There were signs displayed around on the deals for the week on beers and other specialty drinks. If you want to listen to some music there is a nice up to date Juke Box up on the wall. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. Not a huge crowd around Sunday Afternoon but around 6ish is when people start to come and shoot pool. I ordered a Malibu and Cranberry which was pretty tasty. It gave me a slight buzz but not overly over the top. it was just the way I liked it. This is a nice place to just come and chill with some friends or even a date night. I would recommended this place and definitely make my way back here for some more fun.

Jim and Bonnie's provides catering and the facility is available for events. If you visit in the near future, talk to Jim in regards to membership in the IBC. I understand that there are some slots open. If you enjoy billiards, the cost is minimal in regards to the quality of the tables, food and camaraderie you will find here. Note that this is NOT a pool hall bar; this is a first class, family run, private facility for people serious about the sport (which also happens to function as a restaurant in order to market their services). Everything was explained clearly and whenever we need a refill on water or soda staff was on it. You can order a beverage from the bar every 45 minutes. They have a nice selection of beer and wine and other cocktails. I just got a sprite but our friends both got draft beers. We look forward to coming back soon!

A pretty simple looking bar with basically just drinks. There's a food truck outside it regularly. Came in and it was surprisingly better looking and clean. It's probably gone through a few renovations. There's lots of pool tables. Apparently this is a popular place to play it. They have tournaments. It's about $6 for a basic cocktail. Whiskey or whatever mixed with a pop. Bathrooms are actually modern and clean. These were a pleasant surprise because we were expecting something cramped and smelly. Good local bar. It's located across from the golf course, but this place doesn't seem like a place for golfers. There's not a food menu, but they have food trucks.

On our first night in St. Charles for the Jazz Fest, we headed into The House Pub to hear a great…read morehorn player. Frank Capalano was the reason we went in, but the cool vibe kept us there for a few hours. The vintage building looked great on the outside. The big brick building looked like there was some history behind those doors. We walked into a dark room with two levels, a big bar flanking one side of the room and a stage with a dancefloor. I could tell people have fun here. We snagged a small table and listened to the 4-piece band while sipping on an ice-cold beer. The bartender Chris was fantastic. He got busy but never forgot us. There was a popcorn machine which was great, but I was hoping for a meal or at least an appetizer, since I had just gotten off work. It does have the word PUB in it's name. Oh well, the music kept us too busy all night to think about food. The place seems as though it has gotten a facelift. It looks restored not renovated. Everything was super clean, which is always a good thing. I really enjoyed my night at The House Pub and would definitely stop in again the next time I am in town.

Employees truly make or break a business, and the staff here actually cares about the customer experience. That's what makes places like this last. Great drinks, a good rotation on draft, and the apps are must-haves--croquetas and fried plantains are our go-to every time. Beyond pool, they've got shuffleboard and darts, which makes this the perfect spot when other places are packed. They're always finding ways to hype the atmosphere too, whether it's bringing in a DJ or hosting tournaments. Definitely a go-to spot when you want good vibes, good food, and solid service.
