I went looking for a plain cinnamon raisin bagel and a drink during the week in mid morning hours . It was not crowded ( three customers ahead of me).yet took forever to place and then receive my order . Since it was hot outside, I ordered a frozen mocha drink, which I assumed would come with whipped cream as on the picture in the window looked delicious. When the girl finally made mine, it came in a small cup for the price and had no whipped cream and it basically tasted like malted chocolate milk. No mocha flavor whatsoever and very sickly sweet and artificial tasting. The bagel was small and quite doughy. The place is set up fairly cute with couches to sit on however they need a quicker service, especially in the morning hours when people are in a rush to just get their things and run. And I'd stick with the hot coffee. read more

I enjoy a good bagel in the morning every so often. Having recently stopped at this place to give it a shot, I must say I was very disappointed. I hate writing negative reviews, but I could not find many positive things to say at all. First, the line to place an order was extremely long. It looked like only 2 workers were there the day I came, and the line just moved extremely slow. Then, I ordered an everything bagel, toasted, with cream cheese, to go. When I got my order, I just headed to my car to eat when I got to work. I was only a few minutes away. When I opened the wrapping, I noticed my bagel was not toasted at all, and that this was supposed to be an everything bagel and barely had any seeds on it. Look at my photos to see what they call an everything bagel. Lastly, it was so overloaded with cream cheese that I had to scrape some off. I usually enjoy a lot of cream cheese, but this ratio of cheese to bagel was ridiculous. Overall, I did not enjoy my bagel at all and won't be coming back. I feel like too many errors were made. Hopefully, they will schedule more workers to be they in the mornings going forward, as the issues I experienced could have been fixed, having more help. read more

If you don't want a sandwich order you have to wait a long time to pay as they don't have a separate line. They have great deals on frozen bagels, but are too lazy to properly mark them even though all need to do is mark a checkbox. They close much too early. We've been in Warren for 20+ years and this is our favorite bagel shop. We've tried several others in the area and we think they're the best. For those complaining about the lines, there is a reason why people are willing to wait for their fresh bagels. Their service team is always working hard to meet demand. Most of the team is Spanish-speaking and a few have limited English. I make a point to speak clearly and slowly while making eye contact to make sure they understand my order. A friendly smile also goes a long way. I've never had a problem with an incorrect order. Today is going to be a busy Saturday morning at Bagels-4-U and I'm up early checking their hours so I can go before the big rush. I'm going to pick up a dozen fresh bagels. Bagel was just ok. We only ordered 2 bagels but its mediocre. Took the order and its messed up. I ordered toast bagel but husband want his non-toasted. They messed up. Waiting for very long time to get our bagels, just 2 of them. Workers there are not friendly no customer services minded and screwed up a lot. Bagel was certainly for me. Love bagel spots that have French toast bagels to satisfy my love for the two breakfast classics. Bagel had the perfect crunch on the outside and was fluffy on the inside. Small pockets of cinnamon were great and the bagel was not overly sweet - a huge plus! Bathroom were spotless even after the morning rush and the staff all wore mask. My first time to this location. They were pretty busy on a Saturday morning. They have a pretty large menu selection along with a fairly large bagel selection. I'm eating my bagel right now and giving this place a 2 because the consistency in messing up orders is really really frustrating. The person who took my order wrote it down and still didn't toast my bagel. Last time when I asked for it toasted there was a person who tried to convince me that It didn't need to be because it was fresh and got an attitude. I recently went to Bagels-4-U for the second time in as many weeks. Bagels-4-U makes a good bagel. These aren't my first visits but it is the first time I noticed their cooking process. IMO, there are a few things that set Bagels-4-U apart from other immediately local shops: the oven & cooking process, the variety of bagels & spreads and the size of the shop. The variety of bagels and spreads/smears is just fantastic; they must have about 15 bagel varieties, if not more, and there are some that I have never seen before. For example, I went home with a blueberry and cinnamon burst bagels on Sunday. My favorite part is the oven. They obviously hand roll the bagels, but after boiling they throw them on these wooden boards and throw them in a sort of a rotisserie oven. It's an impressive oven process. This very large shop has plenty of room to sit and eat although most come and go. I am yet to receive any bad service resembled in some of the previous reviews. While I can see how there can be mistakes made in the ordering process, I have recently had accurate orders of varied bagels, spreads, tiffins and/or cookies. There are a bunch of employees and anyone can take an order. I have noticed that writing the order on a paper bag is a preferred method for taking orders. I'll definitely be back. read more

I think that the bagels from Bagels 4 U are pretty good.They are crispy on the outside and not to doughy on the inside.I normally buy 1dozen bagels at one shot. My favorite is sesame and everything. I also like to get Taylor ham egg n cheese on a sesame bagel or tuna salad which is also good. This place can get very busy. The lines can back up and organization is thrown to the wind. A lot of negative reviews on this place but I'm going to give it 4 stars based on my experience. Was excited to get this place after getting off the plane in NJ. We went straight from the airport as we took a red-eye and was starving and we were both excited for some pork roll (or Taylor ham, whatever you prefer), as we live in CA. The place was empty and we ordered right away. I didn't love the roll, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars but overall this hit the spot and I was satisfied! Even though this Yelp page is 2 stars (ever since I've been coming here it's always had a low rating) but I come here on a regular, practically every Sunday without fail to get my as always beacon egg an cheese on a bagel (don't forget the salt pepper and ketchup) & coffee of course. To be honest, I don't really understand why their ratings are low on here but I guess take into consideration that everyone comes here and not many have the time to write a review. (I've been using Yelp for the last 2+ years and this is my first review, ever.) If their experience was good they'll return. Hence why I've continued to come here every time. I'm being more active on their Yelp page because they deserve it. Clean, freshly made, good ol mom and pop bagel joint. What else are you asking for? For example, I just got myself a Beacon Egg and Cheese and I came as the grill was closing but the young girl that was serving me said "I'll make it for you". That's customer service. Employees are not very attentive and a bit rude. Great place to come if you get too much attention at home/work but have a really strong desire to be ignored in public. I typically recommend placing an order over the phone then try to pick up said order at the cashier if you're really interested in having the Invisible Man experience. Absolutely horrible, unfriendly service (and in Warren of all towns?), and the prices??? INSANE!!! If the overall quality were 100 times better, it would still be jacked up, and way overpriced! We got 2 flagels, 1 with a very light coat of chive cream cheese, and the other with a light coat of butter and chicken salad. And they went very light on the chicken salad (which was mediocre at best). Total? $17.00+!!! No drinks/coffee. I questioned the cashier how it could be THAT expensive, and you know what she did? Rather than apologizing, or simply stating that she was just an employee, and the owner sets the prices, she said, "oh, I forgot to charge you for the light coat of butter," which she did immediately thereafter. And so, she gave me a new total. I paid her in cash, left no tip, and we will never set foot inside this place again... not even if they were giving bagels away for free. Why? Because clearly, the owner is a cheap and money-hungry degenerate, who is price-gouging and taking advantage of Americans, in the midst of everything going on in the world. I've been coming here for years because it's the bagel shop that is closest to work. Typically I call in my order a good 10 mins before arrival and it's never ready. Never. I watch the people in line get there's and I'll get mine somewhere at the end of that line. And it's usually wrong. I ask for toasted with butter and I get non toasted with about a stick of cold butter (who eats that much cold butter?) order three things for coworkers, I'm surprised if I get two of those items. Part of the issue is that they don't understand you on the phone. They don't repeat your order so you have to have faith that they are competent. Unfortunately, I'll come back because it's the closest but if you have any place along your commute I'd recommend you going there. With that said, this does not reflect other Bagel-4-U locations. Worst bagel place I have ever been to. I have given them so many chances to give me even mediocre service and they still disappoint me every time. My order is wrong at least 75% of the time, and the staff has the worst attitude I have ever seen. They act like they are doing you a favor and have absolutely no sense of urgency or customer service. The coffee is horrible as well, and their bagels are inconsistent. Check out my picture. Tiny bagel with almost no "everything" on it. They also gave me regular cream cheese instead if lite veggie cream cheese. Not long ago I also asked for a grilled cheese. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews because we had a great experience. Device was fast and friendly and the bagels were amazing!

I have had very many experiences here and do continue to buy bagels here. To start my number one issue here is jus ta lack of attentiveness to what you are ordering. There have been multiple times where I have called ahead and had the order messed up. However my biggest issue is when I am there in person ordering and they walk away half way through me talking and mess it up, that is where I have the issue. On multiple times I have been charged for the full price of something and then receive half of it. If I am ordering and paying $11 for a bagel with cream cheese and lox and you forget to put the lox on, where is the miscommunication. It was completely on their fault and then the girl tried to tell me I did not pay for the lox. They do have really good bagels but it comes to a point where is the shitty service really worth it. read more

I have to agree the bagels are very good. I have gone to the store for many years and waited online for incredible amounts of time. I just can't understand why this one place is so slow. There's also one girl behind the counter that almost consistently gets my order wrong. She got the order of the person in front of me wrong. After giving her my 1 sandwich order came back about 5 minutes later and asked me to repeat my order. I stopped going there because of the service but as I walked by saw 1 person on line. Bagels are decent. Hard to see what type they have because the bins are blocked by the tall counter. What I struggle to get past is that my order has been wrong the last three times I've been here. The biggest mess up being forgetting to put meat on the breakfast sandwich more than once. They write nothing down and treat you like you're an annoyance. This place is hard to review, the bagels are the best around. So many different types and they are fresh and made on site. The problem is customer service. The one in Martinsville has people that seem unhappy which make for slow service as if they don't want to be there. The one in Raritan and Branchburg are slightly better. The set up makes for slow service. Anyway if you can get past the low morale the bagels are awesome. read more

My fiance placed an order, after waiting 20 minutes he is handed the WRONG order. The woman then argues with him about what he ordered (I'm a vegetarian, he definitely didn't order porkroll on my sandwich). She finally concedes & makes him 2 new sandwiches. We both wish he had saved his money & walked out. The sandwiches were disgusting, sloppy messes & their "Bialy" bagel is NOT a bialy, it was an over cooked bagel with bialy like toppings.
