My favorite bagel store in the area by far. It's so good that there is always a line (it moves very quick and that's a good thing), the bagel selection is awesome, egg sandwiches are a 10/10. I goto this spot every morning but this is the last time i go back unfortunately they keep making mistakes on orders that you wait 15 min for. Living on Long Island, there are so many bagel places to pick from in every shopping center and beyond. Without a doubt, bagel chalet has the best quality and tasting bagels, best açaí bowl I've ever had, and the fastest service, even on a Saturday morning. Im in and out in less than 5 minutes even when the line is out the door. I don't know how they do it but they never ever disappoint. Have to give credit where it's due! Just had a chicken cutlet sandwich delivered. Probably the worst I've ever had. Chicken cutlet sliced in half so only one side is breaded and completely soggy, breading was soggy and not crunchy. And literally put half the bottle of mayo on the sandwich. read more

Not sure if everyone knows about the "Too Good to Go" app on your phone. It is where a variety of merchants sell their day's leftovers instead of throwing them out. I have you used it at the Bagel Chalet before with out any issues. Last night was different.....yes, I must have gotten 15 bagels, but they were all as hard as a rock, flattened out, and all looked to be everything bagels, not a plain one in sight...basically just threw them out. Always a great way to start off my Sunday with a delicious bagel & fresh lox. Growing up in Brooklyn we had the best bagels ever. I'm glad we found Bagel Chalet. All the Chicken Salad & Tuna Salads are delicious. You can order a chopped Salad as well. It always crowded but the manage to move everyone in & out quickly. It's so worth the trip. I think you could legitimately argue, with a straight face, that this might be the best best deli on Long Island. When you walk in, you're taken aback by the smell of fresh, flavored coffees filling the place. You want to try them all because they just smell so darn good! Then you notice how clean, bright, and friendly the whole place is. A mountainous deli counter full of sandwiches, some of which you'd never even think to make. And there's a gigantic menu board with even more. I doubt there's anything you would ever want from a deli you can't get at Bagel Chalet. And what about the quality once it's on your plate? Beyond. Even the stuff you would think is an afterthought gets made with an eye toward making it taste as good as possible. I noticed the grilled chicken in my salad--ordinarily just something they make in a hurry and throw in--came with a smokey flavor, and was soft and juicy. And while I'm on the subject of salads, you can get literally any salad fixings you could imagine here. Foods you wouldn't think to put on a salad. Foods you've never heard of. They've got you covered. And the dressings are amazing, even something as basic as Italian just tastes like it's a step above. I would eat here every day if I could! read more

Walking into this establishment was so nice! Very clean and inviting, the decor is gorgeous! Friendly staff and the selection was extensive! It was so hard to decide what to get but we decided to just get the bagels this time. I got the Everything Egg bagel with butter (delicious!) but was $4 and the menu says $2.76+ so I wasn't sure why it was so expensive for just a bagel with butter. Janet got the French Toast bagel with cream and a light and sweet coffee. The French toast bagel was plain, didn't taste any cinnamon but the cream cheese and coffee were good. We will go back to try other things, there was a gorgeous pastry display we want to check out next time. read more

When we walked in, it was very difficult to understand the menu. I saw pre prepared things to order or you could build your own. The employee working quickly and abruptly helped us order. I had a blueberry bagel with ham egg & cheese. The bagel was a bit tough- didn't taste fresh. & the meat portion was so underwhelming it was crazy. But it was a decent sandwich. read more

Seriously... come here. This used to be one of my spots when I worked in the industrial park in Hauppauge. How we did it? I have no idea but always solid and always quick. Seriously... Bagel Chalet can have a line down towards the chopped salad station and somehow you zoom through. I'm not kidding. They're always fully staffed every time I'm there. My personal faves are the Maple Lover or the Express Cobb Wrap. If you're looking for solid lunch or breakfast get yourself to Bagel Chalet and thank me later. I want to love this place but it is seriously ridiculous how they never get an order correct. I have an easy order. Last time I got eggs and cheese on everything bagel and they add ketchup when I tell them no when they ask if I want salt, pepper or ketchup. Then today, I asked for eggs and cheese on a plain bagel, I got a roll instead. I really don't understand if they write stuff down how they can get the order wrong. Triple check your orders!!!!! My local bagel place was not delivering due to the Coronavirus. I tried Bagel Chalet and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered through Uber Eats, and Bagel Chalet's online menu was more convenient than most merchants, and was very specific. Any customizations that you would like to make to your order are made available. That way, you're not just typing in changes to your items. I have noticed in the past, that's how many vendors will make mistakes with your order. This way, you are simply specifying exactly what you want or do not want. This definitely streamlines your order and ensures accuracy. The food was prepared and provided to the third party driver in a timely fashion. When the food arrived, we were extremely satisfied. The order was well packed and included additional utensils, condiments and plenty of paper napkins.The Swiss cheese on the egg sandwiches was melted perfectly. The eggs were excellent, and prepared perfectly. Very nice job. Coffees were made exactly as requested, both hot and iced. Great overall experience. I will definitely order again from Bagel Chalet again, and when social distancing is lifted, I will happily go visit the store. read more

Best bagles in the island. The asiago bagle is out of this world and I'm crazy about strawberry cream cheese and theirs never disappoint.

Lately I've been coming up to New York from Texas every year and this time I really wanted to be cliche and get a bagel. I got their bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomatoes and onions and I think I'll be back a few more times this visit. The menu is huge and it all sounds amazing. The only somewhat negative thing was the mass amount of cream cheese, I think I'd ask for light cream cheese next time. All in all, thank you for existing. read more

Bagels are usually really good, fresh and soft. But today .... this catered breakfast ..... not so good. Scrambled eggs were overcooked and green. Bacon was soggy and not crispy.. and actually a little discolored looking. Potatoes were blah... slightly overcooked and mushy. Way too much pepper maybe the pepper shaker top fell off ? Mini pancakes were obviously frozen. Would recommend grabbing a bagel but anything else .... NAH! read more

The food quality here is excellent for a bagel place. This is more of a high end deli. Their portions are generous but is more on the pricey side but well worth it. Make sure to call in your order because this place is always packed, (unless odd hours) and you will wait on long lines. I recently came back to visit Long Island as my mom has talked so much about it and I would just like to say that this place is one of the best places I've ever visited. The workers are amazing such nice ladies! They made sure to keep a positive attitude even with all the busy energy around. This goes for the workers who prepare the food as well! if i could give less stars i would.... the last 3 orders have been wrong even though it's been an uber eats order WHERE EVERYTHING IS TYPED UP AND EASY TO READ so you physically can't mess up an order... however they managed to.
