The Melt food was delicious! My first time coming here and it was an experience. Love the way one can customize their burger. Service was friendly, nothing too much that stood out, but sometimes that is a good thing. Ambience was SD vibe. Two restrooms is cool too.

The bread could have been left on the grill longer; it should have been darker than this. Light to dark brown would have been perfect. Other than this absolutely delicious steak sandwich, 4 sure, the shake too. Easy on the wallet. Service was great; parking not so great. Will return even for only the mac and cheese. 2 kiosks.

Not bad, but everyone in our crew agreed the Melt is fairly overrated. No issues with the service and the environment was cool, tucked away in downtown but the burgers lacked flair. Certainly hot and melty, but missed with the flavor. Lots of burgers around town I'd try before deciding on here but you'll still get a decent bite.

MELTBURGER

Came here for a late night dinner. Enjoyed it but it's definitely a bit of a greasy spoon drunk meal type of place rather than a cleaner fast casual restaurant that they tried to achieve. The ordering POS system the customers have to use felt a bit wonky. Definitely convenient late at night, but would not be my first choice during Moore typical dining hours.

LATE NIGHT BURGER FIX: I came here after a local recommended it to me. Good burger. If you're looking for a decent burger, you'll find it here. The decor is pretty basic, similar to a fast food spot. It's really all about the food, and they're open late, which makes it an easy stop after a long day. You can tell they have a strong local following. It's on the pricey side, but that's San Diego for you.

I was initially going to give a 2 star review, but after spending 2 days hunched over in pain with frequent diarrhea and discomfort, I'd give zero stars if I could. Thanks to eating lunch here, I spent the majority of New Years Eve running in and out the bathroom. For starters, the service was dismal and the people behind the counter seemed annoyed that I wanted to order. When I tried the food, I felt like the burger desperately needed more sauce.... and cheese. You would think with a name like "The Melt" this place would have a glorious cheese pull when biting into the food. Welp, no such luck. Burger was just a hunk of meat lacking anything resembling delicious eats with a $43 price tag for 2 burgers. I will never eat here again. I was sick to my stomach for days and spent what was supposed to be an incredible start to the New Year in the bathroom.

The food is delicious! I will definitely be ordering from here again. I post mate some food and it got here correctly. Great meal!!

Ordered delivery from The Melt and unfortunately the experience didn't match the price point. We spent over $90 on the order, which included multiple burgers and fries. The burgers arrived noticeably soggy, likely from being boxed while still hot with no ventilation. The buns were soft to the point of falling apart, which really took away from the overall quality--especially for burgers that are meant to highlight melted cheese and texture. On top of that, the order arrived with no utensils, napkins, or condiments included at all. For a delivery order of this size and cost, those basics should be standard, or at least confirmed. Flavor-wise, the burgers were decent, but presentation and execution matter--particularly when charging premium prices. This might be better enjoyed dine-in, where freshness and proper setup are more controlled, but as a delivery experience, it was disappointing for what we paid.

Wooow-- I did not expect to love their burgers so much! Perfect amount of cheese, great cook on it and flavor, the bread delicious. My hard-to-please friend gave it a 9/10, which I've never heard of from him lol. I like the space and layout as well, there's an upper dining area that was cool to hangout and eat at. Also the staff was really great -- they came over and gave us a free warm chocolate chip cookie that made me melt it was so good. Absolutely would return & recommend!

Hey when in San Diego u got togo the melt the burger I had was like wow out of this world so much cheese on it I guess that why they call it the melt .lol you have a lot to choose from on the menu and the garlic chicken and bacon Mac and cheese was on point and it was a nice size container of it the have upstairs dining room to sit and eat also . The only draw back its downtown parking just a pain to find it but... Don't let that stop u this joint is the place to be

Kids macaroni and cheese

I ordered the kids meal Mac n cheese with a side of apples and I was quite disappointed. The cheese sauce was liquidy and the noodles were a bit tough, like it hadn't been cooked enough. My order was ready before I even had time to fill my water cup, so I know they could have cooked it for longer. I am not a professional chef, but I feel it is a bit difficult to mess up Mac n cheese. And don't even get me started on the apple slices. They gave a measly four slices, which I hardly consider a side. Not to mention the slices had rough parts in it which I'm assuming had part of the core in it. On top of that, you have to trash and stack your own tray. Was not a pleasurable experience. The staff seemed friendly enough and ambiance was good though which is why I'm not rating 1 stars.

This location is in the heart of Gaslamp district and across the street from 2 clubs (American Junkie and Fat Tuesday). The biggest perk about this place is that they are open late until 3am. Despite Gaslamp being busy with clubs and bars at night, it's hard to find a place to actually grab food without paying a cover fee. The menu includes different burgers, chicken burgers, melts, shakes, and fries. The food was tasty and good. They have a few tables outside by the entrance which is fun to people watch. They also have tables inside. Overall, a decent and quick food option. I took off a star because it's a little pricey for a burger and fries ($19).

Excellent food, Excellent service, very friendly for a fast food place. Big burgers and large portions of fries, very fresh. There was a problem with the register but the manager made up for it by giving us beverages for free. Very cool. Unfortunately I live several hundred miles away and won't be able to come back but if I was here this would be my choice over in and out burger.

First off, if you're in San Diego, this should be your only must-visit. I rarely go back to places I've already reviewed, but Hodads is a MUST, non-negotiable!!! The dining room is not fancy and looks like a teenager's bedroom with stickers and license plates adorning the walls. While the burger speaks for itself, whether you get the mini, reg, or double, the patties are thick, juicy, with fresh veggies and a soft, sweet bun to soak up those juices. This goes for the onion rings too, that don't seem to come out of the dryer in a bag. At the end of the day, the service was fast and friendly and carried the ocean vibe a Cali burger joint should have. I even picked up my Hodads T-shirt to probably advertise on my travels! My only question and curiosity is in the fries. I'm not a fan of wedges, and I feel like my last visit, they were thick-seasoned traditional fries. Rocky's Burgers is a casual burger spot located in Pacific Beach, known for its juicy burgers,…read moresimple menu, and convenient location in a busy beachside area with a laid-back, local vibe. Pros: I got the half-pound burger with fries and it was really good overall. The burger was super juicy, well-cooked, and had that classic hearty, satisfying taste you want from a solid burger spot. The portion size was generous, especially with the half-pound patty, and the fries were a great side to round out the meal. The location in Pacific Beach is also a big plus. It's in a great area with lots going on, so it's easy to grab food and walk around afterward or make it part of a beach day. The overall vibe of the spot feels casual and fitting for PB--nothing overly fancy, just good comfort food done right. Cons: Since it's in a busy beach area, parking and crowds can be a bit of a challenge depending on the time you go. It's more of a casual grab-and-go or quick dine-in spot, so don't expect a sit-down restaurant experience with a lot of space or quiet seating. During peak beach hours, it can also get pretty busy. Verdict: Overall, Rocky's Burgers is a great spot in Pacific Beach if you're craving a juicy, satisfying burger in a fun beachside area. The half-pound burger and fries hit the spot, and it's a solid choice for a casual meal before or after hanging out in PB.
