Hanshin Pocha Irvine is good! I had a great experience. The servers were attentive and quick with getting our order in. I came here on a Saturday night and had a lot of fun with my friends. We ordered the chicken feet, cheese and chicken, and kimchi fried rice. All super tasty! I would come here again.

Tried new items this time- seafood pancake and the squid/pork bulgogi The seafood pancake is heavyyy on chives and very light on batter. It's a lot smaller than other seafood pancakes I've had so I probably won't get it again here. But still tasty. The squid and pork bulgogi was yummy though! Wish there was more squid and pork but it was pretty heavy on the cabbage. Service is good/standard and ambiance is still nice! Will still return to try more dishes!

First time at Hanshin and it was a great experience! We had a group of around ~12 people and were celebrating one of our friend's birthdays. They give the birthday person a free soju bottle and the only requirement is that you take a photo/video of them drinking and post it on your social media! Food was also great and I liked the combos that they offered. We got Combo A which had the spicy chicken feet (it was pretty spicy) and then also added on a tofu soup. Service was fast and friendly, and they came to check on us often. Overall had a good experience and would come back again!

I ordered Stir fried Udon with Brisket and vegetables. My dish was delicious and flavorful. The service was amazing. Ambiance was nice and clean. I loved the music playing in the background while dining here. Highly recommend.

Hanshin Pocha is a fun spot in Irvine for Korean food and beer. The ambiance and decor is probably the best part. The menu has a lot of good options to choose from too. I usually end up ordering one of the fried chicken options. Price point is reasonable, food quality is good, and service is A-OK. If you're in the area, I'd say this place is definitely worth checking out, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way for it.

I come here to get tasty korean dishes and drink soju late into the night. I always get the fried squid and the egg omelet, plus whatever else looks good to me. I will keep coming back.

Always a good time at Hanshin Pocha! Fun for late night bites, come with a big group to try everything here! I love the diy rice ball here, it's so simple but fun and interactive, goes well with everything else we ordered too. Would recommend the pork cheese and chicken too, along with the apricot Saero soju. Thank you to our server Sean for making sure we have a good time here every visit! Amazing service alwayz

Great pocha in Irvine! This place is very neat and orderly, one of the cleanest pochas I've ever been to. We were seated and served relatively quickly. The food was delicious even while sober! We got the Gochu Maneul chicken and whole grilled squid. The chicken has an exceptionally crispy outer and was packed with a lot of flavor. The squid was good, nothing special to note. Seems like this place has large seating capacity. I would highly recommend this place for those in the area looking to have a quick bite or host a late night get-together!

Absolutely loved this place! Everything we ordered was so good. The spicy chicken feet were super Hot ! Loved it. The Korean fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and covered in a delicious sweet and spicy sauce. The cheesy ramen was probably one of my favorites -- creamy, spicy, cheesy, and so comforting. The rice ball with seaweed and mayo was also the perfect thing to eat with the spicy dishes. Portions were great for sharing, and everything came out looking and tasting amazing. Definitely a great spot if you love Korean comfort food and spicy food. We'll definitely be coming back!

Really good Korean food! Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The portions were generous, and the food came out hot and well prepared. I especially loved the flavors and side dishes. Definitely a great spot for Korean food, and I'll be coming back again!

The food was delicious, and everything arrived quickly. It's a great place to go for a large group.

Came to Hanshin Pocha for late night drinks and bites and it is such a cozy spot with a fun, laid-back vibe that's perfect for hanging out with friends. A bonus that there's always quick service here too, our first dish came out within 7 minutes of ordering. We ordered a few dishes to share. The Seafood chive pancake had great flavor, but not as crispy as I was hoping. It leaned a bit mushy in texture. The Stir-fried udon with brisket noodles were bouncy and chewy, which I loved. Super satisfying. The Gochu Maneul chicken was crispy with a nice tart marinade that really stood out. My only wish is that they offered just wings or drumsticks instead of a whole chopped chicken. The Pork and squid bulgogi stir fry tasted spicy and packed with flavor, with generous portions of pork and squid. It was delicious but wish it weren't soaked in oil. Overall, a solid late-night Korean pocha experience. Great spot for drinks, shareable plates, and catching up. Would come back for the vibes and that chicken.

Came here a second time for a late-night meal, and it delivered again. I always love Korean bar food, the lively atmosphere and group-friendly vibe make it a great spot to hang out. Service was excellent; the servers checked in often for water and napkins, and they even threw in a free bottle of soju, which was a nice surprise. Food: Sweet & Spicy Chicken - I was expecting wings, but it came out as a whole chicken! It was incredibly crispy, and the sauce paired perfectly with it. The chicken stayed crispy throughout the night, and the sauce wasn't overly sweet or spicy, which I really appreciated. Pork & Squid Bulgogi - This was the star of the night. Super flavorful with a great char and smoky flavor on the cabbage, onions, pork, and squid. Everything was coated in a rich sauce, and it all came together really well. Everyone in our group agreed this was the best dish of the night. Beef Tofu Soup - A solid tofu soup with a good amount of tofu and beef. My only wish is that it came with rice since it's served as just the soup. Kimchi Fried Rice - Unfortunately, this was the only miss. I loved the presentation with the melted cheese, but the flavor fell flat. It lacked that distinct kimchi taste I was expecting. Overall, will be coming back. I love Korean bar/food spots and finally don't have to drive to garden grove for one !

They have tons of parking in this shopping center. They share it with TONS of other places. One of my BFFs saw this on an Instagram video and wanted to check it out. *They do take reservations When we came in we checked in with one of the waitresses. She said she would seat us in a minute. To be honest, she did forget about us. A waiter walked up to us and asked us what was going on (we were standing there for around 7 - 10 minutes) and we told him we had a reservation for the speakeasy. He immediately apologized and sat us. This camp themed speakeasy has a couple booths. It's on the smaller sides. Which, speakeasy's are usually small to begin with. I did not get the waitresses name, my friend and I were busy catching up. The waitress was nice, but not attentive. I will say service was a 2/5. However, the actual restaurant, cozy pine is located in, was packed because of the World Cup being on TV. So I definitely was not going to complain The food Our food order did come out extremely FAST. Faster than our drink orders. -the campfire guacamole -BBQ shoestring fries (had bbq seasoning all over them so it tasted like a BBQ potato chip) -Glamping plate (charcuterie board) -steak tacos (one without onion and cilantro -churro affogato Again, the food was VERY fast!! And to be honest it wasn't that bad. I'll say, speakeasy's usually shine in the drink department vs food. Drinks -Lycheed and Loaded Ketel One, lychee liqueur, lemon, elderflower. This was extremely delicious! If you don't like to taste your alcohol? Go with this. It was really refreshing. Hand this to me at a spa and I'd be the happiest gal in the world -Camp Anawanna $17 Graham cracker-infused bourbon, licor 43, chocolate, torched marshmallow (the waitress catches the marshmallow on fire at the table) This one was stronger and I didn't think it was overly sweet despite the ingredients I think they had a good selection, especially for a small speakeasy. I have been to better, so I don't think I'd return. Especially since the service was not that great. We still had a good time and recommend for every speakeasy lovers list.

When you go thru the sliding doors it immediately transports you to a different time and place. Its very dark. Sleek. And modern. Yet simple. I love the big screen tvs with areal views of New York. It just made it feel like we were in a high rise building or a blimp with a birds eye view of many of New Yorks beautiful landmarks. The couches were extremely comfortable too. Great cushion. You just sink into them. Its a small area but great utilization of the space, making it seem large and spacious. The chairs too were really comfortable to sit in. We spent 3 hours in there and it flew by so quickly. The ambiance and feel here was just truly top notch. Our waitress was Brandy, or is it Brandi? She was super cool. She was a one person crew. Basically getting orders, making drinks, cleaning tables, and checking in on us. And she did it with great charisma, attitude and personality. Super knowledgeable about the menu. Made great drinks quickly. And was just super personable. Great job from her!! Her attitude and demeanor really matched the top tier aura they were going for here. They have a great selection of drinks. From more alcohol forward drinks to light and fruity drinks to refreshing drinks. I really did enjoy their drink selections. We had a total of about 6 drinks and they were all really good! We got there: 1. Fox's wedding- light, seeet and refreshing. I love the origami piece that Brandy put on it as well. Looked so beauitful. 2. Guava chiffon pancake- it was tropical, light but also had a coconut feel to it. It was really good. 3. The Monroe- this was light but tart, but not too tart. Silky with fruit forward notes. 4. Miso honey butter corn- rarely is a savory cocktail good. But this one was pretty good. The butter fat washed burbon was super intriguing. But it works well 5. When pigs fly- came with a paper airplane on top!! Haha. Love the playfulness. But the drink was so complex yet smooth. It was really good. For the bourbon drinkers, this one is for you! 6. Smoked Old Fashion- presentation is amazing. Comes in a big glass case that has cherry wood smoke inside. When you open it, you get that intense smell of burning cherry wood. Drink is smokey but in a very good way. Tasted amazing. A true classic done right. Their food menu is very encompassing and thorough as well. From full on burgers, to flat breads, to appetizers and small bites, to salads. They have a little of everything!! We ordered the following: 1. Pub nachos- this was an extremely large plate of loaded nachos. Super crunchy and fresh. I loved the generous amount of Chipotle chicken on top. The pepper jack queso sauce and jalapeño crema was a really good sauce. It just binded everything together. The beans and the fresh jalapeño just really all worked together. It was super good. Kept you grazing and munching away, but never becoming too full (more room for their drinks!!). 2. Figgy piggy flat bread- it was ok. Sweet caramel onions and fig jam, paired with some pungent cheeses. I thought it was pretty good. 3. Shrimp street tacos- 1 order comes with 2 tacos. They were good sizes. I love their tacos. So flaverful. Everything works together. Just tasted amazing!! Overall everything about this place is 5 stars. The ambiance, the decor, the exclusivity. The service. The drinks and the food. As i said 3 hours went by so fast!! Definitely a must try when in the area. And when you stay at the Marriott, its just a simple walk back to your room. And we left feeling happy and amazing. Thank you very much Brandy!!

Lets try this again since I had my original review removed…read more The night was going great. We just had dinner near by and decided get drinks here. We've been here a few times before and always thought it was decent. So, we made the last minute reservation online and got here 15 minutes early. When we arrived, there was a short line, but per the reservation instructions, one of my friends went in to check in while we waited outside. Friend: Hi, I'm checking in for a reservation. Bartender: What time is your reservation. Friend: 10 Bartender: What time is it now? Friend: 9:45 Bartender: Then I'll see you at 10pm. Friend came back annoyed and explained what happened. The bartender didn't say it in a joking way, but with attitude and annoyance. Most staff would respond "Thank you for checking in, we will let you know when your table is available." We weren't going to let this ruin our night, so we waited and were seated by the hostess. The bar itself is dimly lit and very tight. The music was loud enough that we had to almost yell to hear each other. The waiter came by soon after and was extremely friendly. We said we'd been here a few times before, but it's been a while. He refreshes our memory by saying they specialize making variations of classics. They want customers to focus on the flavors and that's why the menu doesn't list the spirit in their drinks. Also, they only make drinks on the menu because their drinks are prebatched/premade. We ask for recommendations which he was happy to give. We each order a drink and a snack for the table. As we're talking (very loudly so we can hear each other), we lose track of time before we realize that it's been 20 minutes and we haven't gotten our drinks yet. For something that's prebatched, it shouldn't take long. Before we can flag down the waiter, he comes by and apologizes that they lost our order and had to put it back in. We appreciate the honesty and say it's no problem. 5 minutes later, our drinks and food arrives. He again apologizes for the wait and has a second order of our food that he's including for free. Honestly we were ok with just the apology, but extra food too? Hell yea. Sounds like it was turning around. The drinks were okay. Not amazing, but definitely above average 3.8 / 5. The snack, bread and butter, were surprisingly good. 4.5 / 5 When we asked for the check, the waiter brought the credit card reader and told us we can swipe our card any time and left it on our table. We look at the bill and realize the waiter not only gave us the 2nd snack for free, but comp'd 2 of the drinks also. We all agree this waiter is GREAT. So why the 2 stars? Well first let me say, I would leave it at 1 star, but the waiter definitely earned them another. We wanted to pay cash, so we waited for him to come back. Instead, the original rude bartender comes by and realizes we haven't paid yet. We ask if we can pay with cash. He explains that they don't accept cash. Friend: Are you sure? *Proceeds to try to insert cash into the chip reader slot* Bartender: You're pretty stupid, aren't you? Friend: Maybe if I swipe it instead *Doubles down and proceeds to swipe the cash through the magnetic strip reader* Bartender: Wow, you really are stupid. My friend is a 100% a goofball and having fun with the bartender. It was OBVIOUS that he was joking. Was it funny? A little. Was it stupid? 100%. But for the bartender or ANY customer service staff to call a paying customer "stupid", that's simply unacceptable. We're all pretty pissed at this point and simply swipe the card and the bartender leaves. As I said earlier, we've come here a few times. We don't live especially close, but when we're in the area, we would always consider coming here. Now, there's no chance. For any business, even if your drinks and food are great, customer service can easily DESTROY your experience and that's exactly what the bartender did. Note to the male bartender with no hair: You really shouldn't be interacting with customers. You were rude from the start and have no sense of humor. Could you be having a bad day? Sure, but that's not an excuse to be rude to customers. I know management saw my original post because it was removed, probably because I referred to the bartender by his hairstyle multiple times. If they rather remove my post than deal with their bartender, that's another sign to avoid this place.
