WHAT KIND OF PERSON WOULD DO THIS? I went to the bagel cafe for a year at least 3 times a week. They knew me well. The owner saw me all the time. One day I was on my way to work and I had to go to the bathroom. I wasn't hungry and I was to far from my house to turn back. So I went in to the bagel cafe to use the bathroom. When I came out the owner saw me and as I was walking out the door he yelled, "hey what are you doing, you can't come in here to use bathroom". I went back to get a sandwich a couple of days later because I thought he was joking only to find that he wasn't. He scolded me for coming into his store to use the bathroom. What kind of person would not let a regular customer use his bathroom just because that one time they didn't buy anything? that is ridiculous. read more

I just called to place an order and told the man this was my first time ordering from this company and he told me to hurry up and place my order bcs he had a long line. I will never go to this place. I had a wonderful experience at Bagel Cafe. The owner was extremely friendly and the bagels were perfectly cooked. While the prices are a bit high, you get quality fresh bagels. After dropping off my son at MC3 early this AM, I was looking for my morning coffee and breakfast. Found this cozy spot and enjoyed a hot cup of coffee and a poppy bagel with lox spread. I went to this Cafe for a breakfast sandwich. While I was there the cashier / cook demonstrated poor customer service. She was rude to me by ignoring me while I was trying to get her attention. I also witnessed her touch raw bacon, cash register, and spatula all with the same gloves on. She also appeared to be very sad which made it an uninviting environment. I called the owner Raj to provide constructive feedback about my experience. He told me that she normally is a very happy employee, but today she was very sick and offered that as an explanation for her attitude. He invited me back to the store for a refund. Upon arriving back to the bagel cafe, the owner Raj, who is related to the cook / cashier screamed in my face, cursed me out, and told me I was never allowed back in the store. I was unsure why he reacted this way, but my best guess is that the employee misrepresented the interaction to her superior, Raj. Upon leaving the establishment Raj continued to lose his temper, curse me out, and make me feel very sad. Then he called the police after I left and filed a complaint about me! I am totally unsure why he did this, as I committed no crimes, and still just don't understand what he thought the police would do for him. No charges were filed and I believe Raj lost credibility in the neighborhood. If anything I should have filed a compliant about how he treated me and the unsanitary conditions. My advice for the future is to please eat at Dunkin Donuts a few doors down where they have corporate standards and a much more welcoming environment to eat breakfast. My advice to the owner Raj is to please treat your customers better. I will say that through my multiple interactions with the owner, Raj that most of the time he was pleasant to speak with. On this particular day it was an absolute nightmare and resulted with the police being called after I left. Eat at Dunkin Donut in same shopping center is the best advice I have, I've lived in the neighborhood for 20 years, never made a review before, but this experience definitely warranted one. read more

I love the Bagel Cafe!!!!!! I stop in weekly usually with my children for a quick breakfast and without fail we are always greeted with a friendly welcome, and as I'm leaving there is always a "Thank you!" The staff is very friendly. On the times I've gone without my children the staff always asks how my kids are and, from time to time, will give me their favorite bagels to take to them. The bagels are always fresh and the breakfast sandwiches are always freshly made. I highly recommend The Bagel Cafe and I'll be there next Saturday for my sausage, egg and cheese on a cinnamon raisin bagel!!!! read more

Store is supposed to open at 7:30. Here i am at 7:50 and it's still not opened. and this is not the first time i have been here after 7:30 and it's not open. I have given this business hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars worth of business over the last few years - having them cater for my work multiple times, etc. I came here this morning after opening time but the door was locked and it was 19 degrees out so I knocked to see if I could wait inside since my ride left. The owner very rudely yelled at me, threw her hands up in the air angrily, so of course I'm not spending my hard-earned money at their cafe. A simple "sorry were not open yet please have a seat" would've been fine! I've been very loyal so it's a shame I won't be going here anymore. read more

Been a longtime customer. Bagel sandwiches are pretty good. So long story short we were overcharged. The way this was handled by the proprietor was totally unprofessional and belligerent. She rummaged through my bag to see what I had ordered, throwing bagel sandwiches here and there. She then literally threw some bills at me. When I told her that it was only half of what I was owed, this is when the rage, yelling, and screaming started, in another language, in front of the other customers waiting in line. Clearly she was wrong. But even if I was the one wrong, you just don't treat another human this way, let alone your customer. As I was leaving, she managed to scream, "Next time you come back I will overcharge you." I managed to let her know that I won't be back. Such a shame since I want to support this small independent business but this will be the last time. If you do visit, make sure you check your receipt. read more

I've been going to this place for years and it's flip-flopped managers many times. The food has always been great and continues to be - I like to get a whole wheat bagel with egg cheese and tomato. It's not as fast as a fast food place but that's because they're making it fresh for you as you order it. The current staff and owners are really really nice and I appreciate that they thanked me for my business when I come in, because honestly I can choose to go many other places. I stop here 2 to 3 times a week, customer service is top notch. The bagels are fresh. I order a bacon and cheese and egg sandwich it great to see when they crack a egg on the grill you know it's fresh. As soon as I walk in they know my order and they remember not to cut it in half .
