I've moved to OKC last year and my purchase from Gymboree have severely deteriorated because of this branch at Penn Square Mall. All (better to say most) of the employees here are thoroughly rude and not friendly. The most rude is the manager kind of white male from whom I've never received any kind of salesmanship. They don't even know what do they have or not. It had happened to me several times. Today I asked for bigger age range of a jacket, told him I have seen it online, he said that now everything is different. Just because they have 'T' sizes for younger kids do not necessarily mean they have the same kind for older kids. And online might have different stuff. Just upon leaving after finishing my $170 purchase, I saw that very jacket at the front table! When I took it to him to show that they have it, he just denied with a straight face that they were not the same!! I don't know what to say, it was closing time and I wish I could say few more things to him since I've have had this kinda experience with him before

This incident is a perfect example of why this company is not what it use to be! This assistant manager was beyond rude to me even told me to quit talking to my 3 foster daughters who I was whispering to!! I told them that customer service is tanking this company in a very quiet whisper. She told me if I said one more thing she will ask me to leave and I won't be buying anything from her. I was shocked about the new policy change that we can not use the same coupon at different stores as long as it's the same day as most of the time I have to get one thing at one store and the match at the other but I was not rude to her just said Wow that surprises me they would change that. Then I got another coupon texted to me by my husband who was at home (2 hours away) and I gave it to her that's when she said she will no longer take a coupon via my phone because she has to be the one to rip it up and throw it away!! This is total BS because these days most people will take a picture of their coupons and keep them in their phones so we don't lose them. Maybe if Gymboree got an app like Kohl's where coupons can be stored it would alleviate this issue! I was about to spend over 700.00 on our foster kids and decided to walk away from it all! That store does not deserve my hard earned money! When I go home to the Chicago area I have the best customer service especially at Orland Square. After this incident today it will be awhile before I will shop back with Gymboree. Managers such as the one at Penn Square need to be retrained on how to treat their customers. She should have minded her own business when I was whispering to my 3 teenage foster daughters using what was going as an example of how not to treat your customers because in the end it is them who keeps you employed!! I have a 500.00 order coming in through an online purchase that you better believe I will be returning to this store as soon as it gets to my house!

They carry great brands such as Ralph Lauren, Tea, Kickkee pants to OU and OSU attire. They are on the pricey side but they always have a great sale rack right outside their door and sale in the back. They have a decent selection of shoes also. Depending on who is working I almost feel as if I'm being followed sometimes.. which I just prefer to be left alone. If you aren't shopping for clothes they also have super cute accessories such as rattles, bows, purses, etc.

I didn't find anything I wanted and the sale wasn't extensive enough compared to what I was looking for, but I still liked it more than most Old Navy stores, as did Barbie.

Retail is alive and well in locally-owned shops where people still care about the small business owners they are working for, and the customers they serve. When I go to a store like Blue Seven, I'm greeted, asked if I need help, shown to a dressing room. At the very least, they manage to *acknowledge* my very existence. I ran into Gap at Penn the other day when I realized I haven't bought a new pair of jeans since I had my first baby over three years ago. I knew what size I wanted, and what style, but it would have been nice if anyone had spoken to me at any point. I was in the store for about 20 minutes. I was clearly searching for a size I could not find, then finding a dressing room. Almost every dressing room had a bunch of stuff in it, but I was able to find one that was open that I felt like I could use. No one ever wandered back there as far as I could tell. I walked back out to try again to find a size. Still no help, no hello, no greeting or offer of assistance. There was a huge stack of cardboard boxes waiting to be broken down and taken out in the hallway leading to the dressing rooms, and it was just generally full of dust-bunnies and way too much stuff.

But I've also enjoyed shopping here as a customer, but almost exclusively for gifts - wedding, hostess, and special birthday gifts. From a wonderful selection of beautiful dishes and linens, to all manner of candles and home decor, this is my go-to stop when I know I need to take a gift but I have no idea what to take! I know that sounds nebulous, but it's true! Bookmark this as a go-to gift store. When in doubt, On A Whim. I've never really shopped their clothing, but perhaps that is because I always come here when I'm looking for something special for other people!
