We had an amazing meal at Aroma. We had several small plates and entrees. Our server Medi helped explore the menu. Besides a delicious falafel and babaganush, we had the branzio fillet and chicken kebobs. We loved the octopus and our vegetarian friend was so impressed by the cauliflower dish. Had walked by Aroma a million times, and enjoyed one of it's previous occupants multiple times when it was Stoney Lonen. So glad we enjoyed Aroma - what a feast. Our party of seven made a reservation and was seated promptly. The service was friendly and quick with a recommendation. We enjoyed everything. The cocktail list was great, and the hummus and fresh pita to start with was to die for. Fresh, made from scratch, flavorful, and authentic. I enjoyed my mixed grill a lot - enough of everything to try and a really yummy, satisfying meal. Next time we are going to try the desserts! We came here 2 years ago! Same owner. Many changes. Not for the better either. Hummus smelled like poop. Had gone bad. Owner said it may have been due to the hot summer day. We were a party of 12. Six of us ordered the Adana kabab, since last time it was so good. Kabab was burned and dry. When we spoke to the owner he said it was because it was a particularly busy day and with so much on the grill must have been lot of fire. Isn't that the goal of any business to have a full restaurant. Truth is there were plenty of open tables. Truly disappointing. Hope they go back to serving good food. read more

We were in town for the weekend and decided to give this place a try. It was a great decision. First of all, it was only a block away from our hotel. Second, the food, atmosphere, and service were all great. We started with the dip combo. It came with four different kinds of dips, as well as Naan bread. The hummus was my favorite, but the carrot and spicy dip were also very good. We then had the feta and olive appetizer. The feta was probably one of the best I have had. Exceptional food and phenomenal service. The entire experience was amazing from start to finish. The appetizers were amazing. The spinach pie was delicious as well as the naan and hummus. The carrot dip was AMAZING. My chicken kebab was well cooked and the rice was very traditional and also delicious. Dessert was top notch. The home pistachio baklava was so so good but the cheese pie was OUT of this world. Family owned and operated. The owner was extremely friendly and personable. This place is a hidden gem. It was a bit of a strange experience since there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant, but it just meant the staff was more attentive. The "small" plates were actually quite large, so we definitely over ordered them, but that's never a problem. The falafel was outstanding. The salad that accompa with the Mediterranean shrimp was plentiful- and so good. I highly recommend the shredded lamb as an entree- it was super flavorful and came with a risotto-like rice that was just perfect. We came with a group of 7 and had a great time. BAD SERVICE! EXCELLENT FOOD! This is the best lamb adana kebab I have ever had in my foodie life! I am in trouble. My tongue is spoiled and I can't eat anything less delicious than this! Shepherd's Sautee is phenomenal! I am in BIG TROUBLE! I have to find Turkish food in Nashville that can compare to this restaurant. Service is not okay. Our server didn't even ask if we wanted to drink anything besides water. I had to ask another table's server to get the rice that was supposed to come with our entree. We stopped the receptionist that walked by our table and asked for more pita to go with babaganoosh. She said it is made to order and you have to pay extra for it. Hubs and I went for dinner last night and had an amazing meal!! We started with the carrot tarrator which was a (hard to describe) unusual dip/spread served with delicious warm pita. It was so uniquely flavorful and delicious! Then we shared the Mediterranean shrimp appetizer... Shrimp were wonderfully marinated and perfectly cooked served on a delicious mixed green and shredded veggie salad. For entrees I had the shrimp and white bean stew, and my husband had the Adana kabab. Both were wonderful! Cannot wait to come back! read more

These businesses are all doing their best during this stressful time.We were there in a busy night with the place pretty full with capacity guidelines and lots of take out. Yuri, our waiter was great, but spread really thin. The food was slow in coming out and Yuri recognizes this and comped a drink. The Donner kabob and hummus were outstanding as were the onions and rice. I mean amazing ! The spanakopita was also awesome, and very different as it was Turkish Origen and not made with philo. We will return and support local. This place deserves a fighting chance as they opened in March the day the lockdown started. Delicious Turkish food right near the beach! Appetizers are excellent and the pita bread is superb. Everything came out fresh and hot, including the vegetarian options that were ordered. My only complaint is that the mixed grill is pretty small - only enough to feed one person. You will need to order at least 2-3 of these to be satisfied, or order plenty of appetizers. The appetizers are so good that ordering three of them is enough to make one satisfying meal. The prices are pretty fair as well. I would happily come here for dinner again. read more

A hidden treat! We dined here last week and it was outstanding. We ordered Piyaz and Cacik for appetisers and both were great. The service was excellent and very helpful. For our main dishes we ordered the branzino and lamb kabobs. The branzino was fresh and very tasty and the lamb kabobs were tender. Both were generous servings. We finished the meal with baklava made wth pistachios very similar to the Persian recipe. We were very pleased and will add this to our regular selection of restaurants in Rehoboth. read more

Food is meh with fancy/expensive prices. I would say $$$. Small plates are around $30 and entries Above $35. Fish was over cooked and olive oil with pita is bland. I've had better at a third of the price and I'm from DC so not like I'm from a cheap dining location normally. Also, if going to charge so much at least buy dishes from somewhere other than Dollar Tree. Also, limes in drinks were rotten. This is a mediocre restaurant at an expensive price point. read more

I would have done 0 stars but you have to put 1 to be able to post a review. We were four people last night for dinner and it was the worst food any of us have ever had. The cauliflower with tahini sauce was drenched in oil. The white bean salad and the hummus both had really strange tastes. The lamb on the mixed grill was so overcooked. The spinach pie is actually little eggroll- like things and the server had a rather odd reaction when we told her there was no spinach in them. But the bad food was balanced out by the exorbitant prices and the terrible service. The entire hour and 40 minutes we were at our table there was a table for 4 diagonally across from us where the people had left and the table was never serviced, so the used plates and glasses just sat there with the remnants of their dinner on them. The restaurant has little signs on each table with QR codes that take you to google reviews. The signs say that if you post a 5 star review and show it to your server that they will give you a gift. Hmm, I wonder if that applies to Yelp reviews also? Thats the only possible explanation for the 5 star reviews here. All I can say is STAY AWAY! read more

Skip the small plates. Go for the kebabs! Rehoboth has so many excellent restaurants and we were hopeful this would be one of them. The challenge was it was clear significant short cuts were taken with most of the small plates. The hummus was fine, but the piyaz salad tasted like it was made by opening a can of beans and adding a few veggies/seasoning and the borek, while reasonably tasty, seemed like they were factory made. The fries were the worst offenders. They were clearly just frozen fries that could have been bought from a grocery store and warmed up with a little seasoning on them. They were flavorless and limp. On the bright side, the kebabs were excellent. We tried the chicken, steak, and lamb ones and loved all of them. They were flavorful and well-cooked and left us considering ordering more. The cocktails were also strong and tasty. It's clear the chef is capable of making great food, but takes too many shortcuts with the small plates. I'd consider going back, but would be very careful to find out which foods are made in house and which ones use pre-made ingredients I could have just as easily bought in a store and warmed up at home for a fraction of the cost. read more

Aroma delivers a Turkish take on Mediterranean cuisine and delivers the combination of flavors and healthy options that you would expect. We were sufficiently impressed that we went multiple times in the same week to more fully explore the menu before offering our thoughts... which are: 1) This place will get quite busy once everyone realizes just how good the food is. We had no problem getting a table, but we made reservations to be certain. 2) The grilled chicken thighs were awesome! 3) Try one of their dips with bread... we especially liked the eggplant. 4) Their bread typically comes a little soft... but the bartender (Yuri) encouraged us to try it crispy. Be sure to ask for a steak knife if you order lamb kabob....my guess is they use mutton instead of lamb which is considerably cheaper. We ordered two lamb kabobs ($39.95 each) which came with raw red onions, a slightly grilled tomato, a very slightly grilled whole Jalapeno chili pepper( seeds included) and white rice. Out of the entire meal only the white rice was tasty. The "lamb" was tough, chewy and hard, if not impossible, to cut with a table knife. We did have hummus which was good with plenty of warm pita. To sum up, our bill was in the neighborhood of $99.95 which didn't include the 3% surcharge for using a Mastercard. We googled the Mastercard charge and found it to be lower than 3%. All in all, we'll look for another Mediterranean restaurant in Rehoboth next time. read more

FIVE STARS AND MORE! We came to Aroma with a party of seven and all of us absolutely loved this restaurant. The service was top notch. Our server let us know that they were short staffed that night, but regardless the service was absolutely perfect. Our server took great care of our table and thoroughly explained the menu options to us. The food was out of this world phenomenal. We ordered a bunch of appetizers the eggplant dish, the garden hummus, and the cauliflower. All were great but my personal favorite was the cauliflower. It was roasted perfectly and drizzled with tahini. Each table gets fresh bread and a sundried tomato dip that was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it. For dinner our table ordered a variety of meat dishes which they all loved. A member of our party ordered salmon and she was raving about it. I ordered the okra dish which was delicious. They offer a good amount of vegan and vegetarian options that are listed on their menu. Overall, we had a wonderful night of great food and great service. Next time I think I want to order a bunch of their appetizers like tapas style. We highly recommend this restaurant in Rehoboth beach boardwalk. read more

We had a nice dinner here on a Tuesday evening. Aroma is a nice local restaurant with tasteful decor and a definite "euro" vibe from the background music. We had a couple of Stellas and the complimentary pita to start. I ordered lamb kafte with grilled vegetables and rice. I miss having nice grilled food! Well, I was very happy when my order arrived. The veggies and rice were great (the red onions really are strong) and the kafte which I believe is a mix of lamb and steak was simply melt in your mouth fantastic! Excellent food, good service. The decor is lovely. There was a really pretty room off on the right that would be perfect for a romantic dinner. My family visited on a Friday night in April and it was not busy. We had hummus, lentil soup, mixed platter, kofta, tea and mint lemonade. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. There is a grilled hot green pepper on every platter if you like it super spicy. If we return to the area we will return. It was a great experience. read more

I was really rooting for this restaurant because they opened the day that the governor shut down indoor dining in 2019. We finally visited and were overall underwhelmed. Service was on point but every dish we had was lacking. The prices I found really high for the area and quality as well. It always rubs me wrong when you could literally get what we ate from a food truck for $5. I get overhead and all, but $25+ for most entrees that were mediocre at best is insulting. The decor is also SO BIZZAR. Everything is mismatched and worn to hell. It's like they went to a thrift store and threw the place together. Truthfully, the one highlight was the rice pudding.
