I had same in Manhattan and the bagel cost me with extra cheese $6.25 and it was delicious. This bagel was fine. Soft inside and a slight crunch. It lacked the flavor taste of a good bagel. This is a small place and they give lots of personalized service. The proprietor is often there and is quite friendly too. Everything I've had there is good, and, unlike the place across the street, they put cream cheese on your bagel for you. Seems like a small thing, but I really like it and I go there whenever I am craving a bagel. Also: I love sesame bagels and the place across the street took them off their menu. But I only knew that because I went there when the Bagel Café was closed, and I always go to the Bagel Café if they are open. read more

My boyfriend and I found this spot online when I was searching for a nice bagel spot. I was also recommended by my cousin to stop by, so we decided to come in today. Everything about this cafe is amazing. From the atmosphere, to the friendly service, and the great food. They do a great job with recommending their favorites and the sandwiches are also a very reasonable price. If you do not see a certain option on their menu, they will go out of their way to accommodate it for you. We will definitely be back very soon! Bought 3 bagel sandwiches and one hash brown with 2 drinks spent nearly $45. The hash brown was nearly raw. The sandwiches were fine I guess. I don't recommend for the price as there are other places that are cheaper and better. The prices for the options purchased were not listed. The bag of food was given to me as the price was given. I am sorry you took this as an attack to you and the business. As a random person on the internet and your response shows the level of customer service people get to look forward to while dining at the establishment. I was looking forward to trying this place out. I went in on Mother's Day with my daughter ordered two bagel sandwiches with lox and grab two sodas from the cooler and my surprise. My total was $36. I took up the menu and the prices for the bagels with lox were, eight dollars. When I asked the girl the price difference she said it was because I added tomato and capers. The inside looked dirty, and the bagels were wrapped in plastic bags. The girl taking our order was extremely rubbery so I just decided to leave and call it a day. I was in a couple weeks ago, questioned the price of my food and was treated so disrespectfully I walked out. Ended up having my card charged anyway. After the way I was spoken to in the store I figured it was easier to just accept the $12 charge instead of fighting it. Taking it as a "live and learn" moment and will never go back. Certainly doesn't feel like a family the way they're talking to each other and to customers. The owner is very rude in-person and online, will attack any review that isn't positive. Can't wait to see what they say to this... Originally never left a review because I really don't like to disparage small businesses. but after seeing so many similar reviews I thought I should speak up as well. The workers were arguing very loudly. It seems like they were arguing about a sanitary issue? Not sure what it was about. But not a pleasant place to eat. The food was edible, but not great, and certainly not worth the price. The owners of this business are the rudest people I have ever met. They respond to all negative comments with uninstigated racial aggression, curses, and rude demeaning language. They will delete their comments after the fact. This is the second private message I have received from the owner, Mohan K. The first was VERY rude and proceeded with name calling. I posted it to show what kind of person runs this business and took it down after requested by Yelp. Three days ago, he messaged me again stating, "Dear Fu we are still here." - Owner, Mohan K Come on..lets not pretend we dont know what your abbreviation stands for. According to other reviews, it seems I am not the only one who the manager took the time to message privately about their public review. Came here to grab some breakfast this morning. Was greeted promptly. Nice selection of juices and other beverages as soon as you walk in. Also a nice size selection of bagels and toppings to make breakfast sandwiches. I had a plain bagel with plain cream cheese and it was good. My boyfriend's breakfast sandwich could have used more egg, he said. They have a small seating area if you prefer to dine-in. It was clean. My one gripe is that they don't have recycle receptacles. Really hope they are separating their trash from recyclables. If they are, a sign should be posted noting that. I'd come back! read more

Original Review: I'm sure this place is normally very nice and pleasant and the bagel I received was actually pretty good. The reason for my one star review is the way management (possibly the owner) treated his staff. I ordered a coffee and bagel from a lovely woman and proceeded to kill some time by sitting in their back seating area. About 40 minutes into my stay, management arrive clearly agitated and started yelling at the top of his lungs at the staff. It came to the point where the staff walked out on management and the manager asked me to leave as he had to close the store. I couldn't get the details of the argument, but in a service industry, it is NEVER excusable to yell at staff in front of customers and then take it out on the customers by kicking them out. Worst breakfast experience EVER! Updated Review: I appreciate the response to my review from the family that runs the bagel cafe and understand that I may have seen a family crisis spill out into public k viewing.
