The technician Peter (name is a somewhat vague recollection) supplied by Appliance Worx, made quick work of removing the skin of the washer down to its guts to diagnose the washer's illness. I was fairly convinced that the water pump (or whatever it is called in a clothes washer) had failed. Peter determined that it was the impeller (reverse of a propeller, moves the water OUT of the washer) which had encountered and chewed on a combo of rubber bands and hair (? cat) which lodged in its craw and paralyzed it. Likely, a cat toy from the occupants and their feline friends. I appreciated the fact that the technician COULD HAVE easily hoodwinked me into paying for a water pump replacement (2x+ the repair bill) , but instead took the honest path and cleared the obstruction then quickly and expertly reassembling the disemboweled washer Bravo!
