Came to the bar on Sunday July 5 to have a drink with my husband, after finding out that my lifelong friend passed away. The cook came out to the outside bar after his shift, in a sleeveless shirt and sandals. then proceeded to start an argument with another bar guest and was circling the parking lot and threatening to kill people. Friends keep telling me how good the food is here but in the 3 times I have yet to experience a good meal. Typical Sysco bar food. Service is also kinda slow unless you're a regular, it seems. They do have a really nice bourbon selection though. Extra star for that. read more

Came here Wednesday afternoon to enjoy being outside. They do have an outdoor patio that's shaded so you don't see much sun but some people may not want that so fyi! Really enjoyed the pretzel! Great taste and texture. Quesadilla wasn't bad and I really enjoyed the peppers in them! Spinach and artichoke probably was the least favorite. It was good cheesy but flavor was a little bland. Chips had a great seasoning dust to it but it wasn't very crispy. Good vibe outside with outdoor seating and outdoor bar and tv seating. Good for a very casual time. read more

Backstage is my kind of bar with my kind of people. Don't get me wrong, Westpark Station and PJ McIntyre are good (the latter being my designated place of enjoyment for a drink and bartender conversation) but if it's food I am in the mood for and an eclectic mix of crowd it's BSB for me. The pre-midnight menu is good and even the late night food too. They sport delicious appetizers and hearty burgers. My favorite App is by and far is the Buffalo Chicken dip and pita. The dip is spicy and rich and I could eat three of them before my body told me I should have stopped at 1/2. The Black and Blue burger is my choice lunch and dinner. There was literally 4 people in the place....small group of us came in and stood and waited at the bar for a drink....and waited.....and waited....and waited. We stopped here after landing at the cleveland airport because we were literally starving. When we entered we were greeted as soon as we sat at the bar. There was a super sweet woman working the bar but I can't remember her name! Food was great I got the cajun chicken pasta (I believe that's what it was called) and my fiance got a burger with mozzarella as an appetizer. Everything came out quick and served hot, even the local's were super sweet to us! They played great music which lightened the atmosphere as it is a pub style bar. Been here half a dozen times. I like the rock decor...guitars hanging in walls, bands and dj's on weekends, Touchtunes jukebox, not too brightly lit. Outside bar in back is always popping. The food is good. The mussels are outstanding. Calamari and tots good. I tried the turkey reuben recently. I didn't care for how dry the inside of the sandwich was and how greasy the outside (bread) was. Service has always been good. Fair prices. Now the bad. Parking can be impossible if you come late on the weekend. You pretty much have to park in the back parking lot which is small and is for several other establishments. Also, they have left the front and back doors open on more than one occasion and it was COLD and letting cigarette smoke in. I choose to sit inside to stay warm and not breathe cigarette smoke. I didn't ask anyone to close the doors but I was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriend and I left early. read more

My husband and I visit Back Stage Bar often. It's our favorite watering hole in the Kamms Corner area. The bar has ample indoor and outdoor seating, great staff, and yummy food. We usually visit the bar during tribe games due to the $5 tall boy drinks special. But, the bar has other drink and food specials. My go to food order is the veggie alfredo pasta. The pasta is always so creamy, full of veggies, and cooked to perfection. The crowd is always friendly and ready to have a great time. And the staff are always friendly. This place has awesome tacos, but if you're not a friend of the staff good luck getting served. 15 to 20 people at the bar, two bartenders on duty (or apparently on duty because they were both serving beers and shots to their friends), but if you entered and sat at a table, they were just too lazy to either greet you with a hello or even see if you wanted anything. It's not the first time this happened. Sat and waited for about 15 to 20 minutes and then finally had enough. If you know the staff, service is quick and friendly. If you don't, it's not very welcoming. Then I guess it was my own fault for going there in the first place. I'll never be back. read more

Everything I have ordered at back stage has been awesome! The pizzas are perfectly cooked and they have nice crisp crust. The loaded tots are a HUGE portion and covered in toppings. The biggest surprise, however, were the CHORIZO TACOD from the Wednesday taco night. Being from Southern California, I have seen Cleveland struggle to serve up legitimate chorizo, but these were hands down the tastiest chorizo tacos I have had in Cleveland. Only 2.25 a piece and they easily had twice as much meat as Barrio's, for less $$. Not to mention cheap beer as well. More people need to know about the chorizo tacos here on Wednesday's! read more

I used to only frequent Back Stage for drinks late on weekend nights, but had always heard I should try their food. One Sunday afternoon when drinking was not in the cards for us my friends and I decided we should give it a try. I was so impressed that I did not believe I was eating at the same place I have seen many a people run to the restroom, fall asleep etc. I ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and I couldn't believe the abundance of flavor there was in the breading. They were large as well and it was plenty to split between two. For dinner I ordered a flatbread, and my two other friends ordered a build your own sandwich and the buffalo chicken wrap. I tried a bite of both of theirs and wish I would of had their meal. While my flat bread was good it did not compare to their meals. I did not feel like any part of the meal was frozen, it was all well seasoned and when you go during the day it really cleans up nice. I would definitely go back as there was a burger on the menu that was calling my name! Next time your in Kamm's Korner don't let the dark bar steer you away! read more

Went over to Back Stage tonight for some food. We had some pasta, which proved to be worth the modest price. The wife says that the meatballs were okay but a little lacking. I had the Sicilian Chicken Tortellini. It was fantastic. I really like it that they have mix and match options for their pasta dishes. Good beer selection and good music. The tabalupa deal they offer for most local sporting events cannot be topped... Half of your tab for certain sporting events if the event goes in your favor. A good place to have a few beers and some food. Wednesday is taco night. While they might be your average taco, they are very tasty. Not overwhelmed with too much spices or powdered mix. I ordered french fries with no salt and YES they actually came the way I ordered. (not my experience at other bars) Friends had burgers and salads and said they were really good. I have had their wings in past visits and they too are very tasty. The music is also good and they have a wonderful patio. The down side is almost no tap beer - only two taps of the weird and bad stuff. They could also use a beer special of some kind and not just rely on happy hour. Service was sufficient. It is a little dank and dark in there. But don't let that scare you off. It is one of the better and less expensive joints on Kamm's corner. read more

Just had another great dinner here. An 8 oz. rib eye, with green beans, and German Potato salad. One of the best dinners we've had at any "corner"establishment. Back Stage consistently serves up delicious food, at a reasonable price, that keeps us going back. As a friend once commented after trying the lemon crusted chicken: " " it was so good I wanted to lick my plate". With al the bar / restaurants in West Park, this one stands above the others in the Variety and quality of food served. From "bar food" , to the above the norm, unexpected , super dinners you would expect at a higher end establishment. Hope u give it a try..... WELL worth it.
