    Veal tenderloin

Probably the first to create the culinary tradition of Rehoboth, the Back Porch continues to wow new pans returning customers. Elegant tables with creative art inside the cozy space to the glorious warm days on the porches, this place always makes me smile. A recent visit to say "good evening" before their winter hiatus, we chose the comforts of what I think of as the winter dishes. The sweetbreads, always magic and the sauce is impeccable served as the top starter. The duck, crispy skin, tender and flavorful meat with perfect bok choy and coconut sauced rice is just sublime. The veal, gorgeous and paired with mushrooms and grits of a higher order. Do save room for the dessert, this time the chocolate torte. If you are a regular, you will get to know and recognize your servers and hosts.

First off I have to say is that the host or manager read the notes I made when I made the reservation for Mom's 94th birthday. The host, staff, serves could not be more accommodating..They were perfect all around to even lowering the fan and a/c for Mom. I have to tell you that the server and The Food delivered; it was one of my best meals in a long time. Started without a cocktail, sidecar, ummmy...Then switched over to a bottle of Clos du Val. As for the food, I started with the spinach, lobster and shrimp gratin, very good and my entree was the rack of lamb medium rare cooked to perfection. I then chose a chocolate martini to go along with my chocolate dessert which was also very good. Others had a beet salad, mesclun salad and a chilled soup (cucumber dill)...All were happy. Entrees pork tenderloin, and a saffron risotto stuffed eggplant. We will be back again, before the summer is over...Thank You Back Porch Cafe.

Delicious meal and great service at Back Porch Cafe. They rotate their menu very often so you can continue going back and always try something different! I was bummed that they were out of the ravioli the night that I went, but was happy with the fish cake which I have a picture of.

We happened upon this place walking around and are so glad we did! It is reminiscent of a courtyard restaurant in New Orleans, tucked away down an alley, which is what attracted us to it. We sat outside and drank in the ambiance as we waited for our excellent server Alina to bring our drinks and appetizers. We had no idea when we walked in that the food would be the star of the show. (And we highly recommend the pear martini and margarita.) We started with Gorgonzola flan and a beet salad (no pics, sorry). The flan was light, creamy, and savory and was in a well-seasoned bed of spinach. The beet salad had apples, beets, arugula, and goat cheese. Main courses were delightful. I had halibut with sweet potato purée and corn chowder, and my friend had the rabbit. Both were well prepared and the flavors went together perfectly. Dessert was a limoncello cake - lemony delicious! It was hard to choose between the desserts on the menu but this one was a winner. Always look down the alleys in Rehoboth- some of the best places are tucked away from the touristy bits!

Our Server Mariah was so happy to take a funny photo of us!

A favorite when we are in Rehoboth. Wonderful wait staff and terrific food. Plus two choices of different ambience, both terrific.

Came in on a rainy Saturday evening. The place, which is nicely set up with some Turkish touches…read more(and some tv's) was not crowded. To get to the seating area, you walk by a large bar at the front. It was a bit off-putting, as it wasn't clear to me whether the place was a bar with food or a restaurant. Once you settle in at your table, it's clear it's a restaurant. My partner and I shared the Appetizer platter, which includes Hummus, Dolma, Baba Ganoush, Cous Cous, Eggplant Salad, Potato & Bean Salad, & yogurt. It also comes with pita bread, cut into small slices/triangles. You can also order falafel as an add-on, at $2 per falafel ball. The appetizer platter items were all good. The pita was a bit hard and didn't have much flavor. it was also a small portion of pita - we ran out fairly quickly. The falafel balls were also very good. Crunchy on the outside, but moist and flavorful inside. Really good falafel. The service was fine. We did have to call the staff over to fill water glasses. Service could have been better, considering the restaurant wasn't crowded. My beef with the place is the price. The platter is $27.99, and $2 each for falafels. I think that's a high price point for the platter. At a minimum, it could include 2 falafel balls to help better justify the high price.

Excellent, excellent, excellent food. I have been here every weekend for the appetizer platter and…read moreI've tried many dishes. Love the Kabab salad, lamb kabobs and the gyro. Food is always good.
