    Mixed grill was delicious!
    Ian S.

Had walked by Aroma a million times, and enjoyed one of it's previous occupants multiple times when it was Stoney Lonen. So glad we enjoyed Aroma - what a feast. Our party of seven made a reservation and was seated promptly. The service was friendly and quick with a recommendation. We enjoyed everything. The cocktail list was great, and the hummus and fresh pita to start with was to die for. Fresh, made from scratch, flavorful, and authentic. I enjoyed my mixed grill a lot - enough of everything to try and a really yummy, satisfying meal. Next time we are going to try the desserts! They got the kids food out first, which is always appreciated, and every order was perfect. Great time - we had a fabulous meal. Thanks so much!

A fabulous dining experience! The food, service & ambiance were superb! The owner, Murat & our server Yuri were beyond welcoming & hospitable! Highly recommend for any occasion or just a fine meal.

We were in town for the weekend and decided to give this place a try. It was a great decision. First of all, it was only a block away from our hotel. Second, the food, atmosphere, and service were all great. We started with the dip combo. It came with four different kinds of dips, as well as Naan bread. The hummus was my favorite, but the carrot and spicy dip were also very good. We then had the feta and olive appetizer. The feta was probably one of the best I have had. Next, we had the mediterrean shrimp over salad dish. Another great dish. We ended with the lamb kebabs.

Exceptional food and phenomenal service. The entire experience was amazing from start to finish. The appetizers were amazing. The spinach pie was delicious as well as the naan and hummus. The carrot dip was AMAZING. My chicken kebab was well cooked and the rice was very traditional and also delicious. Dessert was top notch. The home pistachio baklava was so so good but the cheese pie was OUT of this world. Family owned and operated. The owner was extremely friendly and personable. It was nice getting to know her and the restaurant's background. Cannot wait to revisit :) highly recommend!

BAD SERVICE! EXCELLENT FOOD! This is the best lamb adana kebab I have ever had in my foodie life! I am in trouble. My tongue is spoiled and I can't eat anything less delicious than this! Shepherd's Sautee is phenomenal! I am in BIG TROUBLE! I have to find Turkish food in Nashville that can compare to this restaurant. Service is not okay. Our server didn't even ask if we wanted to drink anything besides water. I had to ask another table's server to get the rice that was supposed to come with our entree. We stopped the receptionist that walked by our table and asked for more pita to go with babaganoosh. She said it is made to order and you have to pay extra for it. She said if you ordered Kebab, you will get the pita. We saw another table offered it. They didn't even ask for pita. I gave 5 stars just for the food.

A special thank you to Peter "Pan" for making our night so memorable. Not only were the cocktails delicious, but watching him craft those amazing bourbon creations was an experience in itself. I only had the one I paid for. There's no need to lie, bad days happen. This is not a speakeasy, this is a restaurant cosplaying as a speakeasy. That may be a bit harsh, it's a speakeasy in training. Sure, it's got all of the speakeasy decor, blackout curtains over the windows and doors, and a big selection of pedestrian liquor but it's not quite there. We went in on an early evening on Wed and there were maybe 5 other patrons in there. Our waitress was nice and brought us water to the high top. She brought us two food menus, and a specials menu. I asked for a bourbon list and she brought it; no prices on the list. Annoying. On the specials menu there was a small section of manager recommended drinks and one was a Willet. The way it was written was confusing because it said it was both a 4 year and 14 year for $52, so I asked for clarification on the age statement. She took the menu to the barkeep, who confirmed it was a 14 year so I said yes I'll have that. A drink was brought to me, but I could tell from the taste that it was not what I ordered. I asked the waitress for the bottle, she asked the guy behind the bar for the bottle and he pulled down a willet pot still bottle (pot still is the entry level Willet and at best a 5 dollar pour, no where near what I asked for). I told her that I was given the wrong drink, then she approached the bar and between her, and the male and female bartenders they had a weird back and forth conversation. Then, finally they pulled down the bottle that I asked for, that was advertised, and gave me a pour of it. I asked to see the bottle and the waitress brought it over but held it instead of putting it on the table (it was a 13 year Willet, Paper Trail). As we were about to order we were told that they reset the menu the very day before, with the focus of putting more love and care into the food. Feeling good about that, we ordered the French quarter catfish and the bourbon braised short ribs. The corn that came with the short ribs tasted straight out of a store bought steamable pouch, and the "ribs" weren't ribs at all, just sliced meat. The only redeemable thing about the catfish dish was the aioli; the rice had no flavor, the corn was cold and hard, and the catfish was mostly breading. We both took a few bites and resigned. I have been to many speakeasies around the US, and there are common themes: a much better selection of liquor; 95% of the bourbon were low tier bottles you can find in any liquor store for around $50. Also, when customers ask for the bottle, it isn't because we plan to steal it or drink from it, its because we're genuinely interested in the information on the labels. The quickest way to get people to stop spending money is to make them feel as if they can't be trusted touching a bottle. Perhaps it was an off day for the staff and this wasn't a typical experience, but I won't go back.

From the moment we walked in, the host and owner were incredibly welcoming and kind. We started with a Hefeweizen and a Cosmo. While the Cosmo wasn't anything particularly unusual, it was honestly perfection -- exactly how a good Cosmo should taste. Once we were seated, we were taken care of by two servers who were both so friendly, attentive, and conversational. We shared the buttermilk fried oysters to start, which were delicious -- and actually my first time trying a fried oyster! For dinner, we ordered the lobster spaghettini and the New Bedford scallops. Unfortunately, something about the lobster spaghettini was really off. I have NEVER sent a dish back at a restaurant, but neither of us could eat it. I couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was, but the flavor seemed to be coming from the breadcrumbs throughout the dish, which tasted extremely stale (not just toasted) or maybe just too much miso? That being said, the way it was handled could not have been better. The owner was incredibly gracious and accommodating and immediately offered to exchange my dish. I ordered the scallops instead, and they were absolutely delicious. Beautifully seared, and the accompaniments worked so well together. One bad dish could have easily soured the experience, but it genuinely didn't. Between the oysters, scallops, drinks, and especially the hospitality, there was far more to compliment than criticize. The staff made us feel so welcome, and I really appreciated how kindly the situation was handled. We would absolutely return and recommend this restaurant. Sometimes how a restaurant responds when something isn't perfect says just as much as what happens when everything is -- and they handled it wonderfully.
