We stopped here for dinner. The hostess was very friendly. The waitress was extremely attentive. Very cute atmosphere with a seasonal menu. After we were seated we were promptly brought waters. The waitress took our drink orders. Then brought us complimentary foccaccia bread with three toppings. the bread was very soft and was delicious. Depending on the type of dip used it changed the flavor profile. It was so good we asked for another few pieces. We opted for the aracini for appetizer. It was delicious. It was filled with cheese and prosciutto. It was the perfect start to dinner. My husband ordered the fish fry. He loved the sweet potato fries and he doesn't usually like them. They were excellent and converted my husband to like sweet potatoes. I ordered the tomato bisque Mac and cheese, somehow I blurted the photo and a side of jazz fries. The penne was cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing. The fries are very good, crispy and perfectly seasoned. We were way too full to try dessert.

Fast service. Very clean. fresh seafood. A little small inside, would go back in the summer to sit outside. Lava cake was not lava like. But over all apps and mains and service was fantastic!

The food was absolutely amazing. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was perfect size for dinner. It was not crowded at all and it felt very welcoming. I definitely definitely recommend this place for anybody. Who's looking for a nice dinner especially a date. The wine was amazing as well 10 out of 10 will eat again.

Usually I love Bad Apples Bistro when dining in, however I cannot vouch for their takeout fish fry on Friday nights. The (cod) fish was burnt into the styrofoam container. The sweet potato fries were soggy, and the very small portion of "coleslaw" was some type of peppery onion and apple mixture. I really wish the chef would revamp this dish! On the other hand, they used to have monthly food and wine pairing dinners that were fun!

I went with the rice bowl with portobello. It was delicious. It had picked vegetables, rice, pico and some sort of wasabi drizzle. I would have eaten another. We got an app that was pita, veggies and pita. The hummus was good and the pesto was very good the only down side is it could have had more pita as there was a lot of pesto hummus and roasted red pepper dip left. Staff was quick and chef was on top of her game I would suggest for anyone that is in the area. Stop in give it a try. I will come back and try some other meals. The ratio of chips to dip looked off but it was perfect. Personally, I thought the dip was under seasoned and light on the trout. The Chef came to our table to discuss his cuisine and we both left with our own opinions intact. The Featured - Friday Fish was the best Bouillabaisse I have tasted in years. While planning our dinner party months in advance, the communication from Janine was excellent. She helped us develop a 4-course menu that was sure to have something for everyone, including vegan and allergy friendly options. Amy was our server for the evening, and she ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our evening. The chairs in the Meyer's Den are wide and comfortable, the decor is dark and classy, and being in the basement away from the dining room made it very quiet and easy to converse with family. The room is rather spacious for 12 guests, but could also accommodate a few more people without feeling cramped. Out of the appetizers we selected, the Charred Octopus was very popular and everyone enjoyed it...even those that had never previously eaten octopus. The baby cauliflower dish was also a beautiful presentation, and quite large and enjoyable. The salads, particularly the Charred Hurricane salad, were nice light courses before the entree was served. As for the entrees, the filet mignon was a little on the dry side, but we really enjoyed the light and crispy spinach fritters that accompanied the beef. The salmon was a generous portion of medium rare fish, and there was lot going on with that dish - spicy cauliflower and za'atar potatoes that had some mixed reviews. Folks who ordered the duck breast seemed to enjoy the complex preparation, which had asparagus, green beans, and two pureed sauces - cauliflower ginger and cherry-rhubarb. The doughnut bread pudding with apple pieces and vanilla ice cream was a delicious, decadent way to end the meal. We left rather stuffed, and delighted with the overall experience that allowed our family to celebrate together.

Mexican food? Check. Teriyaki? Check. For me, it's pretty much what there is. So it's nice to go home, I grew up about a mile down the road from Spencerport Hots, back then, it was the pharmacy. I go home once a year, so I'm not able to get to Spencerport Hots more than that. I know I can consistently go there and get an excellent plate, burgers, dogs, or sausages, I'd be happy just about every time. The inside of Spencerport Hots is custom-made for Spencerport celebrating Spencerport high, and especially football. The inside in Spencerport Hots, is proudly painted in Spencerport colors and, is openly celebrated, which I absolutely love, you can always count on the game being on as well as the staff being on point every visit! Spencerport hots has worked its way to my agenda every single time I'm home! Which brings me to the only disappointing experience that I've ever had there. In my pictures are some great examples from my last couple visits! Burger and sausage plates are my preference. Typically getting french fries, or tots and Mac salad as my sides. On my recent visit, I decided to get some macaroni and cheese. Now, as I've said, there are several plates that I go to every visit. And I'm happy every single time. But, I don't know what the deal was with this macaroni and cheese. Maybe they ran out of supplies to make good stuff? Or, this was really their macaroni and cheese. I think I would be hard-pressed to say this was anything other than Kraft, or an equivalent store brand right out of the box. Say, I was disappointed in this macaroni and cheese, this is the only thing I've ever had there that wasn't great. This place really does matter to me, so I hope someone will read this and let me know if the macaroni and cheese I had that day was really what they offer as their macaroni and cheese. I did have Spencerport hots as a,full 5 star review... but this macaroni and cheese side either needs to have its game, upgraded severely, or may be taken off the menu. It's a very dark spot and an otherwise brilliant menu.

I finally had the opportunity to eat out at REDD for a friend's birthday a couple of weeks ago…read moreafter years of trying to come. I really have to say - for the most part, the wait was worth it. First and foremost, I have to call out their drink menu - while ultimately we came to enjoy a nice dinner, their cocktails were by far the biggest star of the show, with our entrees trailing very closely behind. If you like to partake in alcoholic beverages, I can say without a doubt these are the best cocktails I've had in Rochester, let alone all of Western NY, and this is even put up against drinks from the likes of Cure, Bitter Honey, and Avvino. I don't know if the bartender is just using higher quality spirits as a result of REDD being an upscale restaurant, but the "Burn after Reading", "Wise Guy", and Manhattan are some of the smoothest, most delicious, multi-noted drinks I've had in my entire life. If I don't come back for the food, I will absolutely be back for the drinks, because my goodness, abso-freaking-lutely phenomenal. My friends and I still talk about them now even weeks later. For our entrees we had the NY strip steak, grilled chicken, and a poached salmon, and every single piece of protein was cooked just perfectly. The steak was a beautiful warm medium rare, the chicken was glistening with succulent juiciness, and the poached salmon which I had for my main is one of the softest pieces of fish I've had in my life. It beautifully flaked away on a bed of potato puree and extremely well herbed and seasoned home fry-like potatoes that were ever-so-slightly just-undercooked intentionally to act as a perfect foil to the gorgeously soft puree and salmon itself. If I were to knock anything at all, the winter squash, turnip, and green vegetable medley that came with the chicken and steak was unfortunately far too undercooked for my liking, almost to the point of being completely raw, and while I appreciate letting vegetables sing and respect the beauty of raw, fresh vegetables, I was hoping for a little bit more of chef-y flair, seasoning, or even cooking of them. Besides that, the wait staff was simply top tier and were extremely inviting throughout the entire evening. We felt taken care of and checked up on often and they were the utmost professional. The only thing that was a true negative was the desserts -- if there's one thing I would NEVER order at REDD again, unfortunately our dessert missed the mark entirely. My best guess is due to lack of a pastry chef, but our chocolate tart was muddy and flavorless, not even tasting of chocolate, and the two homemade ice creams we tried - chocolate, and oatmeal followed in suit. We ultimately wrapped up at REDD but then ran down to Char Steak & Grill at the Strathallan for what ended up being a phenomenal dessert experience there. But overall, I have to say - I will definitely be back! The entrees were awesome, the cocktails were life-changing, and the ambience and wait staff were without fault. Thank you for a wonderful experience, REDD, and see you again soon!
