After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

Well, he told me none of my vents were screened, told me all the covers on my less than year old home were plastic. Fortunately I had my home inspection for my 1-yr warranty the following week so I decided to wait to see what the inspector said so I could have the builder cure anything possible. Absolutely zero evidence of anything having been in my attic, zero entry points. Inspector confirmed the covers on the vents are metal and not plastic and that every single vent is already screened. I'm not sure what the guy from A-Tex saw but I trust my inspector more. Just to be safe I had another estimate from a pest company done and they confirmed what my inspector said. Very disappointed and confused about what feels now like a scare tactic with this company. I've never experienced a critter situation before so I felt trusting but now I know to get a second opinion for stuff like this always. I'm sure they help people but my personal experience will keep me from considering them again in the future.

Allan was very responsive throughout the entire process, and was available to discuss services with him 15 minutes after submitting. Pricing and payment was transparent and a smooth process. The inspection report was very thorough with pictures and written in terms I could understand. Allan checked items I wouldn't have even considered and made several ongoing maintenance suggestions. He used a drone to inspect the roof, thermal cameras to inspect HVAC and insulation, electrical outlets, water systems, appliances, etc. Discovered several items I wouldn't have noticed (or at least not until they became serious issues). I felt as if Allan was inspecting the house from the perspective he was going to buy it himself, and left no stone unturned. Highly recommend DLB Check.

After thoroughly cleaning inside he let me know what was going on. It turns out the builder installed a grate on the roof where the damper is, and there was a complete clog and fire hazard! He cleaned everything diligently and was so thorough, showing me photos and letting me know what to look for in the future. I'll be having Lady Bird out every year moving forward for duct cleaning! I was a case-study in how NOT to maintain my dryer duct: It had been almost 20 years since it had been cleaned. We bought a new drier, which shut down due to restricted air flow. I had had a competitor come out the day before Omer's visit; while friendly, all they had was a hand-operated floppy brush more suited to HVAC ducts. They had no luck, and suggested I just move the dryer out to the garage and put in a new duct! Omer arrived with 2 different cameras, and a range of stiff brushes which he worked with his drill, in very tight spaces, and was finally able to dislodge what must have been a 10#, soaking wet mass of lint. He installed an upgraded flexible duct and a new outside duct cover, and cleaned everything up. I've learned my lesson: call Lady Bird out annually, and request Omer!
