Delicious and we didn't miss the normally included liquors in the spirited version. She ordered a make it yourself burger: just the bun, patty, some ketchup and mayo. Medium. Side of fries. Her way. Burger perfect medium. Fries were crispy, above average. I ordered the Mushroom Avocado burger, also medium. Burger was juicy, flavorful, and the tempura avocados were an interesting twist on the un-fried norm. First couple bites had some crisp but mostly the avocados got soggy halfway through. Not sold on the tempura frying but the sandwich on the whole was great. Got some local draft on the side. Well taken care of, food was great, will return.

We ordered the cornbread skillet first. Mmmmm mmm. Warm in a skillet and served with whipped honey butter, could it get any better? Well....maybe. Because the beef tips were so incredible. Melt in your mouth! One of our party likes cuts of meat on the pink side, the other prefers more well done cuts. Off Kelly went with our plates, returning having divided them into two and having the beef done perfectly for both of us. Get some extra BBQ sauce/gravy with it. Perfection. Mashed potatoes were also quite good. We were stuffed. I would go back in a heartbeat. Yum. Kudos to the chef, to Kelly and to the manager, who stopped by twice.....once to serve and once to check in.

On my first visit, I ordered the tri-tip. While it was good overall, it could use a few tweaks--the meat seemed a bit under-seasoned, and the presentation wasn't particularly appealing. That said, it was perfectly acceptable and hit the spot. My next two visits were at the bar, where both bartenders were friendly, attentive, and clearly knew their craft. Based on those experiences, I'd definitely return if I were in the area and would recommend others give it a try as well.

The restaurant is modern and clean. Service was great from the moment we walked in and throughout our visit. Since it was our first visit, we received an order of their beignets for free. They were delicious and served with honey marmalade. Our meals were prepared as requested and everything was served quickly. We both ordered a side of country potatoes that were perfectly seasoned and crispy, but not dry. We loved our visit to Another Broken Egg Cafe and will definitely return. The coffee was constantly flowing, the meals were delicious, and we also got free beignets as a first time welcome. Gold stars all around.

The open spot inside was right under the AC and about forty degrees, so we moved to the back area. The back was fine -- covered -- but pretty dirty, with mop buckets and clutter sitting around. The one drink I had was a good value since we were there at happy hour -- some kind of fruity whiskey drink. It was fine, but nothing I'd seek out again. I hate to give such a friendly place a bad review. It'd be a really great spot if you're a college student who wants some cheap bites and a drink -- but honestly it's just bar food, and the ceiling is probably a 4 on a really good day.
