I'm not really sure how I've lived in the area for the last five years, and today was the day I first tried Neighbarista. I sure was missing out! This is the perfect little brunch spot. It seemed as though there were about 10-12 tables inside, and all the employees work with one another to wait on the tables. We showed up around 10:45am on a Saturday morning, and to our surprise there was no wait. We were sat immediately and ordered a cappuccino and Arnold Palmer to drink. Then, I ordered the Salmon Benny with home potatoes, while my partner ordered the Churro waffle combo. It did take about half an hour to get our food, but it was well worth how fresh everything tasted. My salmon benny came on an everything bagel with cream cheese, and the salmon was served cold (in a delicious/ good way, not like it was frozen. I just wanted to make a note of this because usually when eating a salmon benedict the salmon gets warm from the temperature of the english muffin and egg). Then, the home potatoes had onions, and bell peppers and I kept commenting on how fresh the bell peppers tasted. My partner had the churro waffle with eggs, sausage and bacon. They really nailed the churro flavor of the waffle. Both our plates were completely devoured with no leftovers to take home. For our two drinks, two entrees (and the added combo to the churro waffle) it ended up being $53, which we found to be extremely reasonable for the quality, portion size, and service provided. The only thing I would mention was the parking lot gets a little crowded. They share a parking lot with the other stores in the plaza, and there were several spots open only because there were a lot of bigger cars who were over the line. No fault to the restaurant itself, just something to be aware of. read more

My sister and I came here because we came across a review from a social media influencer. (I know, that is the first mistake.) She ordered a loco moco which was offered for a limited time and she raved about it. They didn't have loco moco but I saw a pork belly bowl and figured if they did the Hawaiian breakfast right, they should get this one right too. Nope. It was heavily sauced pork belly over wet white rice and an egg ontop. Even though there was sauce on it, the flavor was lacking. My sister ordered chilaquiles and the beans were hard. Service was friendly but to regulars. They were friendly to us but the service was slow because they socialized with other tables. I don't have anything against it. I love seeing servers socialize with their patrons. I just wished I had a good dish to distract me from looking at my time. So though I was influenced to come in here, I am here to deinfluence you from getting the pork belly bowl and chilaquiles. (I don't know if they offered these dishes any more because I am writing about this months after my visit.) I would stick to their classic breakfast dishes. They looked good. read more

Came by here for breakfast while visiting from out of town. We arrived on a Saturday morning around 9:00am and were able to be seated right away. The service was quick, and our server was promptly ready to take our order. I had a fairly basic order of scrambled eggs, sausage, and a side of breakfast potatoes. I also had a coffee which was piping hot and came with refills. Our food came within 10 minutes, which was fast given how busy the restaurant was. The restaurant had a homey and intimate vibe - it definitely felt like a staple spot for many locals. Service wise they were very very nice, it did take them awhile to get our food. It does say on the menu certain items you order can take longer for them to prepare. It has become our every Saturday stop after going to the Newhall farmers market (another stop on our "not enough stars" tour). Since changing my eating habits and cutting so many former staples out of my diet, I find that places that I can go to and get delicious protein and vegetable for meals are worthy of going to regularly. And Neighbarista satisfies beyond measure. My usuals are the Denver omelette or the ham steak and eggs. Always perfectly prepared and delicious. If I was eating potatoes and bread, I'd crush it because their potatoes are so good. And yes, on my occasional cheat days, I DO order the eggs Benedict and have not at all been disappointed. It was apparently a one time issue. And the pastries. I have to look away when my wife gets one because they are SOOOO good. Fresh and delicious. I miss them. Can't recite this place without mentioning Kim, Chris , and the rest of the amazing staff. Special nod to Joelle, who treats us like family, and Graciela, who always greets us with a smile. Loved the chicken and churro waffles!!! I thought it was gonna be too sweet, but it wasn't. I chose this dish because they gave me a variety of the true waffle and the chicken. Upgrading the waffle cost $3.50. The chicken was freshly fried with a moist piece of chicken breast. I thought the chicken breast was going to be dry on the contrary. I'd actually get this again. It was so good. This restaurant is a hidden gem for locals and non-locals. Came here a month ago and had a craving to come back again today. Let me start by saying that the environment here is so welcoming! We only waited 25 minutes for our table and had a kind waiter. As someone who considers themselves a snob when it comes to breakfast burritos, I will say that the premium breakfast burrito was a good choice. The toasted cheese on the outside adds a wonderful touch. The ingredients in the burrito were balanced where I was able to taste the potatoes, cheese, eggs, and sausage equally. I also had to try their churro waffle and it did not disappoint. It tasted as if I was eating a homemade churro with a perfect amount of powdered cinnamon sugar on top. My wife and I went to Santa Clarita to do some furniture shopping for her birthday. After finding what we wanted, I asked Bruce at Discount Furniture where was a good breakfast spot around the area. He immediately said this spot and the French toast was amazing. We finally get to the restaurant and were greeted by the owner who was an absolute peach. We ordered the French breakfast, I got the steak and eggs. Almost all the staff have tattoos and had the warmest attitude while the restaurant had a comfy ambiance that you would expect from a small cozy diner. The food came out and it was better than we hoped for. The eggs were cooked perfectly, my steak was tender, juicy with just enough fat; everything was divine. Just on a whim I ordered a short stack of blueberry pancakes to go, but when they came out I HAD to take a few bites and the pancakes were perfection. The only downside? We did wait for almost 35-40 minutes. But so what? Quality is always worth waiting for. And if you can't wait that long for a damn good meal, go to another place. Not to mention...their bathrooms were impeccably clean, which is proof there is a heart and soul running this restaurant. Any spot that makes their OWN vanilla coffee creamer is one where you come back to for years, and the wife and I are looking forward to more visits to this place. I was really disappointed with my recent visit. My party was put on a waiting list and ended up waiting over 25 minutes to be seated, even though I could see four clean empty tables. What made the situation especially frustrating is that when two other guests arrived (who were white women), they were immediately seated. Given this and the fact that we were Latinos, it left me feeling that we were treated unfairly. I told them to forget about us, and no apologies were given. The restaurant has a pride flag in the window, which makes it even more disappointing that inclusivity doesn't seem to extend to all guests equally. Still one of my go to breakfast and lunch spots. Timing is the critical part as they are a very popular spot. For the first time I tried the huevos rancheros, however I had them omit the chorizo. It was delicious and very spicy. It is covered in jalepeno sauce with large pieces of jalapenos. If you are sensitive to hot spices, I suggest the sauce on the side, because it is very good and worth a try. My husband ordered bacon and eggs with home fries. I prefer hashbrowns. I have included our receipt for a glimpse of the cost. A 10% coupon can be found in the monthly Santa Clarita magazine. While we were waiting for our breakfast we heard something break in the kitchen. Our server let us know that the chef accidently dropped my breakfast plate. I appreciated her letting us know and we chose to have my husband's plate served right away so he could eat his while it was hot. I love the Intelligentsia coffee and the in house made mexican hot chocolate creamer. My hair salon is in this same shopping center so I always get a coffee to go whenever I have a hair appointment. This place is absolutely amazing, the breakfast burrito I had was bomb.com, all the ingredients and protein complemented each other, I had my burrito with bacon and sausage. My wife and a friend of hers tried this place out about a week ago and decided to share it with me. It's a very small and quaint little restaurant that is family owned and operated. We arrived and quickly realized that this place is extremely popular as we had to put our name on a waiting list. 35 minutes later, we were seated in a booth. The server arrived and took our order. The coffee came quickly, which was delicious, but unfortunately, our food took another 30 to 40 minutes to arrive. Was the place crowded? Yes. But that seemed a little long to be waiting for the food. That's the only reason why this place doesn't get five stars. My wife got the Florentine eggs Benedict while I got the California Benedict. Both of them were delicious. They were multiple menu items that seemed intriguing that I will definitely be returning to try. I went to try out a breakfast diner place after I left church on a Sunday morning. I have been to egg plantation, eggs n things and dennys/ihop for similarities. The place is small and crowded on the weekend. The wait to be seated was quick but unfortunately the seat available was in the middle instead of the comfy booth. Service was mediocre. It wasn't anything exciting. The prices for the breakfast or brunch items were higher than they were several years ago. The quantity was decent. But for 17$ for four sausages, two large grade AA eggs and French toast, it should have been cheaper. At least give pancakes, bacon and some hash browns to go along with it and an orange juice to boot and I can see value there, But it was not. I ordered a breakfast burrito which was filling and warm. The three condiments were sour cream, jalapeño sauce and a pico de gallo. It was not enough to complement the burrito but the burrito was tasty. One of the biggest problems was the wait time. I waited about 40 minutes for these two dishes that were not excellent nor good value. The coffee I tasted was watery and bland. Although I didn't put cream or sugar in the coffee, it was awful. I did get refills but I honestly didn't want one. I would not come on the weekend, small and slow. Overall, I was dissatisfied with the experience and if I would come back, maybe on a weekday at 6AM. It would be less crowded. Eggplantation, eggs n things and dennys/ihop are better. I don't even like dennys/ihop and i would prefer it over this experience I had today. Another problem I had was canola oil. The inflammatory oil and cage free eggs used are of low quality and a price of 17$ is a big markup for such ingredients. I expect pasture raised organic grass fed grade AA and olive/avocado oil instead. This is Aldi/walmart quality which is a poison to customers. Overall, it was not recommended in my opinion and nothing to be excited about. Was it worth a try? I guess so, there are much much worse places I have eaten at. read more

First let me say the staff is super friendly...when they are around. We were self seated and given menus. It was about 10 minutes before someone came by. When the food finally showed up, it was underwhelming. The biscuits and gravy were so salty they were inedible. The loco moco bowl at close to $18 was a huge disappointment. Only one beef paddy, a few tablespoons of gravy and under seasoned. The BLT was basic but the potato salad that came with it was basic boiled potatoes with watery mayo. Bad.
