    Robot waiter patiently waiting
    Elena D.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The location has been so many different things over the years, ever since the ol' pizza place left so coming in to have all the seating on one level was a new experience and the lightened up, coastal decor was a change. The staff was friendly and efficient, but the robot "waiter" really threw me off. I don't quite understand it... other than carrying more than two things at once, I wasn't sure if we were supposed to interact with it or what. I was not prepared for that haha. Anyway, we ordered the Combo 2 (crab and shrimp w/o heads) and the waiter talked us into the Louisiana flavor with medium spice. Plus we ordered a cup of clam chowder and sweet potato fries. We had barely started on those items when our bag arrived. The provide gloves, bibs, a bucket and plastic utensils, plus wipes for after. You will need it. Our waiter was even trying to convince us to throw food at each other. The food was very good, you know its probably terrible for you with all the butter and salt but still delicious. It was a very good experience, and had leftovers. If anything, they needed extra gloves, mine fell apart. Anywho, I will return. YES it is expensive but hell, its seafood, when isn't that expensive? And its an experience. I wish there was something like this on the Oregon coast, wouldn't the seafood be extra fresh then?

5 star experience from our amazing server Drew! She was incredibly informative and helpful when ordering, making sure we had everything we needed and keeping our drinks full. I'd highly recommend asking for her if you visit! I brought my Cajun grandfather here for his birthday, and while we enjoyed the meal overall, we have a few notes. The fries had great flavor but could have been cooked a little longer for a crispier texture. We ordered a seafood boil with snow crab, crawfish, shrimp, corn, sausage, and potatoes, opting for garlic butter with very light spice. The seasoning was spot on--previously, the mild was too spicy for us, but this was just right. That said, the crab and crawfish were overcooked, making them difficult to get out of the shell, which took away from the experience. On the other hand, the potatoes were slightly undercooked. If they can fine-tune these details, it would really elevate the meal. While we'd return for a special occasion, you might have better luck preparing seafood at home or checking out Newman's for fresh, well-prepared options.

This place just recently opened up and we decided to give it a try. Our first impression was that it seemed affordable for the price and not too crowded for a weekday. We ordered: -Cajun fries (5/5 perfectly seasoned and crispy) -Cajun wings (5/5 seasoned good as well and had a crispy batter; came out super temperature hot) -Calamari rings (5:5 super crunchy and not overcooked, had a great sauce accompanied with it) -Seafood boil (4.5/5 get the Louisiana style sauce; the atomic sauce was not my favorite) Overall, this was a huge improvement to the previous seafood boil place that was here. Would come back again!

Last time we came for brunch, we noticed the eggs Benedict no longer has the amazing Parmesan-crusted potatoes. The hollandaise is still decent and the focaccia bread is great, but losing that crispy crust was a big bummer. Today's visit for our usual wings and nachos was even more frustrating. First, they no longer offer ground beef for the nachos. We were told we could substitute steak, but that literally doubles the price of the dish. We opted for chicken instead, which was a steep $7 extra for maybe two ounces of meat. When the nachos arrived, they looked like low-effort, homemade oven nachos with just melted cheddar on top. The whole thing was fused together into one giant sheet of chips; we had to break it apart and manually pile the toppings back onto the chips ourselves. It was really weird. The biggest letdown, though, was the wings. It used to be a solid order of six traditional flats and drums. Today, we paid $14 for just four pieces, and they weren't even wings--they were frenched chicken thighs. Subbing a completely different, lower-quality cut of meat without telling the customer is false advertising, and they turned out dry. Plus, the sauce has changed from a traditional Frank's-style buffalo to a harsh cayenne sauce. Between the wings and the nachos, today's total came out to $34--and $40 with a tip. Paying premium prices for dry thigh meat, overpriced add-ons, and a block of fused-together nachos makes it really hard to justify coming back. I'm not sure if North Fork got bought out or what, but I really don't see a point in returning.

Hint, don't eat too much of the bread at the beginning . Overall the ambiance of the place was nice but a bit pretentious. Our wait person although sweet, and friendly was overwhelmed with her assignment. All told we didn't get our order taken for about 35-40 mins after being seated Given that, we were there for 2 1/2 hours as a result. The wait time we encountered and the steak prices are reasons I rate this place less than 5 stars, in addition to it being a bit pricey.

This isn't the place to bring a group. Inside is tight-there are two small low tables close by together and a narrow bar at one end with maybe 5 stools. There are also daily specials. We had a salmon sandwich with a side of fries and grilled yellowtail with rice which was the special for the day. The salmon sandwich (ordered no sauce or shredded cabbage) was good but nothing special. I'm sure the cabbage and tartar sauce would have given it a bit of zip. The fries were ok. The yellowtail didn't have much flavor until you out what tasted like a light teriyaki. It had brown rice which was nice & chewy and the sauce gave it flavor. You really have to cook fish with flavors like garlic, lemon or something to give it flavor. Service was really good. They were very willing to put things on the side or remove them. I don't think I'd go back. If it's nothing special, I'm not going to pay for a meal out.

The environment is lively, mostly because Taro is personable and we were able to see him create beautiful sushi dishes live while hearing him engage with the customers seated around him. It was actually really fun listening to his stories, and seeing how he is passionate about the food he makes. He was excited about the uni and was talking about how the fish he orders is from Spain and how he really wanted to order another great cut of fish. The food was delicious, even down to the house sodas they have. We ordered the summer margarita with fresh berries, lime soda, cold beet appetizer, veggie donburi, chef's choice spicy trio hand rolls, chocolate mochi blackberry cake - and at the end Taro gave us 2 nigiri on the house. The house lime soda - usually soda is nothing to blink an eye at, but the lime flavor was fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. We were surprised by how good it was. The summer margarita was a delight, the alcohol and fresh summer flavors balanced perfectly so that neither overpowered the other. The beet appetizer was fun to try. Beets can sometimes be too earthy/muddy in flavor, but the nutty dressing paired with the salty, crunchy puffed chip paired well with the soft bites of beet. The veggie donburi bowl was much bigger than expected, and everything on it was good. The tempura tofu was well executed - silken tofu encased in a thin/crispy layer that tasted light and not greasy. The overall flavor of the bowl is akin to teriyaki, but less sweet and more of a deep umami and more smoky flavor. The handrolls had a good amount of fish to rice/topping ratio. The wasabi actually has some real wasabi in it, and the pickled ginger and soy sauce made every bite flavorful. Very filling. The fish were all fresh and tasted great. My partner who almost never eats meat couldn't resist and ate a piece of nigiri and loved it. The mochi chocolate cake was very unique and definitely worth trying. I find most chocolate cake too sweet with a generic cocoa powder flavor and too heavy. The texture of the cake is not too dense, but has a nice mochi bite to it while tasting a deep cacao flavor without it feeling too heavy. The sweet/richness is just right paired with bites of fresh blackberries. Honestly, may be the best dessert I've eaten so far this year. The interior is well decorated and pays homage to Akira the anime. The hostess who greeted us seemed stressed and it definitely showed on her face the whole night. But, our server was kind and attentive. Despite the handrolls taking ~20 mins to show up, the food was delicious and worth the wait. There is so much more to try on the menu. First off, it was on the opposite end of where our gps showed us it was located at, but I was prepared by other Yelpers that mentioned it could be a challenge to find. We did not have reservations but arrived just before the dinner rush, so we thought we'd try our luck. The inside seating was filled, but we got our pick of table outside. The waitress promptly put the table shades up to block the sun from the area, which was nice (it was a bit warm outside). The outside tables filled up soon after we were seated. We shared a Caesar salad for appetizer and were very happy with it - tasty dressing, good croutons, and good cheese on top. The bread with sauce they gave use was very good too. The pasta came and as I already saw from the Yelp pictures they give you a good amount of pasta, which isn't always the case at Italian restaurants these days. 3 of us ordered the smoked salmon alfredo and one of us ordered the vodka rigatoni. The salmon is wild caught, if I remember right and it tasted as it was smoked in house - very good. I'm not typically a fan of alfredo but I'm a big fan of smoked salmon and I'm not sure what they do differently with their alfredo but I really enjoyed the sauce as well as the salmon. My son who ordered the vodka sauce rigatoni left the cleanest plate of all of us so I guess he liked his as well. Our waitress was very helpful all the way through and helped make it a great experience. As a part Italian, I definitely give this spot two thumbs up, and my family did as well. I wasn't too happy with the steamed egg. It was dry and felt more like a baked egg. You can smell the baking soda/powder metallic, bitter smell in it. The bi bim bap was good. It came sizzling hot. I think the rice was just a tad wet because it didn't make a nice, even crust on the bottom. Instead, it burned some parts of the rice. As for flavor, most of it had to come from the bottle of 'bi bim bap' sauce that was watered down. After I doctored it a bit, the dish came out perfect. I feel this place has a lot of potential.
