    Biscuits and gravy

It was just okay.. I wouldn't go out of my way to go They are extremely busy for brunch so definitely have a reservation, but the service and food were pretty slow I ordered the biscuits and gravy, fine but wouldn't get it again The constant yelling is also a lot , not the general noise of the restaurant , but the HEY EVERYONE WE WRE GOING TO YELL "blank" ON THE COUNT OF THREE!"

We came here late Sunday night after dropping family off at CBX. We ordered a couple of drinks, burger. Sliders, and potato balls. All were except and delicious. Shout to the grill man. Food was excellent, so for keep asking you for extras from the kitchen. It was that good. Just remember that it is hot this time of the year and get your AC working better. Will be back.

I selected Werewolf due to the yelp rating and number of reviews. It did not disappoint. Our server, Fiona, was very personable learning all customers names. The place was jumping, with a DJ and hip hop music. The food was fantastic, I had the pancake with eggs and subbed meat for avocado. My husband had steak scramble, which was seasoned well. I have to say the bathrooms were wallpapered with comics, a little dark but thought it was cool. Definitely recommend.

Tiramisu Martini & Lite Brite. both so delicious

Came here on a whim hoping for brunch but it was already like 5 mins before 3pm so had to stick with lunch. Nonetheless, our food and drinks was so good. Fiona helped us from start to finish and was just an absolute sweetheart to my mom and I. She asked for our names & how our day was. We ordered steak tacos & breakfast burrito & 2 alcoholic beverages. Steak tacos & burrito--my mom enjoyed her tacos and meat was cooked tender to her liking. shes not a fan of onions & enjoyed the dish very much since there wasnt any in the tacos. my burrito was perfectly made not extremely greasy either & yet full of flavor. potatoes crispy on the inside & they were able to give me a side of sour cream. Drinks- not sure how much alcohol may have been in mine or if any at ALL but regardless it tasted like a tropical vacation in a glass. the whipped cream was a perfect addition. mom got a tiramisu martini and that was SO good i almost wanted hers instead of mine! perfect for brunch if you want a strong coffee lol atmosphere- bar setting but still plenty of seats/tables & of course your bar area. great personalities all around id definitely come back here!

Wine Wednesday and very cool spot!!

Well, first of all, this is a very cool spot and I kind of got caught in between brunch and lunch so I didn't eat as much as I normally would. But the one word that describes this place is service and Ruby. Every single person had a huge smile on their face and couldn't wait to help. You just don't find that very often, but I found it in the last 24 hours in the gas lamp it quite a few places. The menu here has something for everyone Plus great Beers and a really nice mimosa. I'll be back as soon as I can because I got a ticket for a free mimosa. Thank you, Ruby and Amber. I think also helped love them all.

    Karaoke DJ host was amazing!

Went for the first time to this Karaoke bar right in the heart of Gaslamp in San Diego. We went on a Saturday night after a Padres game. The bar was very low my with such positive and fun vibes. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. The Karaoke DJ host, Marlene, was amazing. She kept the bar lively and the customers engaged. Food was good too. Had a burger and beer, and both were delicious. Already making plans to go back.

I've been here twice now, and both visits were before a Padres day game for brunch. Both times the food was absolutely phenomenal. My first visit I ordered the sausage and gravy, and the second time I went with the Cali burrito. They were completely different dishes, but both were fantastic and packed with flavor. The service is what really sets this place apart, though. On both visits our servers were attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead. I especially love that they actually ask for your name and then remember it throughout your meal. It's such a small touch, but it makes you feel genuinely welcome and says a lot about the quality of people they have working there. And I have to mention the tiramisu martini because I ordered it both times and it did not disappoint. It's the perfect brunch cocktail. This has quickly become one of my favorite pre Padres game spots, and I'll definitely keep coming back.

Had such a great experience at Werewolf! The food was so good! We had the breakfast burrito, chicken inna biscuit, steak scramble, and the cinnamon roll cakes, and everything was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. The drinks were just as amazing. I had the Blossom Something and the Juicy K, and both were great recommendations from the hostess Jazzy who was also wonderful and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Our waitress Fiona was amazing and provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great food, great drinks, and great service all around. We'll definitely be back!

This place is awesome for brunch. Vibe is lit. Drinks are good. Food is good. And it doesn't break the bank. They have a dj during brunch and the music was good. Food was good. Those breakfast balls were EVERYTHING! The bourbon burger was good too! Taylor is a ROCKSTAR and definitely needs a raise and a promotion! He was the dj, the bartender, the waiter, the runner.... I mean he did it all.. and with a smile. This place is definitely the bomb brunch spot and I will definitely be back. The only reason I took a star is because they were understaffed so the food sat for a bit. Other than that, this place is it!,

    BISCUITS AND GRAVY
    Amy S.

We stopped in for breakfast before we head to the airport. The staff was so sweet and amazing. The restaurant was half fall when we first got there but completely full including bar seats by the time we left. There were so many choices and we both ended up with BISCUITS AND GRAVY * Scratch made sausage country gravy - two biscuits - cheesy chive scrambled eggs - breakfast potatoes. Huge. Delicious. Wonderful experience overall.

We stoped by here for breakfast. Our waiter Brock was great giving us recommendations on what to check out while we are in the area and worked with my wife to help her find something she could eat on the menu with her allergies. The service and staff was one of the best expernaces we've had anywhere. I git the chicken and biscuits. The food was solid but the gravy and the chicken were both cold, which was a bit of a bummer. This is deffently a spot I would check out again.

Fun, funky and delicious!! Interesting takes on breakfast food. Reviews said the pork belly eggs Benedict was yummy ..yes!!! Servers are kind and attentive and really add to helping you feel at home. Easy walk from any hotel in the Gaslamp district

When I first came in, I really wasn't expecting much, but I was really shocked to see what this place had to offer. This place screams "good vibes only" as it had such a good ambiance. It was pretty noisy but in a good way. It was like you had people to talk to. The staff were cosplaying as DC and marvel characters for comic con. We had lots of conversation and it was really fun getting to know them. Oh yeah, for comic con, it gets real busy after 7pm for dinner. Wish you could see the line right now. Probably gets even busier during the weekend. It's only Thursday and the line is already almost wrapping around the corner of the street... Grilled garlic ginger wings: (9.5/10) so delicious. This is a MUST get for me. So savory and paired with the chipotle and spicy sauce is even better. Very flavorful. Crispy chipotle sandwich: (7.2/10) Tasty, flavorful and crispy chicken, good chipotle sauce, everything blends really well, a bit dry. Seasonal spring salad with grilled chicken: (6.5/10) salad greens were fresh but chicken was dry, tasty Overall, I would definitely go here again! I love the 80s vintage bar vibes! Just don't bring little kids here. Teens and above are fine.

Chicken in a biscuit. I had to get it cuz that's one of my fave crackers, and I cannot pass up a fresh take on a breakfast staple!

    Ask the Community - Werewolf

Is it 18+ for karaoke hours?

They do have Karaoke on the weekends that are in the evening after 9pm with the Selling of alcohol that requires persons to be 21 or to be with their family.

Where is the easiest place to park?

Try to park as close as possible to the restaurant. Best parking will be with the closest paid parking lots and meter parking close to the restaurant.

    Do they have Take-Out?

Yes. I don't know which services deliver if using an app.

    Is this place kid friendly?

Yes, you can take a kid there, I would recommend breakfast or lunch though.

    Is kitchen open past 12am?

    Open from 8AM until 2AM

Do you broadcast the boxing fights on Saturdays?

Is there still karaoke? If so, which nights?

    Tuesday - Saturday from 9pm to 1am. https://thewerewolf.net/pages/karaoke

Are we able to make a reservation for two? I called and was directed to make reservations via yelp, but I only see a waitlist option.

Hi Kristen, we offer a waitlist, but we do not offer reservations.

Dogs ok? Just wondering if Werewolf is Fido-friendly.

I believe so! I have been here multiple times and seen dogs inside and if I am wrong, there is an outside eating space where pets are welcome.

    Outdoor eating- out door eating?

    Yes!

    Do they offer Bottomless mimosas?

    No you buy the bottle.

Hey! I don't see the waitlist on Yelp anymore, is there still a waitlist?

Absolutely. It's 90-120 mins right now on a Sunday around 11:30am. Yikes!

    Is karaoke back yet?

It is now! Went there a few times to sing this week!

Can you make a reservation for brunch?

They have a waitlist and take reservations over 10 ppl. Call and ask them. They were very helpful for our party of 8.

Can't find the happy hour menu?

I've only done brunch here but your best bet is to call and ask.

Did they get rid of the lottery tickets?

I didn't see or read anything on lottery tickets there.

    Is it celiac friendly?

I'm not saying this place is not celiac friendly, but I am saying, "damn! Your eating our choices/experience is greatly limited!!!" That's crazy man. Good luck. I have no idea if this place is your peoples friendly.

    Are there gluten free buns?

I'm sorry I don't know. I do plan on going there again though 🙂

    Is this establishment dog friendly?

Last time we visited, we sat at the bar (inside the restaurant) and there was a dog with the party seated next to us. So i assume yes!

    Does it have bottomless mimosas?

    I don't think so.

Pros: atmosphere, drinks, service Cons: food wasn't great for the price, restaurant was small and crowded, no parking Service: All of our servers were friendly and very accommodating. Gave us some knowledge on the menu and recommended cocktails based on our preference. I had spilled my drink and they were quick to make me another one. Food: I had intended to get the prime ribeye cap steak but they ran out for the night around 8pm. I shared the steak sampler which came with four different cuts of steak and 4 sauces. I ordered medium and it was cooked medium/medium rare which was fine with me, it also had a good sear, almost burnt though. Out of the four steaks, we only liked two based off flavor and tenderness. The other two were more tough and gamey. None of the sauces really stood out but the bordelaise and horseradish were good. For our sides we got fries, roasted broccoli, and the grilled wedge salad. Fries were average. The roasted broccoli had really good flavor, I expected the broccoli to be al dente but it was cooked to mush and drenched in sauce. The grilled wedge salad was decent, there was a slightly bitter taste to it. I know it says grilled wedge but the experience of biting into the salad and it being both hot and cold was not pleasant. Cocktails: I tried the Honey Ryder and New Wave. These were recommended as the more fruity/sweet cocktails. You can definitely taste the alcohol but it's only 2oz so it's not too strong. Ambience: 10/10 I got seated downstairs by the bar. Only thing about downstairs is that it's too dark to take photos unless you use flash. Overall, I agree with the other reviews saying to go just for drinks and appetizers. I would go again just to sit upstairs and get drinks and take pictures. Was a good drink but to me was not a matcha drink. The Sesame Old Fashioned had a slight sesame flavor. However I'd like more sesame myself. But a nice twist on an iconic drink. Overall our experience was 5 stars. Our server was great and she is the one who recommended White Lover. Sorry cant remember her name. But had sandy blonde hair and was on the taller side. She actually jumped behind the bar to make a custom drink for all of us! The shooters were outstanding!! Highly recommend this speakeasy for the Asian inspired drink and food!!

The staff welcomed us so warmly and even accommodated our early reservation request such a lovely surprise. This hidden gem feels like a little escape from the city hustle, with such a calming vibe. The cocktails were fantastic Tokyo Banana was delicious, but the Yame Matcha was my favorite! Hubby had his whiskey, and we shared chicken karaage and fries. Such a fun, cozy date night and honestly, such a beautiful experience. We'll definitely be back!

This one is long overdue--not that they need my review, because by now everyone already knows how amazing this place is. What keeps me coming back is the combination of great music, an energetic vibe, outstanding service, and some of the most creative cocktails you'll find anywhere. Tonight was girls' night out, so we decided to order the prettier, and sweeter cocktails. But don't let the sweet flavors fool you--they are definitely generous with the alcohol. These drinks may taste dangerously easy to sip, but they pack a punch! I don't even remember the names of the cocktails we ordered, but honestly, that doesn't matter because the menu changes so often. And that's one of the things I love most about Music Bar. Every visit brings something new, fresh, and exciting to try. Both of my drinks were absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. I honestly don't know how the bartenders come up with these combinations, but kudos to the team for constantly pushing their creativity while still making every cocktail incredibly well balanced. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular, Music Bar never disappoints. I'll definitely keep coming back to see what new creations they come up with next. Cheers to one of my favorite cocktail spots in San Diego!

Speakers and vinyls line the walls. Vibes are more elevated here than at your usual bar. I ordered the Nickel Fortune, which came out with a fun tarot card. It was a savory drink with a nice lingering of sesame oil after each sip. Seating is pretty limited inside, so reservations are recommended. CMB's website states that "cocktail attire is celebrated."

Items such as scrupulously prepared meatballs, fried polenta, spaghetti with mushroom sauce, etc., from the prior next-door, connected purveyor "Soda and Swine"...but those days are done ...I digress. And where is Soda and Swine's Yelp page? I know I did a review, but now the page appears gone completely in search? Nah, it's just hidden, presumably to accommodate Fortunate Sons, which opened about a year ago after re-construction of both establishments. I'm too lazy to see if still owned by Consortium Group. I did search my reviews and found my updated Soda & Swine review dated 8 & 10 years ago. O_o !! Now, food is still served, however, there's a new name in town called "Fortunate Son" (next door, connected). Apparently, food now served is Asian-inspired. I've not visited recently to taste. The North Park area is a great neighborhood with many different types of food close by. Not only that, but the drinks are strong (a pro for most, con for some). The food is delicious, and the seating is super comfortable! The service was above-and-beyond, as the staff there offered to remake drinks that my friends did not particularly enjoy for free. I do recommend to make a reservation ahead of time as walk-ins are not guaranteed. For reservations, you'll need to make a deposit. This deposit will be refunded once you show up. There was a wait despite having a reservation, but nothing too long. The volume is not too loud, and the speakeasy was very clean. The parking is moderately decent, but hard on weekends. There's a parking lot in the plaza, but street parking is also available as well.

I liked this part of the speakeasy the most and it was definitely photo worthy. The service was super awesome! Our waiter/bartender was very knowledgeable, helpful and funny. He was really cool and made the experience even more fun. Their menu is now through a QR Code. They offer seasonal drinks as well as house regulars. We all ordered a different drinks. They were Seoul City Hipster, Kasato Maru and Purple Petunias. Each was $20, but they were so tasty. I got the 52 Burger for $16 which was mouthwatering. One of the best burgers I have eaten. My friend got the 12oz Bone-In Pork Loin for $27. This was pretty decent. I thought the burger was better. Now that I have been here, I definitely recommend checking out this speakeasy if you haven't and I look forward to another trip!
