I placed an order via Door Dash for two sandwiches. BLT on a roll with mayo and a Tuna on a roll with mayo. Each came with a cup of salad. Macaroni and Cole slaw. The BLT was 45% lettuce, 45% tomatoes that were NOT ripe, and 10% bacon. No mayo, it was extremely dry and I could not eat it. The Tuna on the roll was a small portion of Tuna and no mayo. Again a dry tasteless sandwich. Unable to eat. Both salads appeared NOT fresh. Off white color and Bad taste. Unable to eat. Basically my first and last time using BagelMan-Deliman. Once a week, we order from bagelmqn-deliman. So far I have only had 2 things and they were great. I ordered their pancakes which were fluffy, light and very tasty. I have had their BLT multiple times now. It is fantastic. Tons of crispy bacon. The first time I was concerned. It was all broken up and I didn't know what to expect. It was perfect. I have only been here once but seriously impressed with cleanliness, setup and how well the team handled the busy crowd. Located up the street from where I was waiting for my wife (MIchael's Salon), it was a quick and convenient location. I walked up to the counter and was immediately greeted by a team member who took my order (just a couple of bagels and a coffee) with a smile. I was also definitely impressed with their very complete selection of bagels, assorted toppings including meats and cheeses. She confirmed back with me and proceeded to prepare. Just a few minutes later it was complete. With a smile she rang up my purchase and I was on my way. I've only been here a couple of times, but my oh my, does this spot hit the spot! (Pun intended, I think?) I would LOVE to go all out and get a bagel sandwich with lox, cream cheese, and all of the fixings, but since it's a little more costly, I opted for their bagel with lox cream cheese for half the price, and it still hit all of those glorious notes. The bagel, I got the everything bagel, was super fresh and warm, and the lox cream cheese had a generous dose of the lox that I was wholeheartedly dreaming about -- those foodie desires are real, let me tell ya. They were pretty busy when I went on Sunday morning, but once one of the workers got wind that I was waiting, she swiftly got my order ready right away and was super kind. They also have spacious booths to dine in as well, and I always love a window seat, heh. Been putting off writing this review for far too long. While we live in North Merrick and there are quite a few bagel places between us and Bagelman, centrally located on Merrick Ave (next to Outback) - it is always well worth the drive. For the extra few minutes in the car you can get phenomenal bagels or all types... cream cheeses and tuna salad... and... oh yes, the egg salad. Let's explore their egg salad for a moment: I have a 7 year old son, and as you can imagine, he is picky with his meals and doesn't enjoy a wide variety. But he LOVES their egg salad - and to be honest - so does my wife and I. Not sure what it is - but there really is nothing like it - anywhere. Best egg salad I've ever had. And my son has me get it there at least once a week for him (he often has it on a hollowed out bagel!) Add in the absolutely fantastic staff who remembers me and my son, by name... always has a kind word and a smile on their face. Family owned - not a chain - just damned good food and service. On April 28th, 2022 at 12PM, my friends and I stopped by for a quick lunch. We were helped by a plump woman wearing a blue shirt, with glasses, & sparkly (bad) eyeshadow. My friends ordered their food and smoothies, but I ended up getting nothing but a mere bag of chips because we were spoken to in such a manner that made me super uncomfortable. I didn't trust this rude woman or any of the female staff for that matter, to handle my food. "I have been eating breakfast or lunch 3-4 days per week at Bagelman over the past 8 years. Their employees are exceptionally nice people and always provide great service. I honestly don't ever recall having a bad meal. My day starts off with a great cup of coffee. I'm still enjoying that special blend after all these years. My food choices include their great bagels, omelettes, lox, chicken salad and Whitefish. Several times a year, I order 2-3 pounds of Chopped Liver for my family. Nobody makes it better than Bagelman! I do not know what is going on in this place but all I can say is WOW!! First of all, I just had the absolute freshest and best tasting bagel EVER!! What really got me though was the service. They had a young girl who obviously just started and was very nervous. Of course we have all been there. The great thing was that the owner had lots of patience and was very encouraging to the new employee. It really was a nice thing to witness. On top of that, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. You just don't see that level of customer service these days so Thank you to the owner and staff. This place is alright. Pretty average type of deli on Long Island. It is not in the top although I do not feel that is their goal but they do have some good convenient food. I order breakfast from there all the time. They do deliver and the delivery guys is always nice. We occasionally get omlets, breakfast sandwiches, wraps, etc. This a good go to spot for on the way to work, event or something to pick up some food in morning. Nice staff as well! We live in Merrick and have gone to this location for breakfast sandwiches almost every weekend for at least a year. On more than a few occasions they have gotten our egg sandwich order incorrect (mostly because they don't write our 4 sandwich order down); but, typically their egg sandwiches are pretty good so we have continued to go there. 2 weeks ago I went there and ordered our typical egg sandwich and I got violently ill later that day (I know it was the eggs because it is all I ate all day). Again perhaps it is my fault but I convinced myself to give them another try. Today my son and I went to get an egg sandwich and ate it at the store (which we normally don't do). After eating one bite my 8 year son found a full metal hair clip in his eggs. I immediately went up to one of the staff members to alert them about what we found and she said she would go to speak with the person who cooked our eggs. My son and I continued to eat the part of the egg sandwich that didn't have the hair clip in it expecting someone to approach us and at least offer a sincere apology and recognize that they made a pretty disgusting error. I am more than a little pissed that in the remaining 10 minutes we stayed there no one came up to us to try and make it right or even apologize. Had to tell the server what I wanted at least 3 times!!! When I got my bagel, it was wrong! Was never offered the free dozen bagels after making over $25 purchase...which they have a sign for when you purchase that much in their store, that you get the dozen bagels...I HAD TO ASK...it wasn't offered. The store manager made good on everything and everything was great after that. The bagels are nice and soft. PLEASE NOTE: that if you want the 3% cash back on your Chase AARP Credit Card, you will only get 1% as they don't list themselves as a RESTAURANT. I have contacted Chase about this and hopefully that will get rectified. read more

Bagels are the best in the area and there are a lot of bagel shops around. Big and soft bagels, always fresh. Always friendly service, and quick. If I had to give them a knock it would be that they don't participate in Uber eats. It's ok, I'll make the trip there, it's worth it. It's unfortunate to write this review because the food is very good, however the workers are very inconsiderate and not attentive to their customers. I say this because during this pandemic, against my girlfriends desires I decided to order out and support small businesses. However, one of the employees was handling money and then touching our food and coffee lids (where we put our mouth) immediately after touching the dirty bills, not to mention they were not even wearing gloves. To add on numerous occasions, the cashiers had made us wait for very long periods of times to pay for our already prepared meals that we had called ahead.
