I'm surprised at how low the rating is here because I've visited two days in a row and I've really enjoyed my bagels! I went savory yesterday with the Spicy Sunrise (scrambled eggs with jalapenos, hot roast beef, pepper jack cheese, hash brown, and jalapeno ranch on an everything bagel) and went sweet today (French toast bagel with Oreo cream cheese) and both were delicious. Bagels were soft and fluffy, and the fillings were flavorful. The staff was really friendly both days and the guy who helped me decide which sweet combo to get today was so nice. Bagel nook is definitely the place to go if you like flavored cream cheese, flavored bagels, and baked goods (doughnuts, muffins). They have tons of flavors of CC such as cannoli, bacon cheddar, cookie monster & more. For the fall season, I tried the pumpkin bagel with the pumpkin CC. It was amazing- the cc was the perfect combo of pumpkin and cc it wasn't so overpowering. Although, I was disappointed with the presentation compared to other photos I've seen online. They made it extremely messy with cc coming out of the sides the minute I touched the bagel I had cc all over my hand. On the other hand, the cannoli doughnut is so delicious. The cannoli cream is absolutely incredible. I would rate it 11/10. The bacon egg & cheese bagel was good, but definitely not the best that I've ever had. They definitely don't make a "thick" or "full" BEC. I'd highly recommend getting flavored cream cheeses and flavored bagels here!!! This was the most stressful and unpleasant bagel breakfast ever. My son and I decided to start our Saturday late, and I was excited to bring him to The Bagel Nook for the first time. As a huge bagel fan, I knew he'd love their unique cream cheese selection, but unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. I admit it was my mistake not checking their hours before visiting. When we arrived, I noticed half of the spreads were already being put away. Concerned they might be closing, I asked the employee who was putting the spreads away about their closing time. She curtly replied, "Soon! At 3," and added that she didn't even know the current time. I checked the time and told her it was 2:25 PM, but her unwelcoming tone immediately soured the experience. Despite this, I didn't want to ruin my son's visit, so we stayed. When we approached the cashier, I asked for a menu, but the cashier simply showed me a QR code without offering any assistance. Feeling rushed and unwelcome, we quickly ordered our usual bagel order, but it wasn't what we had originally came in for. Still wanting to try a specialty bagel and spread, I turned to the only employee who acknowledged us and showed genuine courtesy. Her name was A***a, and she kindly helped us choose a bagel and spread pairing. She even served our food with a smile, which was refreshing amidst the otherwise unfriendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff lacked basic customer service skills. The cashier who rang us up didn't greet us, didn't use common courtesies, didn't ask if we wanted a receipt, and didn't even tell us whether to take a seat or wait for the food. We decided to sit at the best available table, which was dirty, so we cleaned it ourselves. While eating, the first employee we encountered loudly complained, "I don't want to keep doing this shit," while scooping and grabbing cream cheese with her gloved hand, chunks of cheese sticking to it. It was unappetizing to listen to and watch while trying to enjoy our meal. To make matters worse, another employee behind the counter, where food is handled, received a bagel off the floor with her bare hands from a visiting "friend" who had picked it up from the dining area. This was definitely a hygiene concern as a customer. To be clear, I didn't see her handle food afterward, but I also didn't see her wash her hands. Who know! Shortly after, that same employee came into the dining area and began spraying all the glass windows with Windex (at least 6-8 sprays), filling the space with a strong chemical smell. At this point, I could no longer try to enjoy my food and asked A***a for to-go containers, which she kindly provided. As I packed up to leave, I overheard these same employees (all females) laughing and talking loudly, most likely about my situation. They seemed entertained, as they all stared at me, smirked, and one even made a loud comment to the others as I walked out. Feeling disrespected and mocked, I went back to thank A***a for her excellent customer service and told her that the rest of the staff's customer service was unacceptable. I also let her know I'd be writing a review. Management, please consider hiring more employees like A***a or retraining your current staff. Customers deserve to feel welcomed and respected, regardless of when they visit. Perhaps your business doesn't need new customers, and your employees clearly don't care if we return or not, but you still want you to know about the disappointing 15-minute experience we had at your Bagel Nook. While the food was good, the rude and unprofessional atmosphere completely overshadowed it. Unfortunately, we won't be returning or recommending The Bagel Nook. read more

Showed up around 2. Sign says cash after 1-3pm. That's fine... doors locked. If they are broken id think that someone would open it for me since I was clearly having trouble. Tried opening both doors at least 3 times each while the girls just watched. If its closed POST IT! Don't have an open sign and not have the doors open. Whether you crave a normal bagel with BEC, or a crazy shaped bagel with a fun cream cheese option, Bagel Nook is the place! I've been a few times and always come for their seasonally colored bagels. I've had a pumpkin shaped bagel with scallion cream cheese and a tie dyed bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. Their pumpkin shaped bagel tastes more artificial than their normal shaped bagels so I'm not sure if I'll opt for a crazy shaped bagel again, however they do get me in the spirit! The bagels are textured nice and chewy with a soft dough on the inside. They always provide ample cream cheese and they pack their BEC very nicely with ample portions. They also sell donuts, other pastries, and delicious looking breakfast options like French toast and pancakes which I'd like to someday try. I'm not really interested in their crazy flavors of cream cheese (like the Cookie Monster cream cheese for example) but they are there for more adventurous cream cheese tasters! Came here on a Saturday morning, so there was a line (as expected), with the place filled with a large number of kids, which makes sense with all the crazy sweet flavors available. They have ~4-5 tables with seating for four, so grab one if you can! My group of four split a few different bagels so we could try more and determine who would come back. Gimmicky overpriced bagels They look fairly good but didnt taste that fantastic, especially for the price. For over $7 a bagel (overload), I expected much more. Firstly the term "overload" may be overly generous, especially for the fruity pebble. It had some strawberries as well as cream cheese but I would hardly call it stuffed. The oreo one was more substantial. Also I can't understand how to justify the price. The oreo bagel was basically a fairly regular tasting bagel with some oreos in it. Alright to start.... I know Instagram brought you to this spot. GREAT!!! Welp looks don't do the flavor justice. This place is 90 minutes from my house in Queens, NY, all good I love food!! Pull up and it's in a nice little quaint shopping center, right by Jackson Premium Outlets. Being the far drive and it's not an easy come back I had to get two bagels. I got a blueberry crumb bagel with crumb cake cream cheese. WOAHHHHH..... entermanns who?!?!? This thing packed flavor!!!!! I mean sweet tooth crusheddddd. The crumb on crumb cream cheese with real crumbs on and in this thing made it really over the top!!!! You'll see the pictures but you need the taste explosion. The second bagel was a cannoli French toast bagel with fruity pebble cream cheese.... sounds weird I know but I had to try the cream cheese. I come from a very italian area with cannolis that are on point I can't even go anywhere else.... the topping on the French toast bagel cannoli cream was fantastic, rivaling some in my hood. With that the French toast bagel really hit it on the mark with the cannoli cream. The fruit pebble cream cheese was delicious I mean put it on anything it will be phenomenal. The bagel was truly so good with the cannoli cream I wouldn't even cream cheese the thing again. My girlfriend housed down a s'mores bagel, that's right babe I seen you!!!! Said it was top notch too and also although the cream cheese is amazing the bagels solo would be just as good. So maybe go one each way when you come here . So I hate to say it but don't worry it's not the worst thing but I have one complaint.... the bagels are topped with cannoli cream or melted marshmellows or whatever it may have, they wrap them in parchment paper so it ruins your top (which I literally just ate off the parchment paper anyway but) you'll see in the pics. Not that my word means anything but they make the plastic sandwhich containers a lot of delis use that would be perfect to fix this issue. I actually feel bad for people in NJ believing this bagel store is good. This is the worst bagel store ever. Not my first time here just my first review. Went in recently at 215 asked for a bagel with cream cheese and bacon and their grill was closed. If you're so lame that your store closes at 3 at least keep your grill open until closing so no bacon. Next visit, same order, however on a roll, no rolls left. Next visit, same order but added an egg, when I tell you minuscule amount of becc you could barely see it- all bread. NJ people do yourselves a favor and take a trip over the bridge and ruin your bagel experience in nj for yourselves for life. You'd be amazed. I moved from NY to NJ 3 yrs ago and cannot believe NJ has been suffering thru these bagels for so long. And I may add the store is quite skeevy. This Saturday morning, I went to the Bagel Nook in Freehold for delicious bagels. I ordered 6 bagels and two containers of cream cheese. Paid and I waited. While waiting, I observed 6 different individuals behind the counter. Three were working very and busy. Three (two female one male) were actively engaged behind the cash register talking in a very animated manner. I was wondering if my order was being taken care of and asked if my order was in any of the paper bags on the counter in front of me. I was informed by one of the three working that they are working on my order currently. Then a colorful bagel dropped to the floor right in front of one of three engage in animated talk. The one female saw this put her right foot on it and then stood up and made sure that the bagel was fully flattened. She then took her foot off and kicked it down the floor between the grill and the glass food enclosure. I don't know about anyone else, but I understand that when things are not busy you may want to talk amongst your co-workers. But there seemed to me a severe lack of management and lack of desire to assist customers by the three and there was no management managing. I found this scene and was completely turned off that this was allowed and that a bagel was stepped then kicked down the galley cooking area. Quite something. I will not be returning to this establishment because I found the lack of management and the people who represent bagel hook to be quite offensive in multiple ways. 1. They ignore customers. 2. The lack of care given to dropped food. 3. Overall care regarding food management and the area where food is touched and cooked. 4. The lack of desire to work when one is at work was quite clear here. 5. The lack of management and supervision of what was going on gave me pause to think that there may be other things that are being possibly neglected. Went to the Bagel Nook right before work, I got a vanilla muffin and a avocado blast on sesame. The muffin was overall decent but the top was extremely sweet and made my teeth hurt when I ate it, the rest was fine. After reading about this bagel place in a "best places" for breakfast article, we finally got around to trying this place out. I was excited after seeing all the crazy creations posted by others. It is conveniently located inside a strip mall, with an italian bakery, frutta bowls, pizza place, and a stop and shop (to name a few). We arrived around 11 with a few people in front of us. We found looking at the digital menu to be a bit tedious as there were 4-5 tv screens that would flip between the menu and an advertisement. I honestly was getting annoyed by the fact that they would have their menus do that. After a while, we just gave up and grabbed a paper menu. We weren't able to find the pricing on their bagels and had to ask the cashier. They ranged from a little over $1 to around $3, depending on the craziness of the bagel. We decided to order 2 of their bagel overloads - the oreo overload and the elvis overload. We also ordered the southwestern omelet, western omelet, chicken fingers and fries, and the wrecker truck sandwich. The oreo overload was made with an Oreo bagel, with Oreo cream cheese, and Oreo cookies in the middle. It sounds really sweet but it was actually just right. It was quite tasty and something that I really enjoyed. The Elvis overload was made with a french toast bagel, with peanut butter swirl cream cheeses, freshly sliced bananas and crispy bacon in the middle. The combination sounds a bit wild and not something that I would normally gravitate towards. The French toast bagel is always a favorite and the peanut butter cream cheese was amazing! All together though with everything else, I found it to be too heavy for my liking. I guess that's why they call it an overload! Highly recommend the chicken fingers as they were crispy on the outside but still very juicy on the inside. The omelets came with home fries and a side of toast. Nothing special about this. The wrecker sandwich consisted of cheesesteak, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, bacon. Very very good sandwich! Lastly, the reason I gave this place only 2 stars is due to the fact that they had forgotten our bagel orders as well as our toasts in both our omelet orders. After ordering, we were to wait outside and they would bring our orders to us. We did check our order before we left and was able to retrieve our bagels but we failed to catch the missing toasts. Seeing that they were not that busy and they had numerous staff working, we were very disappointed. with their service. Did not yet try one of the crazy bagels or spreads; figure I go with something classic to see what's up so of course, went to the Taylor ham egg and cheese on a bagel which was pretty good. Not the best, not the worst. I'll say, I think it's a little overpriced, however, it was good. That said, 4 stars because in my bag when I got to my desk, the sandwich I ordered was in there plus a bagel with cream cheese. Not sure if it was a mistake but, it was def a good thing! Visited this nook on my birthday after an early morning walk at the beach. This was my first time trying this place and they didn't disappoint. The place was busy with pick up orders. We waited about 10-15 minutes before we could get our order. We ordered threw different bagels - - Cheetos flaming hot w/hot ranch cream cheese - Jalapeno cheddar w/ghost pepper cream cheese - Cinnamon toast crunch w/ oreo cream cheese I'm personally not a fan of sweet bagels however the cinnamon toast crunch was indeed good.
