First time in 13 years of being in Port Jervis I get charged 75¢ for a condiment to be added to a breakfast sandwich! Today I ordered 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches at about $5.50 each.. ok that's bad enough but they then proceed to charge 75¢ each sandwich for BUTTER! It costs $3 for 16 oz of butter and they charge me what would amount to 4oz of butter and you know they only swipe on a dab! It's butter for Pete's sake! This is getting out of hand.. when you start charging for salt, pepper, ketchup and butter you have more problems than you think! Needles to say I won't be going to this place again... Update: I go back cause they messed up my order and the lady proceeds to tell me what I ordered basically arguing with me in a subtle way. Never again! read more

Tried the burger. I realized I had made a mistake when the cook pressed the burger with the spatula. A COOK THAT DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY COOK A BURGER. What does that tell you. I asked for a med, juicy burger. Not what i received. Dry well done arrived at my table. He would be better off pumping gas. If there is a male cook , BEWARE. IF ITS WOMEN IN THE KITCHEN you have a better chance. Play safe and have a bagel. Stay away from the burger. 12/09 Tried the bacon cheese burger again. Different cook better burger. Hmmm yeah I dropped by randomly when I was looking for some breakfast. I got a garlic bagel with egg, bacon, and cheese. It was just very meh. The bagel was quite dry and it wasn't anything special. Went there on the recommendation of a regular patron who offered to buy lunch for our group. Ordered 2 sandwiches, two bagels - one with butter, one with cream cheese and two donuts. Took the bag they handed us and went home. Got both sandwiches, which were very large and very tasty. I would almost say a little too big for the hard roll they were on, as the rolls had a difficult time keeping the contents inside. Expect a messy, over-sized sandwich if you go. Got the bagel with butter, a bagel with lox (which none of our party cares for) and no donuts. Went back to complain, they told us we were not being truthful as the member of our party, who is a regular here, is in every morning with her boyfriend and orders a bagel with lox every day. Both the member of our party and her boyfriend assured them they have never ordered a bagel with lox. To make a long story short, they offered to give us the donuts, but we refused. We felt the lack of customer service, the angry attitudes and flat out untruthfulness of their statements was so outrageous we felt uncomfortable and have decided, as a group to never return. read more

Passing through to get the latest addition to my tri-state point collection (PA/NY/NJ) just in time for breakfast. You know you found a great place when all you see are locals coming and going. A ton of choices, but decided on a breakfast sandwich of egg, bacon and turkey sausage. The layout is extremely easy to navigate, staff highly professional, friendly and quick. Highly recommend! Coffee was freshly made with enough of cream, half&half, milk options for any taste pallet. Hope to get back again soon. read more

This is probably not a place I would go for just bagels as they are not up to the caliber of what a call an excellent bagel but I would certainly try their baked goods and other sandwiches. Coming from the city you sort of expect a place like this to have friendly people behind the counter. This is not the case at Bagel Station. The cashier was so incredibly rude to me and my two companions--first, she was annoyed because she didn't charge for the 2 bottles of water I set in front of her upon ordering, accusing me of not telling her I wanted to buy them (but despite this I left a generous tip); then she and her staff rolled their eyes when I asked if it wasn't too late to use cheddar cheese on my breakfast sandwich. All three of them just stared at me and refused to do anything... it was actually bizarre. I walked out of this restaurant with a bad attitude and an inedible, american cheesy-breakfast that ended up in the car garbage 10 minutes later. Still hungry :( read more

I'm a sucker for scallion cream cheese and Bagel Station does it justice. I dislike the location and space, the menu isn't the best. It's not on my top 5 for bagels but it's the best in Port if you must stay within a 5 mile radius. read more

My favorite chicken salad is made at this place. I can eat it straight out of the container. It also good on a roll. I do like the bagels from here. I think they are the best in the area. I was given the impression that I was inconveniencing them. When I arrived to pick them, up the same cheerful demeanor was less than happy to complete my purchase. The order was messed up in several different ways. When I brought it to their attention, the idiot behind the counter told me it was my fault for not ordering properly because her notes matched the order. The notes did not match with what I asked for, but she never considered that she could have made a mistake! Customer service was crap and the sandwiches were mediocre at best. Go to Hess' ! Never go there for cold cuts!!! I bought $35.00+ worth of cold cuts there. I asked for American cheese sliced thin and they pulled off a chunk of pre sliced cheese product, wrapped it in paper and put it at the bottom of my bag. This place has great food. The only bad part is the parking lot doesn't have much space to park and the place is always crowded. Most of the staff is amazing! They do have one young brunette girl who I believe must be a relative to the owner cuz if she wasn't she def would not still have a job. Her attention span is zero and she has no customer service skills at all! The rest of the staff is great always greet u and get u in and out and def the best breakfast in the town! The prices are great also! Also wish they were open a little later but they do open super early so very convenient for the early riser or before working the early shift. Like I said great place. I love their chicken salad. The one with the dried cranberries and walnuts. It has just enough mayo. I have tried to make my own but it's just not the same. I like their bagels a lot. No they are not as good as NYC bagels, but the best in the area. I like the French toast one and blueberry one. The service is always pleasant, and quick. The store itself is rather small and there is usually congestion in the parking lot. But that should tell you something right there. They have fresh coffee and hot water for tea, that you can fix the way you like it. I can't wait to go back. I think I'm going today. Staff and owner are always pleasant and our order is always right. Call ahead to place an order if you are ordering around lunch time.
