First time visitor yesterday after going running and heading to an errand in this direction. It was not what I expected, mainly because of the table service. But for atmosphere and authenticity, Bagelicious earns a good review. I would dock a bit for the diner-type coffee. The positives are the friendly crew and the decor. Even though I'm not a Yankee fan, the theme supported the authentic vibe. My bagels were good, and they have some other specialty items (beverages, mustards, deli meats) that seem great to try. I have my favorite bagel places that I go to after running, and Bagelicious is a little out of my territory, so I probably won't be coming back here soon or often, but they made a good pitch on this visit. read more

The food is always fresh, delicious, and ample. Service is on the spot. The bagels are excellent. My only complaint is that they don't take credit cards. I don't mind when I'm in the restaurant, but, I placed a catering order to be picked up by someone else and could not pay for it via credit card on the phone. That was inconvenient. read more

I came here with two other people on New Years morning and i understand the fact that every breakfast place is gonna be busy on New years morning but the service was absolutely terrible. First of all we came in and waited for about 20 minutes at the cash register for anyone to even acknowledge us and then when someone finally came to take our order we were greeted with terrible attitude from the lady working. We've never been here before and the menu was kind of confusing and the lady was very impatient and rude when taking our order. There seemed to be no sense of order whatsoever and there were customers standing around confused as no one even tried to help. On top of that when we finally got our order to go almost 30 minutes later the lady was scrambling trying to put all of our boxes in the bag and dropped one on the floor OPEN and didn't even say anything. Clearly has a loyal following. Honestly, the bagels are not that special and they're smaller than at, say, Goldberg's or the amazing BB Bagels in Alpharetta. The New Yorker sandwich (pastrami and corned beef) was un-chewable because the meat had so much gristle. The whitefish salad was so loaded with bones that you have to pick your way through the salad with great caution. On the positive side, the service is friendly and responsive and the place has a great atmosphere and is literally buzzing with activity on weekend mornings. When it comes to bagels, Bagelicious is the standard bearer even comparing it to other places, including NYC and FL. I can't discuss the rest of the menu cause I'm so addicted to the everything bagel (untoasted when fresh) with veggie cream cheese, though my bagelmates are equally addicted to their favorite variety. It amazes me that Bagelicious doesn't get the recognition it deserves in the bagel wars. I'd love to know if anyplace sells their bagels as driving the 10 miles, while well worth it when I get there makes my visits a bit less frequent and my freezer a bit fuller. (And get over the cash policy, just come prepared. It's not that hard to use real $.) read more

Best bagels south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Yes, the coffee is mediocre. Yes, they are occasionally rude at the checkout. But on the whole, the food is solid and consistent deli breakfast fare. Unique and not a chain which is an added bonus. read more

Went in for brunch and the experience was unpleasant due to poor service. My server, who was wearing his hat backwards as if he were at a ball game, never checked on me after my meal arrived nor did I get my coffee refilled. He walked past me at least six times never looking my way. When my meal was over, I waited at least ten minutes for a check but he never brought it, so I went to the register with my bagel and cream cheese in hand asking for a container to take it home in. The manager had to track down the waiter to get my check and I held up other guests wanting to check out. My meal cost $12.09 and the omelette was tough not fluffy. The bagel was good. Bagelicious is the best thing since Snack n Shop closed. Their fish is so fresh ittastes like it was just flown in. Bagels are good. Omelettes are good but we usually go for fish and bagels. Generous platters. But oh the fish is so moist and you can't get this here. A million times better than Goldbergs and much less expensive. read more

I went here for the first time this morning based on a recommendation from a co-worker who lives outside of the U.S and was visiting. First of all the staff is amazing, and yes they only take cash or check which I was not aware off. I did not have any cash since I'm pretty much a credit/debit kind of person and the staff said it was "ok" and to come visit them next time. Absolutely an honor system that you can not find anywhere any more. I had my check book luckily, but I would recommend this place to anyone simply because the service, the staff and the bagels are amazing :-) !!!! read more

If I could I wouldn't even give them a single star! I never leave reviews but my friends and I were treated so poorly. It was our first time here and we were standing at the register looking at the menu. A few minutes later a younger girl asked us if she could help with anything but with an extreme attitude. We said we are looking and she signals for us to come closer and says rudely "I can't hear you, can you come here!" Like we were dogs. My friends and I walk down to where she was standing just to see her roll her eyes and giggle to her coworkers about us. We continued to order and she still gave us an attitude the whole time. When she took our order she points us back to the the register and says "pay over there". At this point I was so upset I just wanted to leave but my friends had ordered already. A few other employees were standing there and one guy clearly saw the whole thing happened. He gave me a sympathy smile and walked away. We felt very discriminated against. The service here is terrible. Just because we are Asian and not white you don't have to treat us like that. I will never come back. read more

Can't rate the food since I didn't even get to try it, but I sure can rate the service. Didn't have any cash on me so I left. That's not as big of a problem as the service was, although I would suggest putting the sign on the front door and not on the exit door? I had never tried the place before, but it's nearby to the Kroger I shop at, so I went in with my 2 year old in tow hoping to grab a bagel with cream cheese to go. Walked in and had no clue how to order... so I hopped in the cashier line about 5 people back and I figured the cashier could help me out. When it was my turn, I explained to her that it was my first time and that I just wanted a bagel to go. She immediately started chastising me for not understanding the process in an incredibly rude tone... told me that next time I need to get in the line on the other side of the restaurant that had formed while I was waiting in the cashier line. I explained this to her and she didn't seem to care at all. At some point after this exchange, I was warned that they didn't take card and I excused myself and left. If you don't want to put up an "order here" and "pay here" sign, at least don't be rude when a new customer comes in and doesn't understand how to order to go. Absolutely rude. read more

My review is more in regard to their service than their food. When I go there to buy rye bread, there are two gals who work there behind the counter and as servers who have dark hair (one is older and has been there a long time, the other younger) and they have a terrible attitude. I have seen the older server put her hands in the sliced onions and other things that are refrigerated without using plastic gloves, as well as one time when she was slicing my bread. That time, the younger one came up and had trash bags over her arm (looked like she was the one replacing the bags that afternoon in the trash cans) and started trying to help the other gal put the sliced bread in the bag WITH NO GLOVES ON. I was in there the other day and a nice young man waited on me and had gloves on while slicing my bread. The two women were staring at me and whispering like 2 teenagers (I am sure about the last time with the rye bread scenario) and made some snide remark to the guy about "Make sure you have gloves on" and then snickering. Don't worry, ladies, I won't be back. You are rude and obnoxious, and I guess the owner is desperate to find help. I would highly recommend Goldberg's across the street instead. read more
