Honestly I've not had the best experience here. Came here twice. The staff is always a bit snotty/standoffish. I once had the door girl literally put her hand out in front of me to get my attention, instead of just speaking. No sitting room in the back room, so only go if you are really into the band and willing to stand/dance the night away...I guess they do well because there aren't that many venues for live music this side of the bridge...I'd say: baby's "aiiight", but really not that great. read more

This is a 1.5 not a true 1... I love this place. I truly do. The layout, the different zones letting you chillout, vibe, or dance. Not too expensive, the food was good, and everyone seems to be there to have a good time. But when you're booking club acts... sound system is a huge factor to me. Right now they're booking club acts on one of the worst soundsystems in Brooklyn. Upgrade yo speakers! Spend some bank! Or get your parties to reinforce their own sound cause I've seen too many shows with wack sound now. for this venue to be worth the price of admission as a club. For indie bands and smaller acts, it's great. But don't come here expecting what you can get at even the most basic of warehouse parties nowadays in terms of sound quality... read more

I had my birthday party here and they were very accommodating! I made a reservation for a section in the restaurant section which was a touch more private. The manager gave me/snuck me some drink tickets because he wanted my friends to have a good time. Which was AWESOME. It was packed in there and the bartenders were fast. They seem like they genuinely want everyone to have a good time. The waitress that was checking on us was super sweet. My friends had a great time and they were impressed that I had it at "Baby's". read more

Great venue. Have seen some of the best shows here. It's pretty spacious with tables right when you walk in and a bar outside of the stage area. There's another bar to the right when you walk in with seating area. The times I've been there, there's been a DJ mixing in the front. I haven't had the food there but they have some decent happy hours with $1 taco and $3 pink babys (never tried). I highly recommend seeing live shows here. read more

Please note that this is strictly about the service for brunch as I wasn't able to experience the food. On a whim, my friend and I decided to have brunch here over the weekend. I was eager to try the food due to the great reviews... and we were hungry. When we walked in, we were a bit overwhelmed by the loud music and the loud chatter of patrons that were drinking (not eating). I'm not sure how anyone can hold a conversation at this place without losing their voice at the end of brunch. We waited near a waitress station for over five minutes to which waitresses noticed us but did not approach us. Finally, a waitress approached us on her way to another table to let us know that someone would be with us shortly. We noticed that no one had food on their table and waitresses were busy running around refilling drinks. We lingered around for another five minutes before deciding that we were too hungry to wait anymore and who knows how long food would take to get out of the kitchen. If the wait was going to be terribly long, I would've appreciated a waitress telling us what the estimated wait would be so at least we could decide to stay or go instead of having us wait for so long. read more

I come to find out I was asked to leave because someone in "management" wanted to talk to my girlfriend and I was forced by security to leave. I came here for Kimbra's "Space Jam" an experimental show. I walked downstairs to where the performance was taking place and it was small but the perfect size for this event. The acoustics and visuals were spot on. I didn't have any drinks, but the bar upstairs was really modern looking and had a lot of drink options. Would come back again to have some drinks and enjoy the bar upstairs. read more

One of the best venues in Brooklyn. That being said, do not eat here. I sent my drink back 3 times because there was lipstick on it.. how do you make that mistake 3 times? I wish I knew about this spot earlier! I came here this past Monday night to see Thirdstory live in concert and I was under the impression that this was simply a bar with a room for bands to play in but boy, was I off! It does have a bar and a room where bands and acts can perform in but it is also is a restaurant! Since my bf and I arrived to the show super early and our stomachs were both mutually growling, we decided to see what was in the other side of the steel door in the concert room. And lo and behold! There were tables and seats and lovely decor nestled next to the bar area where patrons were engaging in conversation over plates of food! Amen, hallelujah! Because it was way too cold to go outside and try to Yelp nearby places to grab a bite to eat, haha. We were seated promptly and the waitress brought over two menus with a smile. The menu options were interesting (in a good way) but we both ordered something light as we didn't want to blow the other concert goers away with potential flatulence! My bf ordered the nachos but customized it as a vegetarian version and I ordered a side of French Fries. The food arrived fairly quickly. The portions were decent sized. The fries, steak fries, were cooked to perfection. Crispy, just like I enjoy it. The nachos were tasty and my bf enjoyed them throughly. The concert venue is nice. The room has really great acoustics. Although there were a few moments during Thirdstory's set where the audio went out, the venue was quick to repair the problem or else they would've had a really rowdy crowd on their hands! If another act I like performs here, I would definitely consider going to see them as the venue is both small and intimate. Those are the best kinds of shows! the venue itself is super cute and nice. v chill and good vibes. wasn't packed. i went to go see eyedress last night and the bouncer and the dude checking people in were super nice and helpful. this is the only reason why i'm not giving it 1 star. HOWEVER... i went to go buy a drink at the venue in the back before the show and i asked the bartender, alex, if there was a card minimum and he said "2 drinks minimum on credit cards." i said "cool" and proceeded to give my debit card because i really just wanted ONE beer. when i gave him the card i asked him to close it and he repeated "2 drinks minimum.". i said "you said credit cards not debit cards" and proceed to argue with me and said "you want to argue semantics? it's all the same thing." and PROCEEDS TO IGNORE ME and get the next customers order. no dude, get your shit together. it's not the same. and don't be rude to me because you misspoke. it's ok if you were wrong, it happens to everyone. just apologize and move on. don't give me attitude ALEX. oh: and also, the sound was shit but eyedress killed it and really gave a good performance despite all the sound issues. read more

$1 Tacos from 5 PM - 8 PM daily: need I say more? Place has great chill vibes. We came for happy hour & dinner prior to seeing a show. We ate al pastor tacos, vegan tacos & baked mac & cheese - everything was delicious. Plenty of tables & seating as well if you want to roll deep with a crew. Plenty of bar space - 3 different bar areas to go to. Gotta try the Pink Baby - be warned it's SUPER tart but yummy. Enough space to get your groove on on the dance floor as well. The shows are held in the back of the venue & the acoustics are quite good. Good sound quality. As well as good sound proofing if you didn't want to hear the band while having a drink at the bar on the other side you can't hear it. No sound interference. The waitress was attentive. When I came here for a concert I wasn't expecting a lovely little restaurant in the bargain. As a concert venue this was pretty sweet; the wall of glowing lights behind the band were mesmerizing, the sound system was great, and though it got pretty packed by the second band of the four-band set I was seeing, people weren't pushy at all. It was just a good atmosphere in there. The bathroom downstairs was a little sketch, though. The restaurant, though... We'd already had dinner but there was some time to kill before the show started (late), and so we had some parsnip soup and the kale-and-barley Nordic Salad. Both were... exquisite? We were floored to have this sort of dining option at a music spot. If the music on the bill isn't your thing, check out the restaurant... but beware, the place filled up fast. read more

Went to bottomless brunch here. $30 prefix unlimited mimosas, screwdrivers, greyhounds, and blood marys with a DIY fixings bar, but that was just the bonus. I normally down write reviews, but my food was AMAZING!!! I had the chorizo with spicy eggs and I cleaned my plate...something I don't normally do. I even ate the garnish. The brussel sprout dish is amazing and the serving is large enough to share. There sweet potato fries with truffle aioli are just so good!

What a bizarre space this is! It's part tiki bar, part concert venue and part restaurant. I wasn't sure what to make of it, even after looking around. But, it's all in good fun and I had a great experience during my visit. Their theme might be a little confusing, but there's no confusion when it comes to knocking out some delicious cuisine and killer cocktails. read more

Expensive everything with a disgusting bathroom that was even colder than the dining room. The concert venue is fine. Bad Dj blasting music so that the waitress couldn't hear us. Went here yesterday--4/13-- (for the first time) for my friend's birthday brunch and had such a HORRIBLE experience, that we didn't even stay to eat, due to wait times, but mostly due to an extraordinarily rude staff member (details below). Waiting times: We get there around 1:20, were a party of 5, and didn't have a reso for some reason, so they tell us to come back in an hour. Fine! We leave and come back right on time. Then, we're told it's going to be another 20 minute wait. No problem! My friend really wanted to come here for his birthday, so we hang by the bar and get some drinks. Finally, the host seats us, and THEN he tells us no one will come to take our food order for 20 MORE minutes because they're trying to run food for larger parties. There was no real apology, and he obviously didn't seem to care about our inconvenience (this would become exceedingly clear later--read on). At this point, it's almost 3 PM and we're very hungry, and couldn't believe we'd need o wait 20 mins to even order, especially considering it would take an additional 20-40 mins to get our food. So, at this point, it would be more than an additional hour until we were actually able to eat. Waitstaff: Due to all the extra waiting, my friend (whose birthday it was) wants to know if we can be given some courtesy doughnuts ($8) for the inconvenience--it's now 3 PM and we were very hungry. So, I politely ask the host if "it would be possible" and instead of just saying "no," or, better yet, going to his manager to actually ask, this man completely loses it on me immediately. He raises his voice at me and gets the BIGGEST attitude saying "it's only 20 minutes, it's not that big of a deal!" I calmly explain to him why we're asking (literally with a smile on my face trying to diffuse the situation--also it's kind of ridiculous/funny that he's getting this worked up over some $8 doughnuts, as though it comes out of his paycheck), and that it seemed like he didn't care when he told us the wait on ordering. He continues to chew me out claiming he said "sorry, but the wait would be 20 mins to order food" (which he didn't, and also, "sorry, but" is not an apology). When I point out that he was "being really rude right now" he shoots back "no, you're being rude! That is offensive that you would even ask that, and if you want to walk out, you can!" and storms away. I have NEVER been spoken to that way at any restaurant I've ever been to in my life (and I go to a lot of them). I was very glad that my friends were also at the table to see how this happened, because his reaction was so inexplicably extreme, it sounds like an exaggeration. My friends and I were so turned off by his little outburst, that my friend decided this was not where he wanted to be for his birthday brunch, and also we were all afraid the host would spit in any food/drinks we did order. What sucks for the restaurant is that man just cost them the hundreds of dollars we were prepared to spend on food and drinks as a party of 5 for my friends birthday brunch, and so we went across the street instead where we had an excellent brunch with speedy and friendly service. I will also say, after the host's outburst, I did tell the brunch manager, who was very empathetic, and did say she would speak to the host, and offered to bring out to complimentary doughnuts we requested, and ultimately gave us a round of shots instead, and I did appreciate her, but unfortunately, it was too little to late. Looking for a place to have a birthday brunch for a group of 20 at a reasonable price was not an easy task. That's when I came across Baby's All Right. My overall experience was excellent. They were very accommodating through the planning process. Even with a large group every one gets to pick their own individual dishes plus bottomless drinks for only $35 per person (less than 50 with tax and tip). The atmosphere was fun, the food was great, the drinks were tasty and they definitely did not skimp out on the alcohol. It's safe to say I am incredibly happy with my decision to celebrate my birthday here. I will come back :) read more

I was painfully grabbed by the crotch on the dancefloor by a man I didn't know at one of their events. Obviously I was upset and angry. I told the woman working at the door and she promptly had a team of bouncers review with me what happened and point the guy out on the dancefloor. They kicked him out, no questions asked, and I greatly appreciate how efficiently it all happened. They left me to enjoy the rest of my night without too much havoc and so did. Upon returning to this venue for the event I need to modify my previous review..... this place was / is even more dreadful than earlierr experienced. Went for straight up R'n'R roots oriented band and upon entering was greeted / assaulted by horrible disco music. Mentioned to DJ the nature of the event and suggested a possible shift in the music choices and he said "We only play disco.". The band room was disturbing. Glaring and constant flashing lights were on the wall behind the band blinding and annoying the audience without any lights in front of the performers. The band played in the shadows.
