Do not go here! The place is dirty and food is below average. Came here for a quick dinner, we were seated outside and the tables were dirty. There were bread crumbs on the chairs and tables and the waitress paid no mind. We ordered a pizza and spaghetti and they were both new low average. They were both bland and tasted old. The spaghetti first came with a bug on the plate then they just changed the plates( I am Assuming this since they brought a new plate out within 2mins) The waitress never came to check on us for anything, we actually had to hunt her down to pay our bill. read more

We stopped here because it was close to our hotel and we wanted something lite for dinner. We sat outside and ordered wine, beer, a bottle of water, a hamburger, French fries, and 2 paninis. Most of the beers on their menu were unavailable with a limited selection which did not make my DH and DBIL happy. The hamburger came out first with the French fries. The paninis came out and were mediocre at best. When my DH went to order his 2nd beer he was told they only had 1 beer available so we settled the check and left. While sitting outside we were interrupted by street peddlers trying to sell us items off the street. Another diner was almost mugged while eating with his wife but a bystander who witnessed the encounter jumped up and the 2 muggers quickly left. read more

This restaurant is right next to our hotel. We wanted to get a quick lunch before heading out to visit the various sites in Rome. My spouse and I ordered a plate of cold cuts, fresh fettuccine, and grilled vegetables. The food was clearly freshly made and very good. The service was definitely slow but I believe I am biased by the mad rush service that I get in US. The slow service allowed my wife and I to chat, relax and make plans for the day. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the neighborhood and have some time on your hand. read more

We had a nice brunch , laid back and nice ambience. The cured meat appetizer was excellent. The home made fettuccine ragú was served el dente but barely any meat in the sauce. The bread served was chewy and fresh. The grilled vegetable plate was a bit of a let down - a few slices of grilled zucchini was good, but the grilled eggplant was barely cooked . We ate there tonight and were disappointed. Very disappointed. The service was slow. The walls next to the tables had stains from food. There was a cob web in the corner no one had bothered to remove. The bread was almost tasteless. We ordered two pasta dishes, two salads, and a vegetable plate. Frustratingly, they all arrived at almost the same time. My rigatoni was so undercooked, it was actually hard. And I like al dente pasta! Needless to say, I didn't finish it. My friend's pasta was okay. Mediocre is a good description. The salads had no flavor nor did the vegetable plate. With all the amazing Italian restaurants in Rome, I don't see how this place survives. To be fair, the woman at the table behind us was raving to the manager or owner about the bread, food, and service. She said they'd be in Italy a week and it was the best meal they had had. We stumbled upon this place as we were walking around Rome looking for a restaurant that had fresh food. we ordered drinks and and appetizer immediately, whatever red wine the host selected for us was incredible. The bread was delicious, as was the amazing bruschetta with truffles, mozzarella and bacon. For dinner I ordered the eggplant parm and my husband was craving chicken parm which the host was more than willing to accommodate our request...everything was excellent, small portions compared to many other places but enough food for a hearty fulfilling meal! read more

A hidden gem. We stumbled on this place,which was a stone's throw from the hotel we were staying at. We loved it. The staff were exceptional and very friendly. My boyfriend and I got 1 rice ball and two sandwiches. I got salami and mozzarella and he got prosciutto and mozzarella- both of them were not heated up enough and very salty. It's convenient if you're hungry and you're near the market but I would just keep walking. read more

Stopped for a bit of food later in the evening. Ordered the meat and cheese plate for two (two cheeses, pepperoni, salami, prosciutto). It was decent, though the salami was by far the best thing on the plate. The big disappointment was the very small pour for the wine (less that 1/3 of the glass). This is the first place in Rome that I have experienced a stingy pour, so I suppose I should count that a success. read more

To let everyone know. Italians like their pasta aldente. So it takes some getting used to. But wow everything we've had here from pizza to pasta has been great. The staff is super nice and very helpful. If we ever make it back to Rome we will come here to eat. read more

Terrible service and food! Owner and manager only cared about getting paid! No acknowledgement of of what the client experience should be in a world class culinary city like Rome. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!They don't care about their customers! We were told a 10 minute wait for outside and it was over 30 minutes. They brought us water but no glasses. Given we were in Italy for three days , we wanted a cheese burger and they brought a cheeseburger over cooked and two pieces of sourdough bread as the bun. HORRIBLE!!! read more

This restaurant has reviews of "good." But I am surprised that in a city of amazing food, they can still stay in business. The carbonara had a curdle egg sauce as opposed to a silky texture. The bolognese was meat sauce that a starving college student could prepare. The meatballs were tasteless. Extremely sad service and a waste of €83. Absolutely the best dinner we had in Rome. That's saying something, after Harry's Bar and other very upscale restaurants. The food was fresh, perfectly cooked, well. It simply presented (a must for us - none of that artistic plate arrangement crap for us!) and the maitre d' was engaging and delightful. There's even a priceless photo of him feeding a forkful of my husband's unfinished dessert to him to make sure he had "full enjoyment" of everything. Ok so let's just say that this is more of a bistro than a restaurant. Now that that is out of the way, it was totally worth the stop. I was looking for a quick light meal and decided to wonder down the block from the Grand Flora Marriott. This was a reasonably priced good meal. The staff were friendly and the service was quick without feeling rushed. I had an Italian equivalent of a Nichoise salad. It was a good size portion and filled me to the point I wanted to be. The salad was fresh, tuna was good and the accompaniments were good. The only issue with the entire meal is that the potatoes on the salad were slightly frozen in the middle, perhaps the fridge is a little too cold. Other than that, the meal was good, ambiance good and the service was excellent. Would go back for a quick light meal anytime. read more

Uncharacteristic Italy- in short, server was rude and inattentive. Food was very average comparatively speaking. Prosciutto was was dry (on the meat and cheese plate). My wife ordered a salad with tuna, came out with chicken okay...no biggie...fix it.. move on...but no...the guy was kind of a jerk..okay let's get out of here...had to ask for the check twice and she finally brought it, as I'm looking it over (to make sure it's correct) she rolls her eyes. We've been traveling throughout Europe for 3 weeks and we were just talking about Italy and how great our food experiences have been. UNTIL NOW. We stumbled upon this restaurant on our way back to our hotel. Stay away!!! The service was atrocious, our pasta was hard as rocks, the salads were unexciting, my wife's chicken came about 20 minutes following everyone else's food. I took the two pasta plates back to the kitchen and told them the food was not cooked. Nobody came out to see what the problem was. Finally, I walked up to the cashiers table to ask if the owner was around. She just looked at me like I had three eyes. Then, as my wife's chicken came out, a man walked out and he looked liked he owned the place. We asked if he was the owner and he didn't say anything and then said NO and then stood there and listened to our story. My wife told him her chicken was overcooked and the potatoes were cold and dry. He said he just had the chicken and it was delicious. I could go on and on but my feeling is that this restaurant owner probably has a lot of money and decided to open a restaurant with little knowledge of how to run a restaurant! Spent a lot of money on the interior. Too bad he won't be in business long. Do yourself a favor and not take a chance on this one. By the way, I asked for the check and of the twenty restaurants we been too in Europe this was the first one to take my credit card away from the table! All the others brought the credit card machine to our table to pay. I got up to make sure they weren't copying my credit card number and went to the cashier stand and the cashier, waiter and owner? were reviewing my bill. Needless to say, they charged us for everything we ordered. We went back to the hotel and ordered room service. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Bad bad place!! read more
