    Iced Vietnamese coffee
    Rovingaile P.

The server was nice, but the iced Vietnamese coffee that I got didn't taste like traditional Vietnamese coffee. Something about the beans or roast used was quite different. I appreciate being able to adjust the sweetness though!

I really really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I only have sad things to say about their boba drinks. Their taro milk tea was clearly made from artificial mixes; taro flavors were not authentic at all. Their boba was not only undercooked so it was hard in the middle, but also flavorless (no sweetness or even the tapioca taste). My sip of my friend's classic milk tea gave me a similar experience. Watered down milk tea that neither had milk nor tea flavors unfortunately :( I do appreciate how they have alternative milk options but other than that, it was just not a good experience. Gave it an extra star because they have a cute decor and Asian snacks, plus the servers were nice and I wanted to support API restaurants. Might try their snacks later on, but definitely not their boba :/

Very cute little cafe. I got the Vietnamese coffee with boba. Was not overly sweet which was perfect! The service was pretty quick. The bbq pork bahn mi was amazing!!!!!! I will be back.

Super cute! We went on a Saturday morning around Noon. It was around the corner from our hotel. The iced coffee with strawberry milk and the peanut butter banana smoothie with almond milk were so good! It did take about 15 minutes to get our breakfast sandwiches. It was fairly busy, maybe 10 people inside and 2 working. Other than the wait, the sandwiches we got were really good! Bacon egg and cheese on a baguette and chicken egg and cheese on a croissant. They also had an assortment of food, snacks and clothing. Staff was very kind. 4 doors down from Bae Bae's kitchen.

Adorable little shop. Seriously, I'd come in just to stare at the decor. They have these whimsical umbrella ceiling displays that are so charming. They also have a wall with shelves of Asian snacks including chips, ramen, and candy. I didn't try their actual beverages so I can't really attest to that but their veggie banh mi sandwich kinda sucked tbh so that's why I knocked off a point. It was not authentic at all, doesn't even look anything like a banh mi. I'll still come back to grab a coffee next time though.

Super cute cafe downtown! Loved the decor and funky furniture. Checking out at the cashier kiosk was super easy and quick. I ordered a mango bubble tea with boba (~$5). Next stop: Bae Bae's Kitchen!!

I was happy as soon as I walked in the door! Adorable decor ! Always friendly! ..... and the food never disappoints! Bae Bae's was already a favorite of mine ..... and now the cafe Order yourself at the counter touchscreen display. Salads, don't forget to add your protein. Can't wait to try the smoothies next time! Thank you Bae Bae's for always providing delicious food, friendly service and adorable atmosphere!

Came in today to try the boba and was not disappointed! More of a to-go place as there isn't very much seating, but that's okay. Ambiance is fun, decorations are interesting, service was fast.

If you want to enjoy some delicious bubble tea for an affordable price in a relaxed and well decorated space, this is the place for you! Located in the downtown area of Pittsburgh, this cafe has a wide variety of hot and cold teas. I highly recommend the taro milk tea with tapioca!

    Decor is unique vibe

The ambiance is peaceful amidst a bustling city. There is seating at front of restaurant that has an open window to the street where you can people watch. It was close to our hotel so was our go to spot while we were in town for a volleyball tournament. Food is made to order so it's fresh, not warming under a light before you get it. Menu is viewed by scanning a QR code. They also have cute Asian food finds as well as a great ramen assortment. Reasonably priced.

Already patrons of their main location several times over finally decided to check out this more brunchy/small bites spot. Have tried the taro, Thai tea, and smoothies. Would say the taro would be one of the best. The Thai tea tends to be milked down. The smoothies are your standard good. Highly recommend trying the scallion pancakes. We had the Vietnamese lemongrass chicken and the pork belly. Great portion of meat & veggie filling, and fantastic for on-the-go. Great balance of savory and sweet paired with flaky flatbread. Good quick spot to go to for cafe/lighter fare.

Following the standard set by Bae Bae's restaurant, this cafe is adorably decorated and offers a great dining experience. The drinks are unique and it's amazing to have a boba spot downtown! Menu is pretty expensive, but comparable to the other specialty coffee and boba shops. Online ordering is very easy. I do wish that they were open earlier in the day. It's nice to have this spot for lunch or an afternoon coffee break, but I would love to be able to stop by before work in the mornings.

We were incredibly excited to hear that the long awaited Bae Baes Cafe is finally open! We promptly rushed over in the freezing cold a little before lunch go beat the potential crowd that would be showing up. Upon arrival, it's hard not to spend more than a few minutes looking around at the unique interior that pulls themes from Alice and Wonderland. The setup is very interesting - there's a single tablet that you place your order your order on with all the customizations available, pay, and then wait for your food/drinks. Great for the especially introverted like me! I opted for a chicken bahn mi and a Thai iced tea with boba, ordered to go. After 5-10 minutes, our food was handed to us and we were on our way. The Thai ice tea was amazing, $4 for a large cup of Thai iced tea in downtown?! Yes please! The boba were perfect as well and a tiny bit smaller in size than most other boba shops, but they definitely loaded up the drinks with boba! The Chicken Bahn Mi was great as well! The sauces inside were delicious, plentiful pickled veggies, and very fresh ingredients! Would love if the bread was slightly crispier on the outside but overall incredibly delicious. So great having a bahn mi place downtown! Suggestions: - Would love to see an online version of the Cafe menu available along with any daily specials (I'm sure this is in the works) - When ordering to-go Bahn Mi's, it would be nice if the entire sandwich was wrapped up in the foil rather than leaving one end open. We had to carry our sandwiches upright and that end was noticeably colder than the rest of the sandwich that was wrapped up! - Maybe some more general descriptions of some items would make ordering a little easier. For example one of the milk options I saw for drinks was "Bae's Blend" but was unsure what that actually was, and no one was near the ordering tablet for me to ask. - Online ordering would be a huge plus as well! Absolutely can't wait to come back time and time again!!

After walking around the neighborhood, this one had seating, so we went inside. First, I'll say the coffee we tried was pretty good - a cappuccino and a brown sugar cinnamon latte. The barista asked "for here or to go" and the drinks still came in a paper cup anyway despite us saying "for here". I really enjoy having a coffee in an actual glass/mug when I say "for here". The ambiance was a bit confusing... not really sure what they were going for in the space, things were a bit choppy and thrown together. Kinda felt like you were in someone's garage with cluttered items on rickety shelves behind the counter. Our barista was very nice, but an awkward moment occurred when they were ringing us up - barista asked for a tip but then told us not to put the tip on the credit card because the owner steals from them. We felt this was a little uncomfortable and gave some unwelcoming energy. We also tried a Nutella croissant, which was very good! I think this shop has a lot of potential with some changes to service and decor.

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

The sever did recognize this and offered to heat it up after the fact; which made it perfect. All of the baked goods were perfectly wrapped or garnished.
