It sounded like something I'd be interested in the future, so I made sure to keep tabs on this place. While scrolling I saw they were having a perfume pop-up, and I didn't have any plans that afternoon, so I figured it was a good time to finally check it out. I made sure to skip lunch so that I'd have room for coffee and a pastry while I was there. The space is definitely cozy and it feels like you're hanging out in someone's living room. I ordered just a simple cappuccino and an apple danish which was warmed up for me. The woman at the counter told me I can have a seat, and that she would bring it over to me. I decided on a seat in a separate room, where there were small tables so that I can put my food and drink down, and because I had brought a book. The perfume was set up nearby, and I had a nice conversation with that woman, as well. There was a band setting up, but I did not have a chance to hang around and listen. The danish was very good and so was my coffee. They post on their social media often and it seems they have a lot of cool stuff going on. I hung around for about one hour and it was only later that I saw online that they have things for purchase, so I will definitely have to return and browse. I'm excited that Meriden has this cool spot and I'm really looking forward to visiting more often.

The mom and sister were screaming at the son and were slamming things around while customers were present. the sister especially was so mean. For coffee, I got the nitro cold brew with their seasonal cold foam, which was blackberry flavored. It was tasty but the ratio of coffee to foam was a bit off, with only about half the cup filled with coffee and the rest foam. You can either order at the counter and seat yourself in the little cafe area, or sit in the restaurant for full service. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

Rebel Dog Coffee's area shops have been on our radar for years, and yesterday we finally checked their Farmington location. It's in a strip mall shopping plaza right next to a Nardelli's more or less where Route 6 crosses Fienneman Road/Birdseye Road. Their Dog Pack has four Rebel Dog members spread out around the Greater Hartford area and some of their coffees can be found in local supermarkets. Their Farmington store is very large and comfortable, with plenty of space between the customer tables. The dining room was fairly crowded when we arrived, with people socializing and banging away on their laptops. Rebel Dog has a very deep offering of coffee drinks and food choices, Want a coffee? Well, you best be ready to choose among single or double espressos (with or without foam of whipped cream or steamed milk, lattes. Cappuccinos, mochas, and Americanos, light-dark-or decaf drip coffees, French Press, Pour Overs, teas, jot chocolates and a ton more. You can even get a growler of coffee, tea, or kombucha. I never saw that before. Now, what good is a morning coffee without something to munch alongside it? No worries, because the Dog has you covered with everything from "Build Your Own" breakfast sandwiches, six egg Benedicts, oatmeal, yogurt & granola, fruit cups, and pastries. LuAnn's is a new bakery and cafe located on Trumbull Street in Hartford, it is just a minutes walk away from the very active Pratt Street. Walking inside I immediately noticed what a clean, bright and smartly set up this space is. It is elongated on the inside with bar stools. Along the wall, they have little open "rooms", where you may choose to work, or maybe have a secret conversation. Their menu is filled with an assortment of coffees, drinks, refreshers, and more. They specialize in baked goods, such as cupcakes and other desserts. I even saw they had the viral dot cake. They also offer wraps and salads. On this occasion my mom got a Cappuccino and I got their White Chocolate Blueberry Latte. The presentation was lovely, the cappuccino arrived in a beautiful terracotta mug, that was filled to the brim. At first sip, my mom immediately identified the coffee beans, "This is Giv!" She proclaimed and she was instantly in a good mood. My latte was also made using Giv beans, this is obvious by the richness of the coffee. It was blueberry, but not overly sweet, very pleasant tasting indeed. Our interactions with the staff was all about smiles and very sincere welcomes. I will be back to try some of their baked goodies!
