Can't believe I haven't been here before now! They have quite the selection of cream cheeses and bagel types as well as a spread of coffee options. Their COVID measures are great, as they have an employee stationed at the door with a Square reader that you don't even have to touch. Their menus are on a table in front of the employee and you order with them then go pick up your order around the corner. Quick and easy even on a busy weekend! I visit here frequently. Food is always fresh, and delicious. I want to extra applaud the staff. Came in for my lunch and they were dealing with the most typical Karen ever. This particular location is within walking distance of my work. I've continued to order bagel sphere as it seems like a better option than the dari mart next door. The bagels here are really dense, and when toasted are extremely hard. Their everything bagels are EXTREMELY salted, and most savory bagels seem to have similar issues with excessive salt. Furthermore, after trying other menu items apart from bagels w/ cream cheese, I have discovered that NONE of the veggies here seem to be fresh. I ordered a salad and was given a container red-brown iceberg lettuce. I ordered a veggie bagel and was given possibly the oldest, grossest avocado, and weird soggy sprouts. Extremely disappointing. Seemingly the only thing edible here is their soup, which if you've worked in a few kitchens is pretty easily identified as the bagged soups from cash n carry. read more

I was driving to get new tires and praying their was a great place in walking distance to get a quick lunch and a great latte; I was in luck. It was across the street. This little spot, isn't so little when you walk inside. They make everything in house, you can see it by the large industrial kitchen behind the counter. I was thrilled to see Lox on the menu and ordered that with a 8oz hazelnut Latte, the total came in under $9. DEAL. First time trying Bagel sphere today, Was really impressed. I ordered a " pearl" sandwich( Everything bagel, smoked salmon and onion with capers) super yummy. My parents ordered everything bagels with egg and cheese they were also pleased. I ordered a white chocolate iced coffee, a Mexican mocha, and a drip coffee all which were very good. I go often to Bagel Sphere and have always been pleased with service, etc., but today I was extremely grossed out! The person who prepared my bagel had just gotten off of the phone, scratched her head and back, and then proceeded to make bagels without putting new gloves on. I never had a lox bagel and thought I would finally give it a try. Seeing that Bagel Sphere offered it I decided to go in. I got my lox on a everything bagel and it was actually good. Only thing I had issue is that the toppings like the onion and capers would just slide off. Maybe putting them on cream cheese and then topped with smoked salmon would fix that. Other than that it was quite good with the crispiness from the toasting of the bagel and definitely would order again. Only issue I had here was with the staff and thus the 3 stars. One of the employees was very abrasive when answering questions. This happened a couple times with me, once when I asked where I can leave my tray. She made it as if it was obvious, but if you haven't been here before, it is tucked around the counter without any signs. She was also very abrasive to a customer before me. This is probably my least favorite place when it comes to bagels. I love bagels and so I can't understand why this shop that specializes in this very thing sells incredibly hard to chew bagels. If I pay too much $ for these bagels that are supposedly baked fresh daily, I would expect soft decadent bagels. But this is never the case. The last time I went there I purchased the fresh "bakers dozen" with veggie cream cheese and the berry cream cheese. I was so disappointed. My family had to microwave the bagels for 20-30 seconds to warm and soften them just to make them pliable enough to get a knife through it to simply slice down the center. The veggie cream cheese is very good. But the berry cream cheese is just plain cream cheese with a pink tint to it...we couldn't taste any berry flavor. Tough bagels, way too tough to even enjoy. I took the remainder to work the next day....but no one wanted any. The common question...."how old are these bagels"? Plus, customer service is not very good. They talk way too much to each other, gossiping or talking about their personal life. It was clear their conversations were way more important than providing good customer service. I couldn't believe why I was in there and why I actually paid for the food and services. I'll never go back. If you want a good, fresh bagel for the right price...go to any Winco Foods, they truly bake them fresh daily and they are remarkably delicious and soft. I can get 5 bagels for under $3.00. Plus their everything bagels are not overly salty and tough as nails to chew! read more

I decided to give this place a try after seeing the parking lot full a few times. It looks like a big shop from the outside but they have very few tables for patrons (and I couldn't help but notice a huge, wide open space behind the counter). I ordered a toasted bagel with veggie cream cheese. The cream cheese was so potent that I felt like I smelt like garlic/onion(?) for hours after. But that alone wouldn't make me give a two star review. My two stars is because they advertise they are "fast" on the front of their building. They are anything but. Been sampling breakfasts around town. Happened to be getting a tire repaired at Discount Tire on 11th and found this spot across the street. I ordered the toasted Salt and Caraway seed bagel with regular cream cheese and. 12oz 2-shot Americano. DELICIOUS!! Been back 2-3 times since. Unfortunately Bagelsphere is not on my way to/from me regular routes. Always a pleasure to stop in. service folks are super kind and efficient. My first experience at Bagel Sphere was over on Willamette and since it was a great one we gave this location a shot on our way out to the coast. We ordered some egg, sausage and bagel sandwiches to go which were made fast and tasted delicious. The reason I had to give this place three stars is because of the barista making the drinks. While we sat there with our bagels ready and only two other customers in the shop with 3 employees behind the counter, we watched her talk to her friend for 5 minutes before starting our drink. We stood there trying to give the vibe that we were trying to get back on the road but she didn't seem to care. She continued the conversation and when she finally did make the drink she made the wrong one. A woman came up thinking it was hers which makes me think that she forgot to make that woman's drink before ours. I'll give this place another chance if I'm in that neighborhood but I hope the customer service gets up to par. read more

I moved to Eugene a few months ago and had a favorite place for bagels that I've been missing so much. The bagels here are so well made and hit the spot. Their sandwiches are beyond delicious. My personal favorite is the 'bachelor breakfast sandwich'. When I went in here everyone was so nice and considerate. The environment was so friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. Best bagels in Eugene. I grew up on the east coast where bagels caught on early and there are plenty of good places to choose from and since I moved out here this has been my go to bagel shop. Their sandwiches are great and their cream cheese is excellent. I particularly enjoy their sausage egg and cheese bagel. This location does not get super busy that I have witnessed so your food is ready quick. I'll buy a dozen, freeze half of them and love to make pizza bagels with them. Their dough is just right. It's not dense like Humble bagels. To me a good litmus test of a bagel is my willingness to eat one untoasted with nothing on it and these pass with flying colors. Great service and nice atmosphere at this location too. Also, they have AMAZING coffee. Some of the best white mocha's I have ever had came from Bagel Sphere. I only wish they made their bagels throughout the day so you could come in and have a chance to get a bagel that was still hot or warm from being cooked. No toasting needed, this is the best way to enjoy a bagel. read more

Finally! Happened by this location on an odd day that I had off... and they were OPEN! Not much to say--as the nice person who helped us said of the location, "This is where the magic happens" :) Over the counter you can see the systems in place to make these bagels, which I thought was pretty cool. I also really enjoyed their simple wood counter tops, and the laid-back vibe inside. Sun was streaming into the south-facing windows and things were quiet around 3pm. I'm guessing it was nearing the end of the baker's work day. I had a smoked turkey sandwich on a garlic bagel. Good stuff. Bagel was chewy like it should be, and the sprouts were great. My girlfriend had the same thing, on asiago, also great. Just a simple, tasty lunch stop that didn't break the bank. I also left with a bag of day-olds for $3. I love this place for breakfast and lunch. Their bagels are fresh and cooked to perfection with the soft inside and crisp but not too thick crust. Just like you get in New York , no kidding. They have a great selection of tasty bagel sandwiches and even make a pizza version that is delicious , vegan choices taste great too. Live this place and its downtown location, but the west 11th has the huge kitchen and just has a great vibe to it. Parking sucks but it's worth the trip. Very friendly staff. Their Oregon chai is one of the if not the best chai in town. It's "baked tea infused with warm clove, cardamom, cinnamon and ginger." If you find one that you think tops it, let me know. (Maybe at townshends, or morning glory's lavender chai?) Cranberry bagel was pretty unbeatable, too, if you're a cranberry fan. I got their Willamette on it which is a popular menu item featuring turkey, cream cheese, avocado, tomato, onion, and choice of greens (lettuce or spinach). I think the bagels at Bagel Sphere are the best in town (always fresh, perfectly toasted, chewy but not dense, and slathered in cream cheese) but the shining star of Bagel Sphere is the friendly service. It's so nice to have someone call you 'sweetie' and 'honey' and cheerfully wish you a good day when you still have bed head and crust around your eyes. This was a good experience. It would have been 5 stars, except they didn't have the menu item I wanted (bagel dog) and they seemed a little disorganized. I noticed a couple families there. I called this location at 8:30 this morning in hopes of picking up 2 dozen bagels tomorrow at around 9:30. I was told that they needed 48 hours notice for this type of order. I said I completely understand and that I had attempted to place the order yesterday on their website and it would not allow me to do so. By the time I was then able to call to place the order the location was closed as it was after 3:00. The person on the phone said that she was sorry that the website didn't allow the purchase and that she wasn't sure why that would happen. She then said they could provide the 2 dozen bagels but they would be available for pick up on Friday. The order is for an employee's birthday and that employee does not work on Fridays so unfortunately this does not help me. I called another bagel shop in town that is not as conveniently located and they were happy to help me with my order for tomorrow. Needless to say, I will not be calling this business in the future. I understand that businesses are struggling to find employees as my employer is struggling as well and times are certainly difficult. However, I fail to understand how 2 dozen bagels from a shop that makes bagels for a living would be such an issue under the circumstances. read more

Every time I come in here the staff is very noticeably stressed, overworked, and stretched thin. All while a sign by the door very loudly proclaims that prices have gone up (*quite* a bit I might add) due to "inflation." Actual rating 4.5. Absolutely, hands down, the best bagels in town. I am addicted to everything bagels and this place makes the most extraordinary ones. They are number 1! You have to get there early, early, early because on busy days they are going to sell out of everything. They'll make no apologies about it and it's is hit or miss as to whether you're going to get service with a smile (hence the 4.5 stars). Sometimes they're quite friendly and other times they seem like they'd rather be anywhere but there. I guess I might feel that way if I had to get up that early to make bagels. So it's fine as long as my bagel is made right (toasted, plain cream cheese on the side - yum!), but I always think to get 5 stars you really should have consistently friendly service. read more

Went here with my boyfriend to try something new, and oh boy we got exactly what we were looking for! They have so many varieties of bagels and cream cheese to choose from, and they load them up like crazy with the condiments you choose. I ordered the one with salmon and it was honestly the best bagel I've ever eaten. They add tomatoes to pretty much all of their orders so if you don't like them, you'll have to ask them to hold it. Bf hates tomatoes but I love them. Their most expensive selections are $7.45 for two loaded halves. Those are the ones that use more premium ingredients like salmon and pesto, so it's pretty understandable that they'd be in the higher end. Most of the items on their menu are around 5 bucks for two halves. Definitely a place you want to visit if you want to try something new. Delicious food, friendly and fast service, great time.
