    Galbitang

Ordered via DoorDash and wasn't sure what was included with the galbitang but was pleasantly surprised upon delivery! I didn't realize I ordered a whole feast. Everything came packaged very nicely! The galbitang order included multiple containers: - rice - noodles - main dish with 3 ribs - kimchi - kimchi radish - fish cakes - sauce Such a great deal! The broth was very tasty and exactly what I was craving. Would order again!

Best korean cold noodles ever! This is my second time going here and it's never disappoint! I felt sorry for them because when i order #18 it wasn't the one in the picture and they had to change it for me but overall good service here. for sure will come back!!

I love this authentic Korean spot in Irvine. They're known for their seollengtang, and for good reason. We ordered: * Seollengtang * Combo C (seollengtang + bulgogi) The broth is incredibly clean, rich, and comforting you can tell it's been simmered for a long time. Super delicious and deeply nourishing. Everything here is consistently good. I've had their cold noodles, which are super refreshing, and their dumplings, which are very solid as well. The banchan (side dishes) are simple but pack so much flavor, which I really appreciate. They also serve barley tea with the meal, which is a nice touch and great for digestion. The restaurant is very clean, the staff is super nice, and the ambience is cozy and welcoming. You can tell they truly know what they're doing here. If you're craving authentic Korean comfort food, this spot is a must-try. Definitely check them out!

Place was very tiny with a low ceiling. Service was okay. Beef bone broth soup and donkatsu was average, nothing special. There was not a lot of side dishes either.

The restaurant was not that big and had authentic Korean food. There were only 2 servers so you have to be patient. That being said, I had to flag them down whenever I needed anything but that's how it is in most Asian establishment. The food itself was good. I wanted a side of white rice but they ran out and gave me their purple rice which tasted just fine.

I won't be ordering from Seoul Haus any longer unfortunately. I ordered the donkatsu today and it came uncooked and incorrectly battered. Definitely inedible, a health risk and a safety issue. I got my refund through door dash so that was settled. When I called just to let them know their food was sent out uncooked, the lady working spoke to me like a child as if I was complaining. I called to just to let the restaurant know in case someone gets sick in the future. I asked her why she's being rude and she asked what I wanted from her when she didn't make the food. She could've represented this business better. There was no concern for health or safety. She acted like I was causing a problem by letting her know this information and was very dismissive.

Located in a small plaza with fairly easy parking to find during Saturday lunch. The interior is small, and when we went at lunchtime on Saturday, it was quite packed. Our group of 11 had to sit outside at two separate tables. We ordered the galbijim, katsu, and LA galbi. The food tasted a bit different from other Korean restaurants--less sweet overall.

got #1 the original oxtail soup and comes with rice. it's really good! i think $18 for a huge bowl is worth it and the sides were good too. it's a small shop in irvine that got popular through a tiktok so now it gets pretty crowded. the tiktok compared it to bcd but i think it's pretty different. bcd sells hot stone soup, but this one is more like noodle broth. it's more similar to tang n tang or yuk dae jang imo. its authentic and you can control the saltiness and flavor yourself by adding in salt and green onions. overall recommend if you're looking for a casual, warm, brothy meal.

I got their bugolki. It was pretty good. The meat was very juicy. I would say it's more like a burger patty, but with higher-quality beef. The portion was plenty for one person, with a little extra to share. I would say the meat is a tad greasy, though not too bad overall. It's not too sweet either, so I can eat it by itself. I'll definitely try this dish again. The inside was pretty casual with pretty fast service.

Great Place! Nice environment, so scent of the food is amazing! The "Korean spicy soft tofu soup" was delicious! I really loved the taste of the tofu! I ordered a bunch of fish cake (It Tastes Outstanding) and the service was kind to give me more. Recommended to come to this place. Fine prices and service!

It's been so long since my last review so I wanted to do an update. Seoul Haus is known for their authentic Korean comfort food. I came here for lunch on the weekend and it wasn't very busy. It was perfect for that rainy day though because I got their popular oxtail Sul Lung Tang which came with your preferred noodles. I got the glass noodles which was perfect. It was delicious. I also got to try their Octopus Hot Pot which was rice in a stone hot pot with some very well seasoned and cooked baby octopus. It's a must get if you love octopus. We enjoyed all our food. The banchan that came out was also all good and delicious. Besides what we got they also have other types of stone pot dishes and other soups. Pricing is about $20 a dish. They do have combo lunches as well. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food came fairly quickly. The inside of this place is smaller and casual. It's great for smaller groups.

Cold Noodle and Bulgoki Combo Dinner
    Karen T.

Came here for an early dinner on Saturday and was seated right away. The interior was small and there were two outdoor tables. I order Combo A and my friend order Combo E. Everything got to our table promptly and was super hot (except the cold noodles of course). Everything was delicious! The cold noodles were really refreshing and the bulgoki was super flavorful. I tried my friend's sul long tang and it was really good as well. A lot of other restaurant's sul long tang are really bland but not this one. I'll definitely be coming back again when I'm in the mood for some good soup again.

    Amy T.

I really wanted to love this place but it just didn't impress me. The banchan selection was okay, I liked the fish cake but the kimchi was too soft and sour for my liking. The beef in the yuk gae jang was very chewy and I wish there were more vegetables. The texture of the knife cut noodles was very good though. The bulgoki tasted like a dry hamburger, i've never had a hamburger textured bulgoki before. The sulungtang was a good simple dish, the texture of the meat was soft and tender. I came on a Saturday night and was seated immediately but service was not very consistent. The cold noodles look good though, I would return in the summer to try it.

We finally gave it a shot today. We ordered the steamed pork belly, cold noodles, and the galbi soup. The food was very good. My mom was quite happy with the cold noodles and my kids consumed every drop of the galbi soup. My dad and I had the steamed pork belly and we agreed that it was pretty good. The part I want to really emphasize was the service. The young man that took care of us was very attentive and most importantly, treated my kids so well. He provided them with all their usual needs like plastic silverware, extra bowls for soup, and even offered extra soup when he saw that they devoured the galbi soup. He went out of his way to give them some BTS Edition Oreos and little bags with stickers in them. I am always very grateful anytime people take care to treat my kids well. There was only one server but he was great and would constantly come and tell us if the stew was ready or to refill banchans.

The food is consistently solid, the banchan is a standout, and the whole experience always feels fun and easy. I tried the raw marinated crab for the first time here, and it was so flavorful and honestly tasted amazing. It is definitely a little messy to eat, but I would absolutely order it again. The short ribs are usually my go-to and were great as usual. I will say BCD Tofu House probably has them beat when it comes to LA galbi specifically, but these still hit the spot. The bulgogi was also a solid addition to the table. One of my favorite parts of coming here is the banchan. The sides always taste super fresh, feel a little more unique than the usual lineup, and seem to change depending on the season or what they are featuring. The mac salad and japchae are always favorites for me, and you really cannot go wrong with the kimchi or cucumber kimchi either. Service is consistently quick, easy, and attentive. This isn't the place for trendy fusion dishes or flashy presentation; it's all about hearty Korean comfort food that feels especially satisfying on a cold day. My go-to Korean dishes are Yukgaejang and Bossam. The spicy beef soup is usually my benchmark for any Korean restaurant. Tang 190's version delivered everything I look for: a rich, deeply flavored broth with a satisfying level of spice and plenty of tender beef throughout. It's the kind of soup that keeps me coming back. This last visit, I finally got to try their pork and kimchi platter. The pork itself was tender and enjoyable, but I wasn't a fan of the cabbage. Instead of being lightly pickled with salt, it had been fermented to the point where it resembled white kimchi. I've actually never seen it made like this before. I definitely prefer the fresher, crisper flavor profile to pair with the pork and radish, so this preparation didn't quite work. Service was efficient, and the meal arrived quickly. On any other day, it's usually a 5 star visit, but the bossam preparation was a huge miss for me. While prices have crept up over the years, Tang 190 still does what it does best: serving comforting, no-frills Korean food that consistently hits the spot.

I have always really liked this restaurant, which is why today's experience was especially disappointing. Unfortunately, what happened today was truly awful. From the beginning, our server appeared visibly impatient. When we repeated a couple of dish names to make sure the order was correct, she began speaking to us in an unnecessarily loud and irritated tone. Her voice was loud enough that another employee noticed the situation and offered to take over the order. Instead of accepting the help professionally, our server responded that the other employee would not be able to understand what she had written in Korean. When the other employee later asked her to repeat our order, she read it back very loudly and with obvious anger. The entire restaurant could hear her, and the experience made our whole family feel embarrassed and extremely uncomfortable, especially since we had children with us. Later, she seemed to realize that her behavior had affected us. She brought us a noodle dish "on the house" and briefly said sorry. While we appreciated the gesture, it did not undo the way we were treated in front of the entire restaurant. My question is: if you knew your behavior required an apology afterward, why treat customers that way in the first place? Customers should not be made to feel like an inconvenience simply because they are dining with a larger group or placing a larger order. We came to enjoy a family meal, not to be spoken to with hostility and publicly embarrassed. Unfortunately, this experience completely overshadowed the food.
