You have to understand what this place is to appreciate it. Korean style sashimi. Yes, they have some traditional sushi items. But if you want normal sashimi or sushi I would suggest going to a Japanese sushi joint. You'd probably get a better experience and food there. However, if you want Korean style sashimi... Cutting up of live flounder. Knife work is uniquely Korean. Comes with sesame leaves, garlic, peppers, etc. set menu also comes with many side dishes and soup. That's what this place does. Now, as to quality of the food it was fresh which is the most important when talking about raw fish. Side dishes were for most part passable. The wife who runs the front of the house was very nice and attentive. In Korean style if you need something you have to call her over but that's normal. She served the food promptly and got us everything we needed while giving us the privacy to converse. Ambiance is quite plain. Don't come here on your first date. But it was clean and comfortable. So, I rate this place 4 stars. Honestly in a competitive market like Seoul or Koreatown I would probably rate this place lower but if you want this kind of sashimi around Rowland Heights where else you gonna go.

My wife and I came for lunch, and we both ordered chirashi bowls. We thought that the fish tasted fresh, but for the price, you really do not get a lot of it. At least 1/4 to 1/3 of the bowl was filled with ginger, pickled red onion, and seaweed salad. The fish slices were very thin, and not what I would've expected at this price point. Overall, the service was good and the food was decent, but I felt like there was not great value here.

Oysters + the sashimi, incredibly fresh.

A very specific genre of a sashimi bar familiar to those that grew up in east Asia. Fresh sea food from the tank to the table, think market place sushi. The Uni is brought in twice a week from Santa Barbara, according to the owner lady that served our uni up super fresh. There was 0 bitter after taste and it's likely the freshest uni I've ever consumed. Melt in your mouth sea butter. We whipped some up in a bowl of sushi rice with chop sticks and made ourselves a kind of uni risotto, it was spectacular. This place seats about 40 people max , a gem of a whole in a wall, Mom n pop sushi / sashimi joint. 5 bright stars.

Ordered the tuna crispy rice and caterpillar roll and both were delicious! No one was here when I went which made me sad because the food is so good. Go try this place asap! Cute little quaint restaurant with fast and nice service.

Everything here is really tasty, the uni is super duper fresh. I didn't expected much at first but the freshness of the uni is 10/10. We order the Bada boat too, the quality, taste and the look of the rolls is so good. Quick service, maybe because that day not busy. But the sever really took care for us. Love the music and the atmosphere. 100 for the experience!!!

    Miso Soup

Miso soup was yummy. So was the sushi, it was only 8 count but they were a good size so were filling. Scallops and the spicy tuna are good choices.

Large portions for a fair price. The 6 piece tuna had very large pieces of tuna for $30 And the uni bowl for $29 was flavorful. Located in a small strip mall

    Sashimi Bowl with "Drink"

Bada Sushi is one of the few, if not the only Sushi Restaurant that serves live fish n Rowland Heights area. Small, clean place with good selection of drinks. Owner is super friendly and serves up good food. Some consider this place to be pricey, but Bada does use good quality and live fish.

Sea urchin w/ rice, pickled vegetables, and fish roe. The sea urchin arrived a few hours ago and had a fresh umami flavor

The sushi is extremely fresh and service is excellent. I especially love the salmon and tuna, very creamy and fatty! Prices are reasonable, and the owners are the sweetest people ever, I always feel at home when I go there.

My husband and I are really seafood lovers. Every time I go there, the sashimi is fresh. And side dishes that comes with sashimi are delicious. The boss is kind and pays a lot of attention to food. I highly recommend it.

Very fresh sushi and sashimi with the friendliest servers and chef! You can tell the chef takes great delight in engaging with their customers and even take sake shots with them Overall a warm atmosphere and very well run small sushi establishment

Good sushi, good service, friendly people. Had the Toro Combo and the Aburi Sushi Combo, both good.

Seeing our friends only a couple of times a year called for this kind of birthday celebration. The highlight of the meal is the sukiyaki option. Before they even pour the broth, the server grills the initial cuts of Japanese A5 Wagyu right in front of you to flavor the pot. It is a fantastic presentation, and the meat melts in your mouth! The brisket was my Hubby's favorite! It truly does melt in your mouth! For the all-you-can-eat rounds, the A5 chuck ribeye and brisket are incredible, offering a perfect level of richness. Beyond the hot pot, the Diamond tier gives you access to premium sushi and specialty items. The A5 nigiri with foie gras and the uni toro bowl were exceptional and tasted incredibly fresh! Those were my personal favorite! They also have a great self-serve bar stocked with high-quality sauces, hot pot sides, prawns, scallops, and wagyu curry. We finished our lunch with their ice cream dessert, but the green tea ice cream didn't taste anything like green tea so I may opt for another flavor next time. The customer service was attentive throughout the night, ensuring our meat plates were constantly replenished during our 90-minute limit. I was relieved we had a waitress that was knowledgeable and helped us a whole lot with the process and the menu. Reservations -Using the Yelp reservation helped secure our spot in the event there were a lot of people that day. However there wasn't a wait when we showed up on this particular Sun at 11:30 am.

There were four of us, including my 6 year old nephew, and it turned out to be the ultimate family meal. Since it was my very first time experiencing hot pot, I wanted to go all out and try a bit of everything. So we ordered both the Wagyu Experience and the Mo-Mo Experience, which gave us access to all four delicious broth bases. While waiting for our main meat cuts to arrive at the table, we checked out the self serve area. Their savory Japanese curry is mouthwatering, and they had a cold noodle dish that was super tasty. I had to exert some serious self control not to fill up on the curry before the main event, but it was just so good. Once the meats arrived, my sister showed me how to cook them in the bubbling hot pot. Every single broth had its own unique, rich flavor profile, and every single one was delicious. The quality of the meat here is premium grade, and the marbling on the Wagyu beef was absolutely outstanding. I'd love to see where they source their meats because everything tasted ridiculously fresh, right along with the items at the veggie station where they offer over 20 different vegetables, noodles, and toppings. This place is also a major win for families. My nephew said he actually likes this place way better than Korean BBQ spots because smoke doesn't blow in his face! On top of that, I absolutely love that they offer a kids' achievement incentive for straight A students. It's such a wonderful touch for families. And I loved the ambiance with fun tunes playing throughout the restaurant. Just writing this review is making my mouth water thinking about the incredible food we had.
