This breaks my heart so bad.... I wanted to love this place soooo bad but was So disappointed. We walked in and kind of hung around as we Were confused. Do we wait? Do we sit? Go outside? Finally I asked someone walking by and they said sure sit where ever. So we went outside and shared a table with another group since all tables were full. So we sat and sat and sat and no services. Finally we asked a waitress walking by and said yes your waitress is so and so and she will be right with you. So we waited for ever it seemed and never saw her. Finally we asked another waitress and she directed us to go to the bar and order our own drinks and place our own food order. So that we did. Ordered a daiquiri to drink and it was far from a daiquiri. Wasn't frozen and it was about 2.5 ounces of mixed drink for $9. ‍ so we got a Paige waiting for our food and it was almost another hour before the pager went off. So over all, bad service, tasty drinks but way over priced. Nice outside set up but clearly they are understaffed but continue to let people sit and be disappointed. Dogs & brats, and by brats I'm not just taking bartenders. The "bartenders" must be related to the owner because if your not a friend or have breasts, good luck getting a drink. They'll pick up your empty and not ask if you want another. Oh, and the brats, let's not forget them. Yes alcoholic parents can bring, and not attend to, their bratty kids. So if you know these people, you'll live the place. If not, move along. read more

Went last night with a large group of friends. About 10 of us in total with more on the way. We arrived around 12:30, maybe a little later. Place is definitely not open until 2 am. Bartender wasn't rude, just unpleasant. Stated his manager told them to shut it down because they didn't have a big enough crowd there that night. We were there, a bunch of us, ready to spend money and they wouldn't serve us. We weren't intoxicated or loud or unruly. Just a large group looking for a night cap. It seems unusual to me that a bar would turn away a large group and in the same breath complain that there isn't enough people there to remain open. If I could give this place a 0 I would & that's being generous. I ordered my food inside because no server ever came to my table. When we asked who our server was she proceeded to give us a name and walked away and didn't even bother to ask what we needed. I ordered my food at 7:30 and still didn't have it by 8:30. I went inside to ask about it they couldn't find my order on their computers and didn't seem to have a solution. I asked for my money back and when they were giving me my receipt he brought my pizza like I was ready to eat a whole hour later. Super unprofessional super unprepared. They waited until I COMPLAINED to then "find" my food. I will NEVER RETURN. EVER. They ran out of pitchers and they even tried to talk my friend out of ordering food 4 hours before they closed. The only reason to go here is for the playground and they kick people with kids out at 9pm ( the place is empty after this, says something for the type of business they are) the food sucks the service was horrible we were over charged for our food and the "general manager" denied the whole thing even though we were reading the prices directly off their menu. He was an asshole and treated us like shit! I'm surprised this place has stayed in business don't waste your time or money. This is exactly the type of place San Antonio needs! A place for parents and children to have some outdoor fun with some great drinks and an awesome DJ! The only reason I'm giving this 2stars is because they could use another playground set for the older kids (8 years old +). There was a lot of smaller kids running around with the older kids which wasn't too safe. Also, the day we went, which was a Sunday, they ran out of food. So why go to a bar if one doesn't drink. Has to be the Ambiance? The Service? The delicious menu full of tasty options? How about all of these. Honestly, this isn't your typical bar food ( though if that's what you're craving they have that also.) The inside open dining area is just as spacious as the tables in the front, with plenty of tvs for sports or news. This isnt the old hole in the wall of yesteryear. Infact it now sports bright lighting and a large spacious seating area in the back. From the backseating you can keep an eye on the little ones. As I was watching the drinks are many with specials and variety. The bar was always crowded but moved smoothly. I went up and ordered my Cuban sandwich was flavorful and comforting a side of fries complemented it. Despite it's modest size itcwas indeed full of flavor. I've tried many things from the menu and so far nothing has let me down. They are using safty standards with masks, cleaning tables and sanitizing stands. Bartender did not know the difference between sparkling wine and Chardonnay, or why they are poured in different glasses. They double charged me for drinks, gave my boyfriend a dirty glass for his Jack and coke and my friend was served her beer in a chipped and shattered glass. Im pretty sure they're racist here.. not only did we wait outside in the hot sun for 30 minutes before getting a server to finally serve us. And bring us WATER. We had kids with us and they had us waiting for no reason because it wasn't crowded. The servers were rude and didn't communicate anything. Went for lunch today. Ordered Backyard burger. Asked for medium, was told that they would try since all burgers are made medium well. They weren't close. Burger had no flavor very very bland. Very small for the price. Fries good. Had to ask the bartender for napkins and other condiments since none were brought. When placing order you have to go to the bartender because you're inside. Only outside do you get service. The line to just to speak to the bartender way too long. For the price not worth it. McDonald's is better and I hate McDs. Do not go near this place. The restaurant design is such a cute concept with an amazing location. The service was TERRIBLE. We waited for an hour in a near empty restaurant with plenty of waitstaff wandering around. No one would take our order. We went to the bar FOUR times to ask for someone to help us and eventually put our food order in at the bar. Wife and I came here on a Sunday afternoon. Looking for a pet friendly place since we had our puppy with us. First time here and the yelp reviews and menu looked promising so we gave it a shot. I know this is a family friendly place with a playground in the back for kids. There are a few tables in the inside area. We sat out front to avoid the children playing in the back (since we had our dog with us). There was a nice big porch out front with some tables. It was nice. After figuring out what we wanted to eat and drink, I went to the bar to place our order. A margarita and a sangria. Neither were to our liking. I actually had to order a "can" of wine to pour into the sangria to make it taste better. Now for the food we order. Wasn't satisfied at all. I'm not sure if this place is a restaurant or a bar trying to be a restaurant. We ordered the beef fajita nachos and chips and queso. I even specified no sour cream. Well, the nachos came out cold and had sour cream on them. Didn't want to return them, we're just not like that. So wife and I picked at top layer. Very disappointing. Like I said, I think this is a bar trying to be a restaurant. While picking up my food at the bar (they give you a pager to notify you when it's ready) there was lady picking up her food as well but she ordered a pizza too. She started complaining too because some of her food was ready but not the large pizza and even at that it took forever for her to get her partial order. We were sooooo disappoInted! We found out that there is an automatic 20% added to charges over $100. It was pretty easy to get there when you are charged for the splash of soda that is added to the smallest cocktail glass ever. If I'd of known that I would have just ordered a can of soda and poured my own. We got charged for each refill of lemonade. Our bill was a whopping $164 for a burger, 5 wings (not 5 orders but literally 5 wings to an order), tots, truffle fries, chips & Salsa, 4 bar drinks, 4 beers, 3 lemonades, and 2 sprites. The margarita was very good but lacked chili powder of something on the rim. The food took about an hour to come out and I didn't understand why if it was just wings and fries.... Fried food.
