While in the area for parents' weekend, I stopped into Scuzzi's for dinner with my college student. Scuzzi's offers excellent hospitality and delicious Italian food. We ordered and enjoyed the following dishes: Fried cheese ravioli Caesar salad Nona's gnnochi Chicken Parmesan Fettuccine Alfredo Food service was very prompt and I must say all of the dishes were flavorful and quite enjoyable! We had an excellent meal at Scuzzi's and I will be returning on my next visit to Pullman for another great meal! read more

We have come here numerous times and I'm surprised to discover I hadn't ever written a review, so this is long overdue. This is really an underrated gem in the area. The food has always been fantastic and the service is also first rate. This Sunday we had Manuel as our server and he was attentive to our table keeping water glasses filled, bread dish full and checking everything was alright. This time I opted for a standby, the spaghetti Bolognese with a very savory meatball. (Actually the meatball could be a small meat loaf!) The sauce was nice and light, filled with meat and very flavorful. My wife had the spaghetti primavera with chicken. She loved the crisp vegetables, which are often soggy or limp. We have never come away disappointed with either food or service. The interior is beautifully paneled and reminds you of a classical Italian restaurant. (Which it is) Highly recommend. read more

The food came out good and fast. I had the veal Parmesan. The kids had chicken fettuccine Alfredo, pepperoni pizza and chicken fingers and potatoes . My daughter wasn't a fan of the chicken fingers because they are not crispy but they do have good flavor. Our waitress was a great and attentive server. This was our second Valentine's Day here, and it's officially become our place. The vibe is beautifully simple with an Italian aesthetic, upscale and elegant without ever feeling snooty or pretentious. It strikes the perfect balance between impressive and comfortable. The food is consistently excellent, high quality, thoughtfully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The pricing reflects the quality and experience, and it feels well worth it. It's the kind of spot you choose when you want to impress without feeling over-the-top. The drinks are a standout. The Carajillo is a whole show and vibe (don't skip it), and I had the best Cosmopolitan of my life. Stephen, our bartender, was incredible, attentive, friendly, and calm despite how packed and overwhelming Valentine's night was. The Carajillo is a whole show, and Brandon our waiter performed it perfectly. It felt like dinner and a little bit of theater all in one. He was charming, attentive, and made sure every detail of our experience felt intentional. There was a slight wait even with reservations, but it was Valentine's Day, completely expected and honestly worth it. last night my girlfriends and i had an AMAZING time at scuzzi's. everyone including our waitress, hostess, other workers, and the owner was so patient, hospitable, and we never felt unwelcome. i came here 2 years ago during a very busy valentine's, and even then, our service was amazing. this time, we came to celebrate our friend's late 21st birthday and having taken our last final of the semester! our waitress was named allison and she was too patient (way more than we deserved ) and fun! she checked on us a gracious number of times, which we appreciated. for food: i ordered the tuna and it came with a yummy mango asparagus sauce. it comes with spaghetti so i requested a lemon butter sauce on it i do wish it was a bit more zesty but it was delicious- not oily and heavy and also not bland! allison came around asking if we wanted cheese, salt, or pepper on everything :D so there's really no complaints about something being too salty or undersalted. it was my my friends' first time at scuzzi's and they ordered the beef tenderloin, chicken napolitano, grilled chicken. they loved their food. one of them ordered a red wine (we forgot the name) and thought it was sweet and decadent. for dessert, i ordered the crème brûlée which came with strawberries and whipped cream on the side. i'm a sucker for custardy desserts so i was in heaven. it was one of the girls' first time trying it! at the end, the owner, mazi, was intent on making sure we celebrated, so the team brought out sparklers and canolis with yummy cold filling & chocolate chips for us. allison even took the time to take pictures for us before we left. overall, we loved the fancy and inviting vibes at scuzzi's and will be coming back, of course!!! read more

Amazing service, rough food I wanted to like Scuzzi's. Our server and the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely fantastic. Unfortunately, the food didn't hold up. Beef lasagna: sauce was sharp and overly acidic; the beef tasted stale. I love all lasagnas, not this one. Penne alla vodka: watery, flat, and strangely flavorless, no creaminess, no depth. By the end I was thinking I should've just made pasta at home with a jar of Rao's. I'd come back for the people, but not for these dishes. If the kitchen tightens up seasoning, balances the red sauce, and gives the vodka sauce some body, this could be a different review. read more

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here yesterday. It was great. The food was delicious. We had the carbonara and the Chicken Neapolitan's. Both were wonderful. We got a cannoli on a plate decorated for our anniversary. The service was top notch. The only disappointment was the tiramisu - not the taste; the size of the serving. We were too full to eat it there so we got it to go. When we ate it at home, the size was about the size of a small muffin, which was not worth the price, but the taste was great. One of the most impressive parts of the service was that the server put our leftovers in our to-go containers so we didn't have to do it ourselves. That is quality service. This restaurant is a San Antonio classic, traditional Italian dishes with Mazi's magic touch. I love to sit at the bar, with their high tables, cozy and perfect for a good talk. But they have regular tables and a good size patio for the fall days. Today I tried an Espresso Martini , one of the bests I have tried. I also tried for the first time here their fried oysters appetizer, with a creamy sauce, spiny, mushrooms and pancetta, so yummy. Then I tried their cucumber martini so fresh! It was just perfect. We added the beef carpaccio, the shrimp appetizer and the fried calamari; I must say that out of the tree, the calamari was my least favorite, not because it was bad, but because the other two were delicious. Found this hidden gem of an Italian restaurant thru AA Dining and so glad we did. My daughter lives close and we went while I was in town visiting. All of our food was exceptional, but the standouts were the meatball appetizer and grilled vegetables. Great place for a celebration, date night or just to eat. Three birthday celebrations happened while we were there. Jaylin "Jay" was a phenomenal server with a mix of knowledge and personality. One of the managers Omar even stopped by our table. Went back in spite of my disdain for this place bc a friend was in from out of town and really wanted to try it. Food was nastier than usual. Entire staff was rude and they looked either stressed out or methed out. I heard the "owner" yelling at some poor waiter. Cussing and using language in a business with kids everywhere. My friend was disappointed even though I warned him. Food is meh, prices are ridiculous and the portions are smaller than the last time I went a month or so ago.
