This bagel pub a few blocks from the 1 2 3 4 and 5 trains is a treat in the neighborhood. The bagel are fresh and delicious. These are the bagels you can eat plain but there are plenty of selections my favorite is the raising bagel. Toasted cream cheese or bacon and eggs. It's always a crowd but line moves fast and it's worth the wait with friendly service . The inside with its brick interior design is just right. There is also a small outdoor seating available when weather permits .
If you're looking for a solid bagel option in Crown Heights, definitely check out Bagel Pub! They definitely excel in their cream cheese here, with the fresh ingredients like scallions, garlic, and mixed berries that they add to their cream cheese. I tried my first scooped bagel since I heard their bagel sandwiches are so good! The lox bagel came with lots of lox, red onions, capers, and scallion cream cheese. The cream cheese does get a bit heavy since it's concentrated to one side, but it's still delicious. The whole wheat everything bagel bread was a bit salty but very chewy. If you're more of a fruity bagel person, the blueberry bagel with mixed fruit cream cheese was such a good option! The blueberry bagel had lots of blueberries in it, and having the cream cheese on the side was the best option for making sure you have the best bagel to cream cheese ratio! The lines can get long on the weekends so you might want to order it ahead or for delivery!
Wanted a quick breakfast and was recommended to this place. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a whole wheat bagel. It was good, but it was $9 and change! Iced coffee was okay. The place itself is very pretty and they have so many different options of cream cheese! I would definitely treat myself to this place if I'm in the area again even though it's a little on the pricier side!
Wow! They are right - New York bagels are better. We visited twice on our trip, once on a a Friday morning, and again on Sunday. The place was slammed full of people on both occasions. We ordered bagel sandwiches, coffee, and fresh juice. They were amazing - huge bagels with tons of flavor and squishy texture. They had a TON of options for regular and vegan cream cheese, tons of sandwich options, and other foods too. This is the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, juice, smoothies, and more.
Came here at 9:00 AM on a Tuesday and there were people seated but no line. There's truly an overwhelming number of spreads here for bagels, both sweet and savory. I got a toasted Everything Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese, and it was ready in about 5 minutes. You have to order the bagel in a separate place from where you pay. There's a few tables nearby that you can sit at to eat. This place does a rather light amount of cream cheese on their bagels, which I appreciate but know that might not be to everyone's preference. The bagel was warm and fluffy with a good tear to it. I liked the cream cheese as well; the scallions are plentiful throughout. A good chain spot that I would be happy to get another bagel at someday.
Bagel pub on a Sunday morning is such a treat! I ordered the egg everything with scallion bacon cream cheese. The bagel was thick with the perfect amount of cream cheese. The sesame bagel with bacon egg and cheese was steaming hot and perfect. They do not skimp on the bacon here!! The ordering is efficient but the place is busy so it takes a while to get your order. The wait is always worth it tho! There's some seating but you may have to wait for a table especially on weekends
Busy but worth it! The juices are freshly made! First day I got the Wake Me Up and it did exactly that, I needed something fresh that would give me the nutrients I needed in the morning. I also got an Everything bagel with eggs, cheese and sausage and the combo was delicious! Melted cheese as I always prefer! Second day I got Green Machine and Whole Wheat bagel with egg, sausage, cheese! Again melted beautifully and toasted warm! The place had a cozy ambiance if you want to study or have a quick energy meal or even a casual date!
I'm no native New Yorker-bagel connoisseur. HOWEVER- this was probably the most delicious bagel of my life. Bagel Pub has so many options from cream cheese to toppings... Good luck making your dream bagel, it's hard to choose! I went for the standard lox combo on their pre-fix menu of bagel combos to try. Man oh man, was it HUGE. These bagels were great portions, excellent in flavor, and fresh ingredients. They also had a good range of tea, coffee, and smoothies too. Lovely places to sit outside and take in the morning scenery. Wish I could have made a second stop in my trip!
I've been here several times and loved it! I normally get an avocado, sausage, eggs, and cheese with a hashbrown inside. Although you have to wait approximately ten minutes for your order, the wait is well worth it. The iced coffee with Hazelnut and almond milk is absolutely delicious. I always dine in when coming here.
Bagels are great, however, you may want to ask for light cream cheese if you want a normal amount. There's almost more cream cheese than bagel.
I'm a fan of this place after being here a few times. They have a solid selection of cream cheeses and bagels. Service is friendly and efficient. I've never had an Everything Pumpernickel Bagel before visiting this place. If you're even the least bit interested in it.... don't think just order it. My most recent order included Everything Pumpernickel Bagels with scallion and veggie cream cheese as well as honey walnut cream cheese. Their strawberry cream cheese is also solid.
I love that this spot is super close by to me, it's always yummy, and love the convenient option of online ordering for pickup! ILY 4EVER BP

The cream cheeses were very seasoned and delicious, and there were so many to choose from. I tried the garlic and herb cream cheese on an everything bagel, and it was amazing. The latte and. coffee were not great though, so I would stick with the bagels. read more

Delicious bagels, fairly quick service, fresh squeezed orange juice! Large number of choices for bagel spreads. Chai latte is very sweet. Will definitely come again. Ample seating between the indoor and outdoor tables when the weather is nice. Single gender neutral bathroom was clean. read more

This is my go to spot for YEARS! I don't care if I had to stand on line for an hour it WAS WORTH IT every single time. One of the BEST BAGEL SPOTS in Brooklyn UNTIL TODAY!!!! Ordered my usual egg white (well done) with cheddar cheese and bacon on a toasted sesame seed bagel. WELL, not only was my bagel NOT TOASTED. I found it EXTRA CRUNCHY TODAY. Just to discover what I was chomping on WAS NOT SEASME SEEDS IT WAS HALF A SHELL FROM THE DAMN EGG!!! Im so UPSET and DISGUSTED. A little tiny piece of shell.. sure.:. I understand BUT HALF A SHELL!!!!!! COME ON REALLY?!? I STILL LOVE YOU GUYS BUT I want a refund and next time I come back, I will make sure to check my sandwich before I leave. The egg everything bagels are definitely my favorite, I find them more visually appealing and fluffy than the regular bagels. I had the lox #2 sandwich and although I didn't find the lox particularly noteworthy, I appreciate that they don't skimp on the ingredients and gave plenty of lox, cream cheese, avocado, etc. read more

Had Bagel Pub deliver while I was visiting family in Brooklyn. It is a restaurant my family orders from frequently. I ordered the Pub salad, added grilled chicken. I was very pleased with the taste of the salad/dressing, lots of toppings and they put on a good amount of chicken. To drink we both got lemonade because my sister insisted. Bagel Pub is a neighborhood staple (and favorite) and literally the only place in NYC that I continue to dine at that has a "Grade Pending". Please fix that. But, not to fear--not passing with an A on the first inspection was not a deterrence to me and the swarm of other patrons that keep the lines long and energy high on any given weekend. The lines are seriously almost out of the door. And for good reason. The bagels are freshly made each day and fantastic. I've only had one or two occasions where it felt like there was a QC mishap in the kitchen and the bagels were chewy and felt undercooked. Other than that, they're wonderful. Not to mention the abundance of inventive cream cheese spreads. For a while, my go to was a toasted poppy seed or everything bagel with guacamole cream cheese, but lately I stick to a toasted PS with veggie cream cheese and sometimes add sliced tomato if I want to splurge (lol). That and a single iced decaf espresso with oat milk. I love that they have oat milk AND my favorite brand Oatly. Always a bubbly energy in here whether with the anticipation of bagels on a long Saturday line or PYT playing from the speakers. Love. read more

Located on the corner of Franklin Ave and St Johns is a busy bagel spot that is great for a order and go experience with some limited outdoor seating options which I will comment on later in the review. Recommended and loved by locals (at least the ones we know), we stopped by early Saturday morning. There was a constant flow of customers lining up to order as well as those who pre-ordered on their phone (a great option!) Their menu was pretty extensive so please check it out before getting in line because they have a process! First step in and place an order for food at the marketplace counter. I happened to browse Yelp and found this impressive picture of The Italian Sandwich (which was not on the menu) that looked amazing. When I ordered, the lady at tue counter had no idea what it was so I was going to give up and go back to the drawing board but she pulled one of the chefs to ask if they knew what I was asking for. He did! So she wrote up my order and handed me a carbon copy of it to line up and pay at the cash register. This is where you order your drinks. I ordered non-sweet black tea and she gave me black coffee. I don't blame her since speaking through a mask can be hard to understand. When I clarified she quickly replaced my drink. We waited for our orders and man I did not except the hefty sandwich I was handed. The bun (roll) could barely contain its contains. Loaded, and I mean loaded with (top to bottom) Tomatoes, Lettuce, Provolone, Ham, Soppressata, Sweet Capocollo, red bell peppers. I cannot tell you how big that thing was. One bite and the meat stack threatened to pop out of the bun. The red bell peppers on the bottom bun was flavored and added a new blast of flavor to the otherwise meaty sandwich. This was actually different than what the OG helper had posited since the only veggies they had was arugula. Outside seating: a few tables are available and you can easily pull tables together to form seating for bigger groups. One warning: while we were there, a very angry man walked by and started to cuss out people who were eating there. A local told us that he's harmless and just to not engage. He did however walk up to every table to give them an earful of cussing and spoke a language I did not understand. But it felt really intense and there was a lot of spitting as he shouted. He scared off a wave of diners and walked off but later came back. This is absolutely outside of the restaurants control and not their fault but thought I should warn you that this may happen if you chill outside at this location. Overall, my friends were happy with their bagels and I with my enormous sandwich. read more

Ok ok ok now people of Brooklyn. Hello it's me, Marla. From Manhattan. I'm stealing your bagel spot because it blows every other Manhattan bagel joint away! First, I've never seen so many gourmet cream cheese combos in my life. All dope AF. All pleasantly displayed in a very clean manner. Was famished this morning so I picked up a #41 (roast beef, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, horseradish mayo on a roll). It knocked my socks off! High quality meat, mayo was exploding with flavor and the bread to filling ratio was perfect. Also ordered the Classic Nova Lox on an Everything Pumpernickel bagel (a rarity). This comes with a caper cucumber cream cheese which was very tasty!! And lastly, order the Za'tar cream cheese. It's a must try. read more

Walk in, get in line to the left from designated entrance. Easiest to scan the menu on the wall with your phone. It was my first time at this location, you can just make your own bagel, I was under the impression that they have special sandwiches but couldn't find it. You get your order taken by staff and they hand you a receipt to take to the counter. You order drinks or coffee at the register. I ended up waiting 10-15 minutes because someone left my bagel in the corner of the back counter and someone must have forgotten to bring it up. About 10-15 people who ordered after me got their orders first. Thankfully the lady taking orders noticed me standing around after everyone around me left. When I got home 5 minutes later, bagel was completely cold had to microwave it. My bagel was great and iced banana latte has been a long-standing favorite but this was not a good experience. Bagel pub was really good. I came here 2x during my stay in Brooklyn and I ordered the #1 and #2 lox sandwiches. The biggest difference was the avocado imo. The lox was plentiful and fresh. I haven't had many authentic nyc bagels so the amount of lox was a tad overwhelming for me but still delicious. I would recommend if you're in the mood for ample amounts of fish. Portions are huge. I only ate half for breakfast and the other half for lunch. There's outdoor seating to enjoy your bagel and people watch. read more
Got a bagel sandwich the the wake me up drink! The portion is very big and I split the bagel with a friend. The wake me up drink had a strong ginger flavor, but i liked it because it tasted like a health drink. Seating is a little hard to find, but we didn't wait long to get a spot since people go in and out pretty fast. read more

Bagel Pub is literally a part of my life routine. I go pretty much every Saturday I love it that much. Tbh I'm shocked the average rating isn't higher. Expect a wait and to stand in line for a bit, especially on a weekend in the summer. It's just what happens when places are good. The line moves fast, there's just a lot of people. I usually do an everything bagel toasted with scallion (v classic) but something about the texture and consistency of their bagel is just perfect and doughy. I'm in the camp that there's never too much cream cheese and they always do me right. When I feel like diverging, I get pumpernickel everything which is also delicious. My favorite alternative cream cheese is the Za'atar (which I've never seen anywhere else) and also the scallion Lox is delicious. For a sweet taste, I love their cinnamon raisin with the honey cherry cream cheese. They also have great drinks. Their chai latte is exactly what I want my chai to taste like (sweet but not overpowering), the watermelon lemonade is great, and all the fresh pressed juices are good. Tip: order ice with your juice because they don't come out cold. read more

Bagel pub is definitely special. Both the Park Slope and Crown Heights locations, but Crown Heights especially. Bagels are well-made and just the right amount of chewy. Cream cheese selection ranges from the traditional to avant-garde, just like Crown Heights itself! A toasted pumpernickel everything bagel (you read that correctly) with za'atar cream cheese (also exists) puts just the right amount of spin on a timeless classic. The ABC (avocado, bacon, cheddar) sandwich is life changing on an egg everything. I have to take one star off because service just can vary wildly and doesn't seem to be crowd-dependent. Sometimes it's busy and I get my bagel right away. Sometimes it's empty and it takes a million years (feels that way when you're hungry). Sometimes it's the opposite, but the food is what keeps me coming back. That's the important thing. read more
I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and provolone cheese. It was alright. I would still go to Ess-a-bagel for their bagels instead though. My boyfriend got their french toast which was pretty good. I liked that they had breakfast options besides bagels. I tried their vanilla latte - it did not taste remotely close to what a vanilla latte should taste so that was a little disappointing. They were pretty full, so finding a table might be a little hard but we were able to snag one right before ordering. read more

This place is like the baskin robbins of bagel shops. There's so many options I really don't see how you can go wrong here. Went midday on a weekday so there wasn't a long line. I got the chicken salad which was really good BUT I spoke to some other customers and got some tips on taking a fire bagel. Many people will order a classic like BEC and add something like their chipotle or jalapeño cream cheese . Or you can create your own bagel but I think the key to this place is including one of their delicious cream cheeses to it always . I'm going back for sure to try something different very soon read more

Sorry the people making negative reviews on here seem to be just bitter about the wait times. Good things take time. Stop being babies. Especially when the smears look like this (see picture below). I've tasted every single bagel shop In Manhatten, this is hands down the best tasting bagel in NYC. They get all the consistencies right - not too chewy, crisp on the outside but not too crisp that it zaps the flavor, and their smear options are insane and taste the best - oh and they don't skimp. Check this place out if you're in Brooklyn ever. It's worth the wait, and if you need any further proof that I know what I'm talking about, just look again at this lox scallion spread. You won't see anything like it anywhere else in the world. read more

Bagel Pub is a great place to eat. However the prices are false advertisement. I'm calling on the owner to update prices and be more transparent. I recently ordered a house salad, on menu it says 6.95, when I got my receipt it says 9.63. That's not cool. Come on man read more
Everything was average - the actual bagel, the bagel egg sandwich, the bagel scallion cream cheese and the chocolate chip cookie. They also gave me the wrong cream cheese type on my bagel, and I didn't discover it until I got home. The wait was longer than expected for a Friday morning around 9a. An overall average to below-average experience, but I'll likely go back because the location is convenient. read more
This places seems pretty nice, with an above average assortment of bagels (missing some flavors if you ask me) and pastries. These are menus in the back of the restaurant where there are sandwiches, soups and salads to choose from. Some of the prices are a a bit excessive, like .50 extra for a roll when you get a non egg sandwich. My friend had a salad (looked nice), I had a cafe au lait (pretty good). Maybe I will try a Bagel sandwich next time. read more

I like this place in general but they definitely lost their touch. I ordered a everything bagel with sliced lox, capers, onions, scallion cream cheese, red onions, tomatoes and arugula. Instead they didn't give me arugula but they me a handful of spinach and two thin slices of lox, one slice of tomato, and big chunks of scallions sprinkles on top of my cream cheese rather then scallion cream cheese spread. I also order a powerhouse large green juice with a shot of ginger, no complaints there loved it. My fiancé had a cream cheese and strawberry pasty and he loved it . Overall, we are Disappointed in Bagel Pub and won't be returning. The overall taste of the sandwich was altered because all I could taste was the strong taste of thickly sliced scallions. It'll be a never ending debate between Brooklyn and Manhattan for the better bagels, but that just forces restaurants to make a better bagel. I wandered into Bagel Pub per a recommendation from a friend. AMBIANCE I really like what they've done with the space. Reminds of an elevated deli space. Their chalk board is really well written as well. It just feels very BK. The owners are mad nice too. I saw a guy forget his wallet, but he's a regular so the guys just him slide for the day. Good sign if someone comes every single day. FOOD I went with an ABC on an everything. Egg, avocado, bacon, egg, cheese. So I really got the works. The bagel itself was done right. I always love a good kettle boiled bagel, and their everything is a really solid choice. The ingredients tasted fresh, as they're made in house every day. OVERALL Can't complain. $9 for a bagel is a little steep, but I did get the works on it. I'd come back here if I'm in the area again. Good people, good food, good space. read more
This is a very nice breakfast place. They not only have many varieties of fresh bagels including whole wheat bagel with everything, but many kinds of cream cheese and other stuff. My whole wheat everything bagel has sprinkles of everything on top and on bottom, both sides! Their coffee is strong and tasty and the small coffee was big enough for me. The bathroom door has WC sign like in Europe. :) It is very spacious and traveler friendly. The message in the wall above the toilet water tank is nice and charming I thought. I am sure I will come back here again. read more

Is there space to sit and work during the week?
Definitely space to pop open a laptop at some of the tables in the back. I would say just be mindful of the busy breakfast and lunch hours and you're good!
