I ordered the New York steak and eggs for breakfast. The steak was cooked properly, and the eggs were also appropriately prepared. The hash brown was satisfactory; although not perfect, it was acceptable overall. If I were to assign a rating from one to ten, I would give it a 7.5. Would I recommend it? Absolutely.

Wanted to try something new in SCV and Mama's Table did not disappoint! My husband and I were immediately greeting with the warmest welcome and were seated immediately upon arrival. Food was amazing, the gravy here is delicious and coffee is consistently being refilled. Definitely consider stopping by if you're looking for a warm welcoming dining experience!

Great casual food place. Medium sized restaurant. Great for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Excellent service, good food. Food is simple and prepared well. Ambiance is casual yet extremely clean and updated. Indoor seating with several outdoor eating tables. There was no wait. Just walked in and was immediately seated.

This is a by far my favorite traditional breakfast place. Our breakfast plates came out quickly. The service was good. The waitress was attentive and made sure we didn't need anything.

After a disastrous weekend in the greater LA area with a funeral, bad hotels and then a worse hotel, we were happy to be heading north on Interstate 5 an headed back to Washington. After we cleared the Burbank area we decided to stop for a sit-down breakfast. Out came the cell phone and the Yelp App! With The Wife deftly weaving her way through Los Angeles traffic I got to work finding the perfect place. I bypassed the chains; we wanted something off the interstate. I spied Mama's Table. It was only about three miles off the interstate. I hit "directions" within the Yelp App, and it guided us to a cute little strip mall, and there it was. We walked in and were told to pick our own seat. The Indy 500 was delayed but they were still on the air waiting so we picked a table by the television that had it on. Menus were delivered in seconds, and we started hunting for our breakfast. The wait staff were so nice, and very attentive. We ordered after The Wife's coffee arrived; she loved the coffee. She ordered a two-egg breakfast with home fries, sourdough toast and bacon. I went with the meat-lovers omelet, hash browns, a biscuit and a side of gravy. The food arrived quickly, and I was happy to see they toasted the biscuit, not many places do that. The gravy was savory with lots of herbs and I spread it over the biscuits and the hash browns. It was gone way too soon. The Wife had high compliments for the home fries and the preparation of the eggs and bacon. It was so nice to get out of the car and sit-down and take a breather before facing Memorial Day weekend traffic. Mama's Table is on my radar for whenever I am heading to Los Angeles, and I highly suggest you give it a try.

Super dry French toast that they pre cook and keep in the warmers which dry's them out. When I told the waiter she responded with next time order them soft. Are you kidding me!!!!!!!! Since when do I need to say medium when I order French toast. The potatoes were also from a frozen bag. I was very disappointed with this place. Will never go back.

Plenty of comfortable outdoor seating for our beautiful Santa Clarita days!

Come on in and enjoy Mama's Table. We did! Rightly named, feels like we're served like family by Mama! We came in with our grandkids, 2 and 6 year olds. A Party of 7, we all enjoyed our time together and the food couldn't be better. They gave us everything we needed and asked for and all with a smile. Admittedly, we're a bit raucous, but it feels like our server just loved having us there and enjoyed seeing us having a good time together. How sweet! Hubby's chicken fried steak was tender with real homemade gravy. My eggs florentine came just the way I like it, no English muffins and lavished with a double portion of their great homemade hollandaise. Kids were thrilled with their happy face pancakes and bacon. As we were leaving I noticed their well appointed and expansive outdoor seating area. Mama's table has been highly recommended to us by our family. So glad we finally made it and looking forward to going back!

We visited on a Sunday morning . You sit yourself when you enter. Service was friendly and attentive. We ordered a breakfast burrito and French toast combo which were both good. Great price for your everyday classic breakfast. The workers seemed to have good relationships with the patrons which was nice to see

A friend recommended coming here so we met up with a group on Saturday morning. First impression of this place was 'home cooking' and it was apparent that there were a lot of regulars here. I personally ordered the eggs Benedict and it was delicious. My husband got the French toast and was satisfied. Everything is definitely fast paced and prices were decent. The service was good but due to the volume of people, the servers didn't linger at all. It's worth a second visit.

Some of our longtime favorites there were the chili, chili spaghetti, French dip, and chicken fried steak, which is why this visit was especially disappointing. The chili spaghetti recipe has clearly changed. The flavor now feels very bland and lifeless compared to before. I also ordered the French dip and the meat was dry and tough. Overall, the food quality just doesn't seem to match what this café was previously known for. It also feels like the restaurant is moving away from its original café identity and shifting toward more of a Hispanic/Latin-style menu. Nothing wrong with that direction if done well, but longtime customers like us who enjoyed the original menu and flavors we're very much you kidding me running too fast disappointed by the changes. Based on our experience with two dishes that used to be favorites of ours, we honestly have no desire to come back and try the other items we once enjoyed, including the chicken fried steak. The experience left us expecting that many of the other recipes have likely changed as well, and that the same flavor and quality we used to love is no longer there. Lastly, prices have increased and the environment felt very dead which adds to the disappointment.

The diner has a fascinating history, with Otto Lindsel bringing his lumberjack cooking skills to Southern California in the 1970s, particularly known for his enormous pancakes. Unfortunately, the food was rather average and failed to impress. What truly dampened my experience was the peculiar and somewhat tiresome service from the waitstaff. Upon being promptly seated, the hostess quickly brought me the beverage I requested, which was a good start. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. When my brother arrived and we were discussing what to order, we noticed that our server was nowhere to be found. This was surprising, especially considering there was only one other family in the diner at the time. After waiting for about 6 minutes, we flagged down another server, who informed us that he wasn't our assigned waiter but offered to take our order. His demeanor was unusually formal, and the whole interaction left us feeling perplexed. We wondered if it was inappropriate to seek assistance from another server. It was an unnecessarily uncomfortable situation. When our food finally arrived, it was brought to us with little enthusiasm, and after that, we barely saw our server. She didn't check in with us even once to see if we needed anything else, which, in my opinion, is basic restaurant etiquette. After we finished our meal, we had to signal her again just to get the check, and by this point, the lack of attention was frustrating. The service did not warrant the standard 15% tip, so I adjusted the tip accordingly. The awkward encounters and lack of attention soured the meal for us. As we left, we couldn't help but discuss how strange the whole experience was, we were being treated as second-class citizens. Unfortunately, this visit will be my last to Crazy Otto's Diner. Next time, I'll be opting for Saugus Cafe instead.

It seemed as though there were about 10-12 tables inside, and all the employees work with one another to wait on the tables. We showed up around 10:45am on a Saturday morning, and to our surprise there was no wait. We were sat immediately and ordered a cappuccino and Arnold Palmer to drink. Then, I ordered the Salmon Benny with home potatoes, while my partner ordered the Churro waffle combo. It did take about half an hour to get our food, but it was well worth how fresh everything tasted. My salmon benny came on an everything bagel with cream cheese, and the salmon was served cold (in a delicious/ good way, not like it was frozen. I just wanted to make a note of this because usually when eating a salmon benedict the salmon gets warm from the temperature of the english muffin and egg). Then, the home potatoes had onions, and bell peppers and I kept commenting on how fresh the bell peppers tasted. My partner had the churro waffle with eggs, sausage and bacon. They really nailed the churro flavor of the waffle. Both our plates were completely devoured with no leftovers to take home. For our two drinks, two entrees (and the added combo to the churro waffle) it ended up being $53, which we found to be extremely reasonable for the quality, portion size, and service provided. The only thing I would mention was the parking lot gets a little crowded. They share a parking lot with the other stores in the plaza, and there were several spots open only because there were a lot of bigger cars who were over the line.
