    Wisconsin Cheese curds
    Masha K.

I've came here a handful of times. Highest quality burgers in the tri cities - attentive service, rowdy (but fun) ambiance, and would absolutely recommend trying the cheese curds, they melt in your mouth! Unlike any other cheese curds I've had before. Fries can be hit or miss, sometimes super fresh, sometimes not so much. Worth it regardless.

We enjoy Dukes because of the great customer service and the variety of bar food. They even serve huge shrimp cocktail. Theres a little bit for everyone. I always order their Cobb salad that doesn't disappoint. It's a Wisconsin bar which for some is really exciting. Below is the flatbread, Cobb salad and soup. Yet to come are the brats.

Came to this bar with a rustic atmosphere in St. Charles. Duke's Northwoods is great for drinks as well as cheese curds and other junk food. It has that classic Wisconsin feel you'll know if ever been camping there. Has the basic drinks and eats. There's not a whole lot that isn't meaty. A cramped interior actually feeling like a cabin. It's always crowded as a result. The bar is in the middle and it takes up most of the space. A ton of liquors to choose from. There's also tons of beers, and of course they have Leinenkugel's. Also a few craft beers from that state up north to choose from. It's about $9 for whiskey. Has some that are a lot more. The food is pretty divy bar type of stuff. It's about $5 on appetizers. These include the cheese curds and tater tots. Entrees are meaty. The Smash Burger is probably the favorite of most people. Great Outdoors atmosphere just like the movie with John Candy. It's likely you'll also see fat men here, maybe not eating a gristly steak, as the entrees also consist of burgers, walleye, and leaner meats. They're open later on weekends.

Oddly enough I only have pictures of their funny signs in the bathroom BUT I've been here many times and it's a must for me! Each time it's just been drinks but recently a group of us had dinner and it was very good! Food recommendations: Brat bites, sliders, fries pickles (they're like thin crispy chips!), any burger, the patty melt. Can't wait to be back!

SO MUCH CHRISTMAS!!! Still :) We ordered The Brat Bites and Wedge salad to share before splitting a pork tenderloin sandwich. The Brat Bites are very good and even better without the batter (can't go wrong with Ream's brats). The wedge was crispy, wonderfulness with the perfect toppings. NOW, FOR THE MAIN EVENT!! The tenderloin was near 11x11, lightly breaded, and cooked just right. They know which condiments and vegs to top it with too. I AM NOT KIDDING.....4 people could have shared (comes with some nice fries). We still brought half home. The server split the meal for us and added a bun and toppings at no charge.

Ever want to go out for breakfast but don't want that much food or to pay a fortune? Duke's Northwoods breakfast sandwich is pretty incredible & was our solution. Made on a homemade English muffin, generous slices of bacon and perfectly executed eggs. Their tots were so good, I didn't ask for ketchup. Anyhow, we were here for a bargain brunch (sandwich is $10), but also their coffee is honestly better than 9/10 dedicated breakfast spots in the tri-cities. Extremely good value for breakfast. The ambiance is a cozy Midwestern version of an Irish pub, you feel at home. The staff is super friendly & the service is incredible. Can't wait to go here again for lunch/dinner!

Great service. We love the ambiance here- definitely great for Wisconsin fans but the tvs are frequently showing a variety of sports/games. My girls love that they serve Sprechers root beer (a Wisconsin brand). Great bar food options but lots of other items as well. Am hoping to check out their patio dining this summer

We entered the sports bar around 5pm. It was extremely loud. We were seated right away. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. The appetizers almost beat the non alcoholic drinks to the table. I loved the Wisconsin Northwoods decor! We had the cheese curds and brat bites. Being the cheese curds connisuir that I am, I rate these very high! Light tasty breading made the cheese the hero, as it should be. The brat bites were also good, made with local meat market brats. We finished the apps and waited, waited, waited....15min turned to twenty. I had to give our server the stink eye to get his attention. We ordered dinner. The food came out in a timely manner. Many of us ordered the Famous Pork Tenderloin sandwich. That was a plate of schnitzel!! Enough to feed a family of 4 and delicious! My German heritage on a plate. The smashed fingerling potatoes were also a plus. I would have rated the food , 5 stars and the service 2. We were there over an hour and a half for sandwiches. Food is definitely worth a try!

We sat on the patio, they have shaded or sun and lots of tables. I had the Chardonnay and it was really good! We had the smoked salmon appetizer and the potato skewers. I'm not a fan of salmon, but with the sauce they provide, it was doable. The potatoes were so good, crispy on the outside, but they explode into creaminess when you bite them. We didn't have them this time, but the calamari appetizer is my favorite! We were having such a good time, we decided to stay for dinner. I had the Coq au vin and loved it. I usually get the Beef bourguignon because that is also really good. My husband had that and it did not disappoint. Service was great, as always! One of the best restaurants in Geneva.

It took a number of years but enterprising restauranteurs laid claim to appropriate buildings and neighborhoods opening places where you could actually get something interesting to eat. Hell, even BERWYN has a fine-dining joint (or 2)! The "3rd Street" corridor in Batavia is prima facie evidence this crusade is thriving, as there are a BUNCH of great places on that Rue to stuff your face in style, (and drink accordingly.) We've been working our way down the street; as I have been in the mood for French, Le Cochon was high on the list. It was late afternoon when I and a foodie pal of mine visited. The rooms were at once light, open and airy, yet personal. The bar was adjacent and it looked heroically stocked. The waiter was personable and pleasant. The menu shouted "Bistro", and actually was sort of irritating, 'cos even after poring over it online before, everything looked so good I couldn't make up my mind! But rules are rules, and I have mine. When I go into a place for the first time, I always try to get the specialty of the house. As this is a "bistro" I finally swung with the Escargot and Steak Frites. Cliche'd, I know, but c'est le cuisine. My pal bucked tradition and went with a Burger. I should say here the house is known for a Pork Belly dish, but Belly of Pork (unless it's cured into Bacon) is a protein I will not eat. There's not much I won't stuff down my gullet, but Pork Belly is one. I just don't like that much fat. The good news? More for YOU! But I digress... The 'Scargots were classic in prep and top-notch in quality. As expected there was a lagniappe course in sopping pieces of the excellent baguette provided from the bread service in the garlicky butter remaining after munching the snails. It was a Hanger Steak wot arrived on my plate replete with an herb-y compound butter. I ordered the steak "Rare-Bleu", and it was the perfect temp, even with serious char marking. The steak was chunk-cut when served. I blessed the chef for seasoning the steak deftly. The Frites came with ketchup and aioli, they were great. There was nothing out of the ordinary about my pals burger, but he IS a knowledgeable foodie and reported it was delicious. Burgers are pretty easy to do, but to get one of championship quality takes skill. Notable were the two rashers of excellent, thick Bacon hanging over the sides of the sandwich. The chef here hit the mark! The Predominantly French WineList is dizzying expensive for bottles. My pal is an experienced oenophile and says the list shows care, but Oy! the prices! He's a very successful businessman, and even HE thought the prices were high. In contrast, the "per glass" prices were normal. LeCochon IS in a posh neighborhood, after all. I had a glass of Rhône blend which was hand-in-glove with my steak. Flavors outasite! Fine coffee and a classic Crème Brûlée for afters. I know somewhere behind the bar they prolly had a Calvados, which would have topped the meal off with a gold ribbon, but I was driving, and there are many miles between LeCochon and Stately Breakwind Manor. A wonderful feed, and a surprisingly good value considering the high quality. I'll bet that "light and airy" vibe turns quite romantic after dark; but know the tables are actually quite cozy together. There are a few booths available-try to snarf one of those if you're on a date. Throwing 5 for this super boîte. Eat here soon!

When it comes to the food, most items on the menu can actually be made gluten-free, but they aren't marked on the menu and they do not offer a separate gluten-free menu. Our server did let us know right away that they were out of three of their entree items. For my meal, I started with the gluten-free soup which comes with gluten-free noodles, and it was really good. However, I didn't really like any of the remaining entrees they had left available, so I decided to order sides instead. The server mentioned that most of the sides are or can be made gluten-free. I chose the creamy mashed potatoes and the brussel sprouts, specifically requesting the sprouts without croutons. When the food arrived, the brussel sprouts unfortunately had croutons on them. I pointed it out to the server, and she immediately said she would have them remade for me. While I am very glad I caught the mistake before eating them, it is something to watch out for. Overall, the experience was mediocre.

The Birria egg rolls were a bit on the smaller side but made a big impression with its preparation. I've never had birria wrapped in anything as crispy as the wonton wrapper this was wrapped in. The birria was flavorful while being tender and not being too salty. The white cheddar and chihuahua cheese added a small amount of extra saltiness and a bit more fat, which matched well with the chipotle aiola. The duck poutine was incredibly flavorful, while sitting on the edge of potentially being too bold. The fries were incredibly crispy though there was quite a bit of gravy on the dish and the white cheddar cheese curds did a great job of keeping the entire dish hot throughout the meal, while adding a little bit of extra flavor. The bacon and onion added some umami though it almost made the dish a bit too salty and the duck confit added a nice protein element.
