Burger was juicy, flavorful, and the tempura avocados were an interesting twist on the un-fried norm. First couple bites had some crisp but mostly the avocados got soggy halfway through. On the space: we ended up sitting in three different spots to eat. We went outside by the street first -- super loud, and people were smoking, so we headed back in. The open spot inside was right under the AC and about forty degrees, so we moved to the back area. The back was fine -- covered -- but pretty dirty, with mop buckets and clutter sitting around. The one drink I had was a good value since we were there at happy hour -- some kind of fruity whiskey drink. It was fine, but nothing I'd seek out again. I hate to give such a friendly place a bad review. It'd be a really great spot if you're a college student who wants some cheap bites and a drink -- but honestly it's just bar food, and the ceiling is probably a 4 on a really good day. I wouldn't get excited to head down there, and parking is a bit of a hassle too. Would recommend only if you're after very cheap eats in that area -- check them out for happy hour. I'm not 100% on cooking but I'm pretty sure thats not how it works. They took off $5 for the potato (out of the $25 price) and then the waitress tried to defend it by saying it was the type of cheddar that kept it from melting. I really hope they fail and we can get a competent dive bar here because it is nice to get a late night drink.

Anyway, we were seated right away upstairs as our table was ready ahead of time. Our table included a bench seat against a brick wall with a few small pillows and 5 chairs. The seating against the wall was quite uncomfortable. When our entire party arrived and we ordered cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I'm giving 3-stars for food because it was hit or miss. Half our group liked their meal and the other half did not. We all agreed the best thing we had from the menu was the tiramisu dessert and I really enjoyed the small garden salad, which was actually a generous portion and I liked the radish included! I also want to say thank you to our waitress for not kicking us out when the restaurant closed, she let us enjoy our time together without making us feel rushed.
