Went to Black Eyed Pig BBQ for dinner. Black Eyed Pig BBQ is in the industrial section. There was a heavy downpouring, the parking space in front of Black Eyed Pig was flooded. We parked on the side to avoid to get our feet wet! This is a small place with seven tables and several counter chairs! Because of rain, only four tables were occupied! The ambiance is cozy and decorated with Pig or Pork theme along the West Virginia Mountaineer theme. The bathroom is on the outside. The door was barely lockable! The floor was wet and not exactly in the best shape! We ordered full rack of wet baby back ribs and brisket. The brisket was tender and cooked to perfection. You can use your choice of BBQ sauce for your personal taste. The baby back ribs were ordered wet. But the four of end ribs were dry and hard to chew. The middle ribs were better and edible! The coleslaw appeared siting for a long time and black eye peas has a smoky and funny taste. The potato salad was excellent! The waitress was wonderful and the beer price reasonably priced. We visited The Black Eyed Pig and had a fantastic experience! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, helping us choose some great options since it was our first time there. We went for a half slab of St. Louis-style ribs, wings (which absolutely lived up to the hype!), and pulled pork. Everything was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. We also tried the sides -- mac and cheese, fries, and potato salad -- and each one was delicious. The food was good and enjoyable the only issue but this is a preference issue not a taste or quality issue is the meat is very smokey aftertaste which is not my favorite kind of bbq. It's a tiny restaurant in a semi industrial area that gets a good ole boy clientele. You can park right out front. Prices are reasonable and you get quite a number of items from their menu. I chose their baby back ribs. For my sides I opted for black eyed peas and (upgraded) to their Mac n cheese (based on other reviews). I loved the ribs. I got them dry and dipped then in the sweet bbq sauce. They also had hotter bbq sauce on the table. I like the black eyed peas also. I didn't care for the Mac n cheese (I regretted the extra $2.49) as the macaroni was a bit over cooked for me. My husband liked it, however, so I gave it to him. I should know by now that there are certain southern foods cooked not to my liking -- for example certain veggies and pasta. It's always too mushy for me. My husband got their pulled pork platter with baked beans twice. He liked the pulled pork as well as the baked beans. Both dishes also came with a choice of Texas toast or corn muffin. We both had the muffin. They say they are jalapeño muffins -- mine had all the spice. His not so much. We should have traded! Good restaurants in Naples are abundant, which is one of the reasons I love visiting that area! For a restaurant to stand out to my family it really needs to be unique or go above and beyond somehow. Black Eyed Pig BBQ stands out on many levels. The restaurant itself is almost hidden within an industrial area of Naples (until then I did not even realize Naples had an industrial area). The restaurant is located in a small building on a side street off Pine Ridge Road. It seems like it is a secret location frequented by people who work in that area, and those who are lucky enough to learn about the Black Eyed Pig by word of mouth (or Yelp). Luckily, a family member shared this secret, and we were able to try it out for ourselves. The inside has a limited seating area, which led me to believe that most of their business is take out. However, if you do want to dine in, they have seating along a counter, some high tables with stools, and some regular tables with chairs. This is a casual restaurant - shorts and flip flops are the norm. The walls are filled with historical photos and BBQ décor - my favorite was a sign that read "BBQ - because no great story begins with someone eating a salad." Now, for the most important part - the food! They offer a variety of BBQ favorites including ribs (dry rub & wet), smoked sausage and turkey and brisket, as well as yummy side dishes like baked beans, black-eyed peas, potato salad, coleslaw, and more. We tried pulled pork sandwiches - one on a bun and one on Texas toast. The sandwiches were OVERFLOWING with flavorful pork - almost too much for one person to eat. They gave us bottles with a variety of BBQ sauces so we could add our desired flavor/spice level to our sandwiches, which we all enjoyed. The pork was so tender and tasty - you could tell it had been slow-cooked for hours - it was AMAZING! Even my husband, who considers himself a BBQ connoisseur and knows some of the best BBQ places around the country, loved the food at Black Eyed Pig! If you are looking for a meal in an elegant restaurant with white-glove service, this isn't it. But, if your real concern is delicious authentic BBQ - you have found what may be the best BBQ in all of Naples! We got the ribs, both St. Louis and Baby back ribs, and sides (collard greens, fries, and baked beans) and 3 pieces of key lime pie. The ribs were decent but overpriced, $32 for rack of St. Louis and $24 for Baby back, the collard greens and baked beans were good, but the fries were not good and generic bagged cut undercooked fries. The worst was the "key lime pie". It was not a key lime pie but just lemon flavored meringue filled broken crust and wurst if all it had bits of other food in it and a strand of dark hair!!!! Gross!!! Also, our order of $90 had a $10 gratuity added to a takeout order. Not sure if that is for everyone or she just us as the lady we saw in there before us also got a takeout order and I overheard the register lady mention that she should of given her a tip. Also we ordered a beer while we waited for our order and both of the frosted glasses were dirty. So not a clean place. I decided to bring the "key lime pie" back because why would I pay $18 for 3 pieces of this gross stuff and when I said it had hair in it she said "oh okay"....no I'm sorry about that or anything!
