Due to the fact that I only use organic oils that are also safe for consumption, I was hoping they would help to accommodate me. He even coughed on my foot at one point, kept grunting, and was clanking the hot stones in the bucket right next to my head which was super annoying. He also had me lay face down the entire hour and didn't even give me a head massage. It was terrible. I had an $80 gift card that my mom gave me and I tried using it, but for some reason it caused so much drama with the front desk lady. I couldn't understand fully what she was saying, but she started raising her voice and I think accused me of turning a "$60" into an "$80" on the gift card. She kept writing the number 6 and turning it into an 8 on paper, it was ridiculous. She then called the owner and got her boss involved, to which they asked if I'm going to tip... I wasn't on planning to tip the leftover $20, but I just wanted to leave at that point after arguing for 15 minutes. What a highly stressful ending to my massage! I wouldn't recommend this place especially if you get the male masseuse and beware of using gift cards since they seem to freak out if you have one.

My group of 3 has tried to set up spa days at Asante multiple times, and it is always very difficult to schedule. Asante just does not have the ability to accommodate groups. The spa manager, Tracy, is rude and unpleasant to deal with on the phone. We kept going to Asante, because the massages and facials were always great. Our last visit was the final straw. We had two derma plane facials and one massage scheduled. Tracy had to call to change the time of our spa services because they had an esthetician leave and had to schedule one facial with a new esthetician. The facial type was NEVER mentioned during this call, only the time change. When we arrived on the day of our spa services, the esthetician was not certified to do a derma plane facial. This was a surprise to us, and when questioned the esthetician brought in Tracy, the spa manager, to help figure it out. Tracy came into the room with a very negative attitude right away. She insisted she did tell us about the facial type changing during the phone call. She was unnecessarily aggressive and rude. She offered no apologies or willingness to figure out the situation; she simply wanted to argue that we were told about the change. A different type of facial was not a huge problem; we were just surprised about the change and had never been informed. The esthetician provided great service and was apologetic over the situation. When we were ready to pay, Tracy was at the desk. She did end up giving the facial free. Again, she was not friendly, or apologetic. Her exact words were "I'm not going to make you pay for a service you didn't want," with the same aggressive tone. Tracy's approach to the situation was just bad overall. Tracy is not someone who should be the face of a high-end spa like Asante. She has really given us a negative impression of Asante.

First and most concerning, I was charged additional fees for services that were never clearly disclosed prior to the massage. At no point during booking or check-in were these extra costs explained. It is unacceptable to surprise customers with charges after the service has already been completed. Second, one of the primary reasons I purchased a membership was the understanding that I could use my accrued sessions at any location. However, this particular location consistently applies upcharges just to use the sessions I have already paid for. This completely undermines the value and purpose of the membership. Another frustrating situation occurred when two of us booked back-to-back sessions. When the second person wanted to transfer their session to the first person, we were told this would require additional fees. This felt unreasonable and inflexible, especially given that the sessions were already paid for. Throughout multiple visits, there has also been constant pressure to pay for upgrades, add-ons, or extra charges. Instead of feeling relaxed and taken care of, the experience feels transactional and uncomfortable, as if the focus is more on upselling than on customer care. Overall, the lack of transparency, inconsistent policies, and persistent upselling have made this a very frustrating experience. I would strongly encourage management to improve communication, clearly disclose all fees upfront, and honor the spirit of the membership agreement. Until then, I cannot recommend this location as I've not had experiences like this at other locations.  Multiple negative occurrences have left a bad taste for too long, time to let it be known.  I will definitely be closing my membership once I've used my service credits but I will not be using any of it at this location for sure.
