We tried the turkey burger aka the cover girl with sweet potato fries and the burger was delicious to the last bite. There are other burger places in the general area but they don't offer turkey burgers which is a healthier option with sweet potato fries. I hope I have the right Baby's Burgers. I tried their food truck for the first time at Angel Stadium prior to the Banana Ball game. I was delighted they offered something besides burgers, which I'm sure sounds odd. I requested crab cakes with curly fries. The order came out quickly. I was happily surprised that there were TWO crab cakes, not just one. It was very good. I grew up in Maryland where crab is king. These photos will make your mouth water or at least in person they did to me! We attended the races during the Uncorked festival and there were some food trucks to check out to enjoy some food before and during trying all of the different wines and this spot sounded the best and honestly for the best price. My fiancé and I decided to share this burger that had 2 grilled cheeses as the buns...it was insane and super cheesy but honestly it was SO good and thank goodness we shared it. We also ordered a side of their fries which were curly fries and seasoned so well and their special sauce was a great addition. WELP! I wish I had evidence of my delicious Turkey Burger and its beautiful presentation but I was hungry and it was so delicious that by the time I thought to take a picture it was devoured. I ordered the Au Natural Vegan/Vegetarian option. What I got instead was two tiny Vegan Sausage Patty Sliders with trimmed slider bread. The sliders had less than half a tomato slice and a tiny smear of avocado. Really randomly there would be food trucks chilling outside an apartment complex nearby where I live in Tierrasanta, and on this random weeknight, one of them happened to by Baby's Burgers. I was really curious about a random burger truck hanging at the end of town in a remote spot at 7:00pm so I decided to turn my car around and give it a try. Service-wise: the staff working the truck were super friendly and provided recommendations and explained each of the burgers I had questions about. Food-wise: I'm a sucker for those western style bacon cheeseburgers with the bbq so I had to give the She's Smokin' a try. I also added a side of curly fries to go with it. Burger wasn't the prettiest gal out there, but was as good as advertised with a juicy patty, good bbq sauce, and good balance on the additional toppings. Fries were solid and well seasoned but I like mine to be crispier. Not dockin' points off that cause everybody has their taste for fries. Ambiance-wise: the truck, the menus, names of each of the items, and staff had a cool vibe and theme going on which I think is essential for food trucks as you'd want a vibe that catches the eye and gets people curious about what you're marketing. In summary, for a spontaneous decision to try a random food truck at a random spot at the end of town, Baby's Burgers absolutely hit the spot and surprisingly exceeded expectations. I'm not normally one to spend more than 10 bucks on a burger, but Baby's was worth the money. And especially when you consider that most food trucks will upsell their item, the items here were at a great price. Every time I come here I get the piggy tail fries and the Mamacita burger with the jalapeños on the side. They have super fun names on the menu too. Even though Yelp hours, listed on their Yelp account, says open till 10pm it's really closed at 9pm. The blonde girl at the register explained that the kitchen closes at nine pm. I have been to their non-truck location in the CoLab Public House in Vista, where they share the space with three breweries and a wine bar. There is plenty of seating and a very pleasant and welcoming space. LOTS of screens showing sports so it is a beachy sports bar vibe. Go enjoy a burger with a beverage of your choice! The burgers are excellent! Delicious beef holds up well to the typical medium cooking treatment - I prefer mine with a bit of pink but that is hard to get in a place like this. But even at medium it is flavorful and not dry at all. Props for that! So far I have had the Original Beauty, the sliders, the Pig Tails (curly fries), and the chili cheese fries. All delicious! So disappointing. Gave them a try cause they have been at my job as one of our food truck vendors for the week. I chose there Vegan options to be sadly mislead and displeased. No grilled onions; no avocado; it's dry which is fine I added my condiments. Also the vegan patty isn't even a vegan burger patty! It's a vegan breakfast sausage! The burger came served on a tasty toasted Hawaiian bun. The bread was quite nice because it had a light crisp edge and was warm and soft. I liked that she hit the temp on the burger just right. It certainly was not overcooked and was very juicy and most importantly, it was packed with that great quality beef flavor. The burger also came with a host of ingredients. There was lettuce, tomatoes, smoked cheddar, pickles, and Baby's Special Sauce. It was a great combination of flavors. The sauce was similar to a mild chipotle sauce which as quite good. Very, very yummy burger. I got the She's Smokin! with Pig Tails today when the food truck was near my work. The food was out in about 3 minutes (there was no one else waiting for food though.) The bun was King's Hawaiian and super tasty (as that bread usually is.) The bacon wasn't too thick or too thin, but just right for the burger and the cheese was nice a melty. Couldn't really taste the crispy onions but i did see a few under the 1/2 lb patty. The fries were alright; I liked the salt added at the end but I wish the fries were actually seasoned fries like with the fry coating seasoned before frying so that the fries are seasoned all over instead of in a few spots.
