destroy our night vision and not see the low hanging branches. I would hope in the future that the guides would switch to red lights to make navigating in the low light easier.
