I picked an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. The bagel was good, doughy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I thought the cream cheese had the perfect amount of heat. The egg sandwich that my partner ordered was underwhelming. The girls behind the counter looked miserable and didn't bother to ask how he wanted the eggs cooked. 2/23/25__My best friend recently ordered a TON of bagels and platters of whitefish/egg salad/tuna salad for a shiva at her home. The food was outstanding BUT the transport of this quantity of food was EXTREMELY challenging!! The plastic domed platters easily popped off (good when you're serving, but NOT when you're transporting). Suggest using something in a rectangular shape with a stronger snap on lid -- even better would be rectangular lasagna pans with a foil lid. Another nicety that would have been appreciated is a bagel platter (vs bagels piled into a shopping bag). If that was an option that was declined, then I understand. Their bagel selection was nice, but I was there at 6:30am on a Saturday, so that's kinda when I would expect a bagel place to have bagels. They don't do meats, so no BEC. I went with just egg and cheese on everything and they asked saltpepperketchup like they should. I also got a egg bagel with cream cheese for the kid, cinnamon raison with walnut raisin cream cheese that was a bit too sweet, and 2 types of chocolate milk for just under $20... so pretty good price. Exquisite bagels! So tasty and great texture that it need not be toasted. Runs on par or better than the high end bagels from NYC! Many choices from all grain, everything bagel down to the plain ones. The cream cheese selection is most creamy. My favorite is the scallion cream cheese. All bagels are made fresh every day. The bagel maker comes in the wee hours of the morning. "Coming in the morning to make the bagels"! I give it more than 5 stars but the site only allows max of 5. Best bagels in the area! I usually make my judgment on the blueberry bagels because some companies just dye their blueberry bagels purple / blue & then they just taste like plain bagels. But here, they use actual blueberries & you can see it & you can taste it by the strong blueberry flavor! I got egg whites & low fat veggie cream cheese! Weird combo on a bagel but the sweet & salty pair nicely! Same with my boyfriend, he got a blueberry bagel with egg, cheese, and a hash brown! Another weird combo but really nice. Both the bagel and cream cheese contained large pieces of jalapeno that were spicy but not killer. Ordering my bagel around 1pm, it unfortunately was out of that fresh baked stage. Amazing. Just amazing. Had an everything bagel with chive tofutti cream cheese (vegan) I feel like ordering another... Service is wonderful, bagel was great, and it feels so homey. When you arrive into the place, you can see the guy making the bagels fresh in front of you! This place is also very vegan/vegetarian friendly. They don't show it on their menu outright but they serve vegan cream cheese and bagel sandwiches with no meat. My family didn't believe when I said the best bagels aren't in Brooklyn, but Manalapan. I've been enjoying Bagel World for over 10 years and there have always been familiar faces behind the counter. The bagels are boiled and baked on wood planks with no scrimping on toppings. They aren't too big or too small, have a crisp, shiny exterior, and are soft and chewy inside. They have a delicious selection of spreads and salads, lox, and egg sandwiches. No bacon or sausage though; Bagel World is kosher. Besides the bagels, there are bagel bites, mini bagels, challah, and breakfast cakes. If you can find a better bagel than Bagel World, you're lying. read more

I can't judge ambiance or service, because someone that I know got the bagels for a small party. So, it may have lost the store if I bought the bagels. However, I found the bagels here delicious. They were nice and soft and chewy on the inside, and nice and soft on the outside as well. I couldn't stop eating my good sesame bagel. My only teeny tiny complaint would probably be that I tasted small pieces of garlic on the bagel, when it was a sesame bagel. But, I only tasted 2 to 3 pieces, so it's really not that big of a deal. I've never reviewed a place for Yelp, but I felt this needed to be said. There are a lot of great bagel places in the area, and I frequent most. (I am somewhat loyal to Eli's because of proximity and good quality) but when I was studying in Rome and my sister came to visit, my only request from home was a dozen Bagel World bagels so I could show my roommates the wonders of NJ bagels (and hoard a bunch for myself). This is all well and good, but if you want the real deal, get your butt up at 6AM and get a hot bagel, preferably plain, with cream cheese. I'm from north jersey where the bagels are much better all around compared to this area. This place in particular is nothing to go out of your way for. Bagels are nothing to brag about, a little too doughy and no crisp on the outside. The size is what I consider to be a small bagel. There are better bagel joints in the area. Also, if you're looking for bagel sandwiches like Taylor Ham(porkroll), they don't serve that here because this is a Jewish establishment. Worst customer service ever received. Went in there for first time with family and we were going to take it to go but decided to stay and paid for my food upfront and sat. Cashier forgot to charge or accidentally overlooked 2 cups of coffee I had but I didn't know because I didn't see receipt I just paid for whatever she told me. We sat down and ate and I asked my husband if he wanted additional drinks and he said no and I informed her we didn't but if anything changes I would let her know....period. We ate cleaned up everything after us and thanked them and left and as we are loading car with kids a customer tells me they are talking very poorly about you inside and saying you didn't pay. I was so embarrassed I went in confronted Sharon and she said No no customer wrong it wasn't about you and we are good. I didn't want to make a scene so I left and called manager Scott who denied all on the phone and told me I didn't pay for coffee and was abrupt himself. How embarrassing for a business to run like this - I had no idea she didn't charge for coffee who would have known with no receipt. they see an ethnic family and made a scene hoping we don't return...when I mentioned this to Scott he went on to call me and my family mental nut jobs and hung up....kudos to Bagel World....so sad for this to occur in 21st century read more

First off let me say the bagels are good, but what bagel place doesn't have any meat. And second after not being able to get what I really was craving I got a egg and cheese on a bagel in which the egg was severely over cooked. I would not recommend if you want a breakfast sandwich. First the bagels, they are average at best and nothing exceptional. Cream cheese tastes like Philadelphia cream cheese so that's not good. I never had any problems with the service or employees but I wouldn't describe the service as exceptional. What bothers me is how improper their business practices are towards their customers. Clearly, there are defined business hours by which they have agreed to operate. So, what excuse can employees of Bagel World have to deny service while they are operating within the business hours. There is no excuse to say that you cannot provide certain products because the grill is off. If you want to do business then be ready to serve your customers until the closing time. Shutting off the grill one hour before the closing time is not acceptable business practice and definitely not a reason to deny serving certain products. You want to make money then learn to properly conduct your business. read more

Let me start by saying that the bagels here are decent. It is their business ethics that I question. First, when I stopped in one day and made a purchase, I was told that I couldn't use my town's tax card because it was a holiday. I thought this odd, but didn't go crazy about it. The next time I went in, I was informed that they no longer accepted the card at all. That was also alright. Today when I made my purchase, I handed the cashier my credit card and was informed (while she pointed to a small notice taped to the countertop) that there was a charge of a little over 3% (I don't remember the exact amount) to use a credit card. I asked her if it was because I had a small order and was informed that no, it applied to every order. I have never experienced anything like this.
