This place's bagel are very unusual - the outside is crunchy like a cracker. And the inside is chewy but not like airy. The cream cheese was actually pretty good and feels like they put something. They don't toast bagels there

A small to-go place with quick service. The bagels were not good, very dense and chewy. They do not toast the bagels. The scallion cream cheese wasn't really heavy on the scallion and the lox was fine. The prices are similar to other bagel shops in the area, $12 for bagel with lox and cream cheese, $5 for sausage and egg on a bagel. Overall, there are definitely better bagel places in the neighborhood.

    Everything bagel with cream cheese.

The Bagel Hole (aptly named) is a local, hole in the wall, delicious spot for a grab and go bagel. No frills, no toaster, just good bagels. There can be a line out the door of the teeny storefront on the weekends, but it tends to move quickly and I would say the bagels are worth the wait. Very affordable too! The bagels have a nice crispy crust, a nice chewy texture, and most impressively I think the flavor itself is very tasty. Good and salty! I love how salty the everything seasoning blend they use is. Worth noting - the bagels are on the smaller side. In the warm months there is a makeshift outdoor space to enjoy your bagel, but really it's a takeaway spot. I would recommend getting a bag of bagels to go and making a bagel sandwich yourself at home, especially if you like a toasted bagel. Definitely my favorite bagel spot in Park Slope, and one of my all-time favorites in the whole city!

Small, but mighty bagel. I will make this review brief because of how tiny the bagels are here. Bagel sandwich is neat. Bagel is good. Crunchy exterior chewy interior. The fillings are fresh. $11 is a good price for cream cheese and lox. Short walk from the 7th Ave station on the F/G. You know you have something good when a pigeon is trying to grab it while you are eating it.

The service is quick and efficient, though don't expect too much chitchat--Bagel Hole is all about getting you your bagel fix fast. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality, making it a great value.

Great fresh bagels from the best spot in Brooklyn. They don't have a toaster so don't even ask. Just enjoy them hot with melted butter. They may be smaller than the giant puffy bagels sold elsewhere but just remember that these are normal size and taste 10xs better.

For my money this is the best bagel shop in New York City. If it's a nice day get some bagels and go eat them in Prospect Park.

I think their bagels have a nice equilibrium between dense and chewiness with a glossy hard exterior.

I asked for their advice on what kind of lox to order and they cut me a healthy slice to try of each. And the lox is to die for. The nova is the classic, but also got some gravlax and the pastrami lox. All had their unique flavors that were distinctly different. Amazing! And yes ~$60/pound is expensive, but it's artisan, hand carved and they even cut out the little bit of blood line so every bit is perfect. It's worth the splurge every once in a while. I will say though the bagels there were just meh unfortunately. Kinda average and on this day below average if you ask me. It was about a 20 minute wait from enter the shop, grabbing a ticket, waiting for your number to be called, ordering the sandwich, getting the food and paying. Waiting for your number to be called happens faster than you think as people do drop out like flies, so just be patient. If you order yourself a Classic Bagel & Lox Sandwich ($17) like I did, you can watch them filet the salmon fresh from the fish itself to be used just for your sandwich. I did everything bagel and choose Scallion cream cheese, which seems like the popular choice. It's good enough to go out of the way to try once in your life. To be a repeat customer, idk if I want to wait in line for this every weekend. Additionally, there's no seating besides the benches that's outside. I do have to give it to them, among the chaos, the employee that helped me was super friendly. I also saw some of the customers get salmon samples of the salmon for the lox. Idk if they asked or the employee just happened to be offering it.

It's a pretty spacious bagel spot with ample seating menu's with pricing for all items they sell which is helpful. Food: 3/5 I ordered a jalapeño bagel with turkey bacon, and scrambled eggs. The bagel was okay nothing to rave about your standard bagel. Nothing to make me fave about it. The texture was chewy and a bit doughy if you like your bagels that texture this may be the spot for you. Overall my bagel was about 10-12$ I believe. They charge extra for a rainbow bagel and other specialty bagels like jalapeño. Which is pretty expensive so make sure you're aware of that. Service: 3/5 The customer service was mediocre. The guy at the front wasn't the most pleasant. Very much get you in an out top of place. They weren't rude but not the most cheerful I'd say. Ambiance: 3/5 standers bagel shop nothing really impressive or spectacular. I will say when in the area due to the lack of places to eat that make REAL food. I have come back here and the bagels have been decent. Would like the staff to be more pleasant.
