So, these are the best bagels in New Jersey. I'm not gonna drag down their reviews, but I have a serious problem. I went in to the establishment for elite bagels 15 minutes before they closed a couple of weeks ago. The guy behind the counter said I can give you half a dozen bagels for five dollars. I looked him square in the eye and said previously they would just stuff a bag full of bagels and say have a nice day. I wasn't looking for freebies, just what I ordered. He laughed like I was getting a deal. Taking advantage of people for pennies is shameful. I really hate to give a one star review for a local place we've loved for a long time but yesterday morning upon entering the store there were 3 bugs I encountered: one dead on the counter, one walking around on the counter, and one on the floor on the way out. I drove away to my destination and stopped to eat and noticed my order was incorrect. I had to drive all the way back to the store and get the second half of my order corrected. Really great bagels! A warm soft chewy everything bagel with scallion cheese was what I came in for. You order bagels on the left, and everything from the grill on the right. I heard a man order a Taylor ham egg and cheese, and became curious. The very nice woman helping me said she could make mine a Taylor. I said sure. Only took a couple extra minutes. Paid and took it to go. Once I opened my wrapper, I realized it wasn't a Taylor ham egg and cheese, but only Taylor ham on my scallion cheese smeared everything bagel. This location always usually has a long line. The do have a good system where they have the cold sandwiches go to one side and the grill sandwiches to another. Their bagels are average.
